Used to use my Drake to clear rats in Gas sites for my Corpmates when we lived in a C2, so of course also did the combat sites. There were one or 2 sites you had to be careful with but in the 2 years I was doing this I never lost a single Drake. Still miss those days.
Tried this fit and it worked like a charm. I swapped out the shield amps for multispectrum shield boosters and when they got me higher EHP and resistances I realized it was because I hadn't trained the shield amp skills at all, which I now have begun doing. Thanks for this fitting guide!

Don't go and use a drake untill you have at BARE minimum lvl 4 in the bc skill AND in the supporting skills (shields, weapons etc) or you'll find that it's not as easy as this captain is trying to lead you on. You will need to skill for shields so your shield doesn't get drained as fast, you will need alot of the so called magic 14 skills or you can't fit the ship properly. This all is all before you even consider getting jumped by a cloaked t3 that will have you for lunch (again, especially if you're poor in the skill department) other than that, the drake is a fine pick and very suitable. I've used them in groups to make clearing a wh system really fast. Apart from the passive shield regen, there was the panic route if someone dared to jump us and single out one of us: we were spider fitted, which means for a certain duration we could boost each others shield back up. With the many many missiles that would come at you from all our drakes, not much would dare engage unless it was really thouroughly prepared and given that we would have scouted ahead: not going to happen either. also if you've been at it for a while, consider using a navy drake if you've built up bank enough. Probably best not to jump in blind though!
Agreed with everything except the Navy Drake. It barely does the sites faster, is just as susceptable to being ganked as the standard, but for a significantly higher cost. If you're going to spend that much on a ship, better to aim for a Cerberus or similar.
Actually quite happy to see the drake isn't just a meme! Getting back into EO and wanting to rat,so starting in an algo and moving up! Drake might be endgoal
I fit my Drake like a Command Ship with burst modules...since that's something I'd maybe like to do later. Your signature radius is HUGE. Not sure you can reduce incoming damage on that thing.
@@drgnslr154555 Lots of missile skill training ahead. Other than that, look what requirements the fit parts had, you're quite good to go along those lines. Probably faster to get some use is to first train just a bit of the missile skills, then go for the equipment requirement, then head for the lvl 5 heavy missiles and heavy missile specialization after it. Well.. of course the battlecruiser skill as well and bits here and there, but I'd go like battlecruiser 3 + basic (relatively fastly trained) missile skills, equipment requirement, then to the heavy missile specialization. "Fast" is relative here...
If you're sitting still, you're NOT pre-aligned. Being aligned means being at atleast 75% of your maximum speed and going in the direction of whatever you want to warp to. If you then click warp, you'll warp immediatly. Sitting still, you will need to get up to speed first, which will in case of this drake cost 8.21 sec. Plenty time to get tackled.
@captainbenzie OK, I thought so, I guess my ultimate question is, how can you "be aligned" and get anything else done? In other words, if being aligned is achieved as described above, meaning you have to be up to speed and facing the target you are aligned with, how can you engage in combat or mine minerals for instance if you are just constantly traveling towards the gate? To me, it seems pretty pointless. Does this make any sense or am I.missing something?
I am no combat pilot, but i still like to have knowledge in combat Currently i am flying an endurance (finally), and i love it. I use it for ice and ore, was worth the 25 million isk it costed With the 300% role bonus to ore and 50% ice mining yield, paired with the high capacity, Miner II, and 3 t2 mining drones it can tear rocks apart quite fast (also can hold 3 light drones against rats). For ice i have to use t1 stuff, as i am lacking the skills still to go t2, and will be for some time. I also like that i can just cloak up when in danger (probably saved my ass twice today), and i am not stopping to beef up the drones even more, before getting a barge, or hell even a propoise straight up. I will use the endurance for a while, as i like speed, and i dont mind the slower mining rate too much (yes a procurer can mine faster, but the skills take time, and it costs way more) I will keep doing this for a while, before getting started in industry, and start to make some stuff
Work towards the modulated deep core miners. It's ridiculous how much rock you can eat (on an endurance with 1 modulated DCM and a type A crystal I, I can get 1400m3 per cycle without any additional upgrades; on a prospect, I can get 773m3 per miner per cycle with 2 miners), but the only downside is the limited range of rocks you can mine depending on your crystals and the need to skill into each crystal separately. Imo the expedition frigates are much more lucrative than a procurer, just because you can mine in really sketchy areas.
Thank you for the content! I'm currently only a few skills off to complete this build! The last missile and the last drone skill and I'll have it! Then I need to buy them haha and train them for 2months :( but I'm almost there!
I did a build along while watching the video. The only thing I would do differently is make the EM shield amp a Pithum-C and swap out the thermal shield amp for a multispectrum shield hardener II. With my skills its giving me 66EM 53TH 65KN 71EX with 58k EHP. I'm still cap stable at 68.2%. I also went with the field purger 2's so the regen is sitting at 222. Great video and great build!!
@@captainbenzie That's definitely a concern, the added shield regen plus taking less damage from all other types would hopefully offset it. If it dies we know it doesn't work lol. Thanks for the reply!
