Sounds like either frigate or cruiser are best; either get three times the loot in one run or across three runs at the faster clear speed that a cruiser can do, unless the enemies are scaled by ship type...
Enemies don't scale. Higher tier Abyssals add more enemies but no enemy ever is stronger. Destroyers can be really good though, double loot is quite lucrative with the right destroyer (watching a Thrasher run T0s in literally 3 mins is hilarious)
You timed this video perfectly! Just tried my hand at running T1 and T2 Abyss' in a Retribution. Turns out T2's are significantly harder than I expected. @@captainbenzie I feel like this is incorrect given the stats on Darks at abysstracker. Can you make a video using a gila in a Dark to see if this is actually the case?
If your running some of the higher tier abyss i would be careful where u open a trace, but for the lower once there shouldent be any danger. I´m not saying it cant happen but i have been running atleast around 100 T1 abyss by now and have never once been ganked coming out. The system i run them in is less then 10 jumps from Jita and is a very populated system with local rarely going below 30. So for new players dont think that u have to find some secret method to stay safe and not get ganked becouse if u run T2 and lower the odds of u getting ganked is very very small even in high traffic systems. I mean before they changed what u could run in what system ppl were running them in the Jita system so mutch that ppl started to complain and thats the most high traffic system in the game by a VERY LARGE margin.
ah, so you tethered yourself (set orbit) to the cargo/cashbox? Is that to keep yourself from accidentally hitting the invisible wall? Is this a good strat for the T1 T2 etc?
Just to understand correctly. A Tier 1 (as example) spawns the same no. Of enemies not depending if a Frigate or Cruiser is used to clear it? But the value of loot is higher by using a Frigate, right?
Correct. A T1 is a T1. But using 2 Filaments for a destroyer effectively doubles the loot, 3 for a frigate effectively triples it. But you're using a smaller, more fragile (theoretically) ship.
