Thanks Margaret. There are only a few videos on this machine but yours is by far the clearest and easiest to follow. Especially that tricky part with the looper!
@@SewingMachineWarehouse I have just received mine and I would love to see more videos in future! I almost went with a Brother just because there are more people doing demos online with them...!! This video was perfect, thank you Margaret - I agree with Karin, especially as I needed help with That Tricky Bit (you all know which one I mean) threading the looper! The instruction manual was definitely not enough information for me.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I am in the United States and I'm waiting for my 1700QVP to arrive from my local dealer. I really appreciate all the details you included. I also have not heard of using regular sewing thread on a Cover Stitch. I used serger thread with my previous Cover Stitch and didn't like the quality of the stitch. Thank you for that tip! If I was in Australia I would stop by your shop. Once again....thank you thank you for the excellent tutorial!
Just unboxed my christmas gift to myself... a Juki MCS 1500n! It is replacing a Bernina Bernette 2 needle lockstitch that keeps locking up and the mechanic cant get it to unlock for more than 10 minutes. idk. whatever, it's almost identical to my new Juki, but the Juki is 3 needle! Stoked! Now to figure out how to make my stitches pretty! Thank you for the video! I might need to start making videos to pay for all these machines I keep buying! ha! My babies: Juki HZL-G220, Brother PE535 Embroidery, Brother DZ1234 Serger, Brother CP100X as backup or if I'm working with multiple thread colors, and a 1974 Kenmore Heavy Duty (my first machine). The Juki MCS fits in quite nicely with my collection of fabric assembly machines!
Thank You for this informative and extremely helpful tutorial. I have owned this machine for over a year, struggling with threads constantly breaking, reason being I was told use serger thread. After watching you problems solved!!! Again many thanks.
I'm still deciding which coverstitch to buy, so your tutorial was really helpful to me. It looks like a lovely little machine. Maybe a little more complicated than some to thread but the stitch quality and performance certainly make it worthwhile.
Thank you very much Margaret. I wish I lived Australia, I'd purchase my machine from you. Is there a way to get a pattern/purchase from you. I love your demo on the Juki TL-2010 and the MO-1000 Serger. Shipping to the US would cost a fortune. You are the best at demonstrating machines. BJ
This is the best video I have seen on this machine. I have had this machine for over a year and love it, but in the begining I had a hard time threading the looper. I was always missing the first guide right below the thread holder. I haven't found anything about oiling this machine. Does it need to be oiled?
I just received my machine and learned a lot from this video. It looks like you didn't thread through one of the thread points toward the end of the looper threading. It would be the 3rd from the last step which is a double twist around the curly metal piece below the looper lever. It is not necessary to thread that position? My first attempt at threading isn't quite right...gonna take some practice.
Hi. i just purchased this but i have some problem with that. It happened skipping when i sew side line t-shirts.. and stretching fabrics.. Couyou let me know how can i do..😢
When ending stitching, I thought you were supposed to have the needle at its highest position and pull the threads toward you and then toward the back.
Can you do a demo on threading the MCs-1500? I’m having problems with loose stitching. Even though I have rethreaded it four times the stitching is whacky!
Great demonstration (other than the camera being a bit out of focus). Thank you so much!
I have one of these and use it all the time. It does not skip stitches. I highly recommend.

Thanks Karin, we plan to feature this machine more in future videos

I just purchased this machine and I also am in the U.S. and your video tutorial and tips were valuable, thank you so much.

THANK YOU so much for showing how to thread this machine....especially the lower looper. Excellent tutorial!
Just bought this machine it’s amazing still working out how it works . Thank you for the video 🇦🇺💗

The information in this video is GOLDEN!
Thank you! #juki #coverstitch
Great tutorial. Thanks very much for solving a few ‘glitches’ I was having.
Coverstitch Machine goals! I have a Singer Coverstitch 😐 Thanks for the walk around video.
Thank you! Great demonstration that is easy to follow. ❤
Love the video. Had so much detail. Thank you.
Do you have a pdf pattern for this cover?

Pigtail guide prior to looper was missed.
Can this do “ CHAIN STITCH “ ???

The last half of the video covers threading it.

Your video is out of focus. I wish I could see your demo more clearly.
I’m hard to put thread below can you teach me
This is a gem of a video, but with 1980s quality filming. With better videography, it would be epic!
I am a beginner who only owns a small brother machine and I’m learning with youtube. Is this machine ok for beginners?
Wondering how to oil the MCS 1500...no directions in manual...thanks
Good video, but noisy machine. High Pitch.