@@captainbenzie Can i run with this fit all the Cosmic Anomalies in c2 i mean: Perimeter Checkpoint, Perimeter Hangar, The Ruins of Enclave Cohort 27, Sleeper Data Sanctuary
Quite late, but I remember flying a Drake very similar to this while I lived in a hole back before I took a break from EVE a few years ago. Getting back into the game again now, and decided to use this as a baseline to update my old fit for hole diving. Only modifications are that I used T2 rigs and replaced the Guidance Computer with a Multispectrum Hardener 2. Need to wait a while longer for ships to get in range, but it's significantly tankier, and should made C3 holes somewhat more viable.
Just to confirm, if you're using the caldari navy scourge heavies you only need to worry about which script is running? While more expensive, that seems like the easier approach to take if not super comfortable with switching missile types yet and 1 less thing to worry about.
I have a few Drakes in storage and I tried this fit for general missions and the tank is awesome. Getting like 64K or more tank and it just swallows damage all day. I think the only change was I added a Damage Control 2. I just don't feel properly dressed without a DC2 fitted. Oh yes and the large version of the rigs.
@@chucknorrisffs You should have seen it pre-nerf 15 years ago.. Nothing Battleship or smaller could touch it. Usually took 2-3 of the meta battleships of the time to bring it down running fleets of these were amazing and the days are gone. This is right up there in my memories though with ganking macro ice miners using 3 hour old alts and destroyers in 1.0 space. And our 2 best achievements ever (to the point CCCP wrote to us and told us to stop, in a game that allows, pretty much anything) The Jita scam, where we convinced people to become temp war targets, warped them out to deadspace in Jita and gank them.. no cops. We ransomed a freighter for fortune once. And the Private message spam.. Spam someone with a PM request fast enough and they can't turn any modules on, move, dock anything at all.. so while you do that.. you gank them. Great for those annoying pests who sit on dock or gate.. and super funny for podding.
Just got a drake today. Do you think I should use your passive shield fit or do active shield fit? Also I always like to slap on a damage control or a multi spectrum hardener for the extra resistances, so which modules should I replace?
Active or passive depends on your skills and playstyle. Passive is much safer when neuts are involved as your tank holds even when out of capacitor. In the case of the fit here, I don't think a DCU is necessary, it works without it. If you really wanted to add one, you could swap any of the lows. Swapping the BCU would up your survivability, but lower your damage, meaning sites take longer and use more ammo, but swapping a relay will reduce your passive shield regen - this may not be an issue as you'll have higher resists but does somewhat negate the point of fitting a DCU.
One thing that wasn’t mentioned that is critical to passive shield tanking is the regeneration gradient. Shield regeneration is lowest at 100%, and this is the value shown in the fitting screen. It maxes out at 30% shield, though I don’t know the formula. Tl;dr if your shield doesn’t stabilize by 30% you are not going to tank it.
Hi I have spend almost every hour of my summer holiday working up to 100 mill isk. If this works, I’ll be very grateful, but if it doesn’t, I’m pretty much broke. The heavy missile launcher 2s take a month to skill into, would it be viable just to use heavy missile 1s? Also is the Mobile Tractor Unit available to alpha’s? And could this method lead to me to PLEX my account? Very useful video 👍😄
Use Arbalests, never T1, and yes the Drake will still work. Also, never fly anything you can't afford to lose. If losing this ship will make you broke, save up a little more first.
I'm not so sure this build is alpha friendly nor skill friendly. As someone who has been working on this build, its pretty hard getting 250 dps, let alone 400 as seen in the fitting without alot of skill training and omega items such as the missiles. It also does need a reasonable level of training in energy and capacitor skills to be able to be used. It's a decent build imo but the idea of 80mil per hour is abit of a high bar without most of the skills needed trained in the high range and certain omega items.
The skills are all Alpha friendly - you mention the missiles specifically, but an Alpha can train Heavy Missile 5 and Heavy Missile Specialisation 3, which is exactly what I'm using here. I'm also using Caldari BC 4 only, which is the Alpha cap, and even my missile support skills are only max 4, whereas an alpha caps at 3. The difference between Missile Bombardment 3 and 4 is 2%. I didn't say "Day One", it's an aspirational ship for sure, but it is absolutely alpha friendly. I'm also using zero implants, and alpha's can train Biology/Cybernetics 3. That would make up for the skill cap limit.
Why didn't you loot the Unit, show the total loots WORTH in cargo? I was waiting to see if what you claim 20 mil is real or not but that didn't happen?
Love this content. If you are alpha with some decent skills. What would you upgrade this ship to that isnt as spendy as a T3? Preferably that adds a little WH saftey... Could you theory craft a curse maybe? Not visible on Dscan
On a side note about the drake. Against wormhole rats they are omni tanked so use scourge missiles exclusively but if you are using the drake in k-space use appropriate missiles for the target UNLESS you have caldari BC 5 if you have that run scourge missiles against everything. This is true for most caldari missile ships with the kinetic only damage bonus. As for training battlecruisers 5 that should be way down the priority list behind all the appropriate missile skills, fitting skills, and the magic 14 because the benefit is small for the very long train and you would be arguably better off to train cruisers 5 and get into a tengu or an HAC or start training into a gila.
In this case, I don't think BC5 is below all of the Magic 14, being able to JUST use Scourge is pretty big since you don't have to stock or change ammo and many of the Magic 14 are pretty useless for many players. M14 was designed as a list of "These CAN help anyone" not "Everyone should train all these".
@@captainbenzie that's a fair argument but at the same time most of the magic 14 (and I agree getting past 4 for a lot of them isn't the most beneficial use of time) are under a week to train BC5 is like a month and I think for a new player that month of training would be better put towards cruisers 5 to get into a HAC or a T3.
You don't need the same skills and DPS as I have here. Being able to fly the ship and fit with decent skills is enough. As I say in the video, it'll run the sites well at lower skills, they just take slightly longer.
@@captainbenzienahhh, first i had 44km max flight missile range with the guidance range script, and 1500damage, and almost the half of the shield recharge, i tried it, it didnt work, i died, after 2 months of skill training it was 64 km i think and 2062 damage and and 100~ shield recharge, i had to warp out 3 times to beat all the 3 waves, i dont want to be that guy, but hell nah, you have to be omega and train allat to have beat c2 wh sites
@@petertisza9089 simply not true as I was alpha when I first did it, during my time with Signal Cartel. Neither the Drake nor the combat sites have changed since then. You just need to kite.
You could do C3's but I would steer clear of the Outpost site. That site wrecks and you need at least 600 ehp/s. Additionally clear speed wise you may not do more than 2 per hour. Might do less if your skills are low so I would recommend higher skills before taking on C3's. Fit wise I would put a EM Hardener and Multi Hardener in replace of the EM and Thermal shield simply because Sleeper rats deal omni damage. At All 5 you are still cap stable. If capacitor is a concern I would recommend turning off hardeners when most of the cruisers and battleships have been taken off the field (Passive tank is still 300 EHP/s). Good practice for capacitor management. I would recommend a precision script if you feel like hitting frigates with heavy missiles. Doing this gives a max 532 ehp/s and cap stable at 46.2% (94.8% without hardeners)
Sleeper rats do not deal omni damage. They have EM/Thermal turrets, and Explosive/Kinetic missiles. These two weapons will deal different damage to different ships. Because the Drake is slower and heavier, it gets hit by the turrets solidly. The missiles in C2s are usually light missiles and do not do much Exp/Kin damage to the ship. It's not always about the theoretical/paper EHP, its about what that means in practice (the example I give here is that if you had 50% resistances across the board, you might have more EHP than a ship that's got 60% EM/Therm, 30/20 Kin/Exp, but I'd rather use the second ship if I'm going against a laser ship)
Because I'm showcasing the fit, not the guide. It's an excellent tool that I use myself, but I'm running on the understanding that this video is the fit and ship only so as not to end up making it longer than it needs to be. That said, I should absolutely do a video on Rykkis Guide!!
Interesting, i suppose it's ok for C2, but i'd still rather have an active fit with less shield extenders, so more ballistic control to do a bit better DPS and a missile computer just to have abetter chance of fighting a virtue fitted ninja scanning ham loki.
when i throw this in the simulator im only getting about 200 DPS would yo know the reason for that? I just started a few weeks ago but I am omega, I was assuming this would have something to do with skills?
I just simulated the fit, and my numbers werent close to yours, and my capacitor wont run it all. Am I doing something wrong? I am new to EVE so be gentle haha
Not doing anything wrong, I just have higher skills. You won't need the numbers you see here to get started, just the ability to fly it. So get that skill queue training, and good luck! (Oh also, find a corp!!)
You don't need these full stats. I'm very highly skilled and I'm not about to extract down for every video I do 😉 but you really don't need stats this high
I am really new to eve and already mae alot of money doing exploration. But i have no clue on wthat to skill into. Do you have a skill plan or anything for the build? Also in what corp are you?
One of the biggest mistakes a new player makes is going gung-ho into training weapons, then finding they cannot fit them because they didn't do fitting skills first. Common mistake in this game, may take time but get them up to 4 or 5 as soon as.
I have a question. I've been fiddling with a fit for the Cyclone for ratting in C2s, where it's fitted for both combat and scanning. Now, I know that this idea is not optimal, but I really like the concept of staying in one ship for both scanning and fighting and the Cyclone has two high slots to spare. My Heron would definitely scan faster, but then I need to take the time to warp between ships. It has fairly impressive dps and the bonus to shield boosters can make it rather tanky. The only downside is the longer scan time and honesly, for casual play I don't mind taking a little longer scanning down anomalies. Is there something I'm missing? Am I totally crazy? 😀
If you are a new player its going to take months to properly train the skills to use this efficiently. I have about 25M SP already and only get about 260 dps with this fit as opposed to the 400dps hes getting. Not enough skills trained for even me
I didn't know you could use a referral link even if you've already been playing EVE Online. I've just used it on my existing account to get the 1 million skill points. I thought that only worked on new accounts.
How are you getting so much DPS I only get 343.7 with Omega acount left to Alpha meaning I have maxxed out skills even my defense is less that that and my C2 has no effects
When you go Alpha, you don't get the benefit of skills you trained as omega. Some of the higher skills are omega locked. The good news is that DPS is sufficient

If you find you're not taking much damage, it's doable. With only L4 Caldari BC (16% resists rather than full 20%), I found I was barely surviving some of the tougher waves. Bear that in mind. 😊
Why do I feel like there's about to be a lot more Drakes on zkillboard in the hands of newbies diving them into WHs, lol? Are these secretly feeder videos? ;)
That’s the downside to the drake, if your caught you have no tricks to get away from anything. ECM drones maybe but it’s a gamble. Still good to try tho.
@@captainbenzie Yeah, or cannon fodder. Same thing, right? Jesus... They'll lose the ship at the entrance. You should have enough "meat" in your fridge when they do blow up. All the "meat" they can give.
Absolutely! I tend to leave all the MTUs bookmarked (scoop the MTU, leave the bookmark) then I come back and salvage everything with a dedicated salvager
The salvage isn’t worth a great deal of isk. However I am training into tech 3 manufacturing right now so it all adds up for me. For a c2 site. I’d say the salvage is only around 4-500k per site max..

@@captainbenzie Thanks! I put Caldari Navy Scourge but only 375. I see the bonus now in the show info, I missed that lolol. My CBC skill is level 5 and still short a bit, not sure where to look.
Not true. Whilst there are some C2s that have C5 static connections, they're no more common than any other static connection. On top of this, wandering wormholes are more likely to spawn in +/- 1. C2s therefore are most likely to get C1, C2, or C3 wandering connections, so if the C2 lacks a C5 static, they're fairly rare to connect to. Lived in one for about six months and we'd get a C5 maybe once or twice a month at most.
You didnt told us one thing, you have to train 2-3months of missile bonus skills, im not talking about the basics like heavy missile etc, im talkin about warhead, guided missile prec, missile bombardment etc to have 2000dmg max as an alpha, if you want that 2500dmg you need to be omega and train allllllllot, i like your videos cap but dont forget, not everyone playing this game since bc 100
You don't need to have the skills I have. The ship works at lower skills. I just don't have the capability to set up a new clone for every demonstration 😉
Sorry to re-ping an older video, but why don't you align to your safe & just cut your speed? If someone comes in you just hit the plus (or shortcut key) & warp off. You're already pre-aligned.

Im assuming your character is omega, because i have a max (for this ship) character, that is currently in alpha, and im getting way worse missile stats than you are showing. range 63km v 54 km, 418 dps v 381 dps. 49,894 EHP v 45,849, 183 hp/s v 164 hp/s . All shield resists are a little lower because of alpha, targeting, speed...now im going through it its horrible to see how gimped this character is in alpha. But then its free to play, so cant really complain. I am pointing these differences out because you start the video by saying this is "completly alpha friendly"...and then say it several more times. I would have prefered if you had used an alpha character in this ship to demonstrate. Otherwise, another excellent video, as usual.
Yes, I just don't have the capability to make an account for every individual ship - the actual numbers won't matter, but the concept works for alphas too, you just may need to swap some modules down.
Been through 5 wormholes, just to do relic sites, died all 5 times to players, honestly as a new player its risky and to costly, even in something cheap, new players dont have isk to replace stuff
Firstly, new players shouldn't be solo. Join a corp. Secondly, I spent months with Signal Cartel after coming back to EVE flying through wormholes and rarely lost a ship. Scout properly, fly smart, be constantly alert.
You can: • Google the name • Check Tripwire • Look at the cosmic anomaly names • Check the wormhole on the way in (Unknown Parts of Space means C1, C2, or C3) • Check the skybox. All J-Space systems have their own unique skybox. Best way is Tripwire, and I did a video on using it!!
The Drake was so good they crippled it, if you think it's good now, you missed out. It was monster, a tank that could run LVL 4 missions, low DPS so it took a while, it was favourite for low sec and fleets, until it was too good and too popular.
I used to do these sites with a Brutix. You may want to verify it, but I think the Brutix is capable of better DPS. So you will finish the sites faster. But I think the Brutix is a little less tanky. I used to trade out Mag field stabilizers for energized membranes depending on how much dps/tank I wanted. Like I said, verify this for yourself because it was years ago when I was doing this and much may have changed. Alpha Friendly doesn't mean Day One, and you can drop several of the modules in quality from T2 to lower tech and it works. Either way, 80 days isn't that long to get into a fully functional Battlecruiser. EVE takes time.
Seriously, a video from 1 month ago showcasing the passive drake like it isn't a 15 year old fit.. You all missed out on the "real" passive drake pre nerf back in the day which could tank pretty much any battleship and smaller fit in the game, forever.
My aim of this video was to showcase that it still works since old content often gets overlooked as outdated. You're saying this like I have no idea what a Drake used to be like, and assuming I haven't been playing since 2012 - whilst ultimately that's the entire reason I made this video 😊

True!
This all is all before you even consider getting jumped by a cloaked t3 that will have you for lunch (again, especially if you're poor in the skill department)
other than that, the drake is a fine pick and very suitable.
Drake is a great ship and you can train into it quickly
@@captainbenzie you wouldn't happen to have a skill plan for it floating around would you?
Yes, you can still bring your Drake.
I didn't say I was aligned and I've explained this mechanic in other videos 😉
How can you do that and orbit? Or do you not orbit?
@@kyleherrera3387 You can't do that whilst orbiting.
@kyleherrera3387 No, you've got it.
I am no combat pilot, but i still like to have knowledge in combat
Currently i am flying an endurance (finally), and i love it. I use it for ice and ore, was worth the 25 million isk it costed
With the 300% role bonus to ore and 50% ice mining yield, paired with the high capacity, Miner II, and 3 t2 mining drones it can tear rocks apart quite fast (also can hold 3 light drones against rats). I will use the endurance for a while, as i like speed, and i dont mind the slower mining rate too much (yes a procurer can mine faster, but the skills take time, and it costs way more)
I will keep doing this for a while, before getting started in industry, and start to make some stuff

Good luck and welcome home!
Just to confirm, if you're using the caldari navy scourge heavies you only need to worry about which script is running? While more expensive, that seems like the easier approach to take if not super comfortable with switching missile types yet and 1 less thing to worry about.
Switching scripts will still help your clear times. Use the Precision for most of it, swapping to range when you need a bit more.

You got this!
Awesome video!!
Thanks!
Decided to take my Harbinger out Wormhole ratting today. Wish me luck!
Good luck! Stay frosty!
Shield regen on is not linear. Most regen is at about 30%. I don't worry unless it quickly approaches 40%.
Yup
Why didn't you loot the Unit, show the total loots WORTH in cargo? I was waiting to see if what you claim 20 mil is real or not but that didn't happen?
The loot in all J-Space sites is set. You can check it on EVE University or EVE Survival.

Love this content. If you are alpha with some decent skills. What would you upgrade this ship to that isnt as spendy as a T3?
Preferably that adds a little WH saftey... Could you theory craft a curse maybe? Not visible on Dscan
Is it still that strong? I am a terrible fighter and have been mining / trading. Looking to do some encounters.
Yup! Just be aware that my numbers will be higher than most - they do not need to be as high as mine!!
I would love to know what skills you have for this because I just bought this exact setup and my dps, ehp...etc are nowhere near yours
Ahh, the good old battle plank
Haha that's a name I've not heard before!
May I ask you why there's no Rykki's guide mentioned or in description? That is the single best tool when it comes about wormhole ratting.
Because I'm showcasing the fit, not the guide. It's an excellent tool that I use myself, but I'm running on the understanding that this video is the fit and ship only so as not to end up making it longer than it needs to be. That said, I should absolutely do a video on Rykkis Guide!!

(Oh also, find a corp!!)
what skills do you need to achieve these stats fit alone is not matching
You don't need these full stats. I'm very highly skilled and I'm not about to extract down for every video I do 😉 but you really don't need stats this high
I am really new to eve and already mae alot of money doing exploration. But i have no clue on wthat to skill into. Do you have a skill plan or anything for the build? Also in what corp are you?
I am getting problem with fitting - powergrid and cpu is -20. What should I do?
Train fitting skills like Powergrid Management and CPU Management
Not enough skills trained for even me
The basic skills are not multiple months at all. Are you sure you're loading SCOURGE missiles?

Yes, I just don't have the capability to make an account for every individual ship - the actual numbers won't matter, but the concept works for alphas too, you just may need to swap some modules down.
how much money you make doing this type of sites?
15-20m every site, which take 15-20 mins to clear
What's the loot in the MTU? :O
It's the blue sleeper loot, how you make money off these sites.
Wondering if duo Gucci Strategic Destroyers could do these sites, haha
T3Cs can solo C3 sites. Drake can run C2s or C3s very slowly.
@@captainbenziedid all of the above, changed nothing as i cant detect clocked ships lol
Whats the minimum dps and ehp for this fit to work well?
Couldn't honestly tell you, offhand. Have Caldari BC 4, and get your shield and missile skills to 3/4 at least.
is 270 dps enough?😢
Hi quick question is it possible to get your overview?
I use the Signal Cartel one, freely available from their website 😊
@@captainbenzie thank you
@@Anvilshock 😂
How do you know that a wh system is C2?
You can:
• Google the name
• Check Tripwire
• Look at the cosmic anomaly names
• Check the wormhole on the way in (Unknown Parts of Space means C1, C2, or C3)
• Check the skybox. All J-Space systems have their own unique skybox.
Best way is Tripwire, and I did a video on using it!!
@@captainbenzie thanks 😁
The Drake was so good they crippled it, if you think it's good now, you missed out. It was monster, a tank that could run LVL 4 missions, low DPS so it took a while, it was favourite for low sec and fleets, until it was too good and too popular.
Yeah, I was there too 😉 it's still a great ship though, it's just not "meta defining" anymore which is GOOD. It's an option, rather than an answer
I was around during the drakes glory days. I loved my cookie cutter drake, felt like it could tank anything with its shield regen lol. Good times
Is there any Gallente ship to do this?
Several. None quite as good as the Drake but I'll be working my way through such options!
@@captainbenzie thanks, so I'm waiting
I used to do these sites with a Brutix. You may want to verify it, but I think the Brutix is capable of better DPS. So you will finish the sites faster. But I think the Brutix is a little less tanky. I used to trade out Mag field stabilizers for energized membranes depending on how much dps/tank I wanted. Like I said, verify this for yourself because it was years ago when I was doing this and much may have changed. I started using this ship after losing a T3 and deciding that I wanted to fly a cheaper ship that wouldn't hurt so much to lose.

@@erictyler3259 looking at a Brutix for this currently to showcase. It has higher DPS but significantly lower range, so I reckon it'll work out fairly similar on account of the quick kills being counterbalanced by increased time traveling to get into range. Fit looks solid though, I'll give it a play around and see how it goes!!
"Easy to skill into and alpha friendly"
Me looking at the 80 day long skill queue for this fit: man come on bro
Alpha Friendly doesn't mean Day One, and you can drop several of the modules in quality from T2 to lower tech and it works. Either way, 80 days isn't that long to get into a fully functional Battlecruiser. EVE takes time.
@@captainbenzie im an explorer so i havent done too much skilling for combat. I had no idea how much skilling some of these fits took
Looks pretty awesome but the Drake is 60 mil to buy!
Considering the sites give 20-25m per site you make that back quickly.
Cheap for some, maybe :(
I haven't even gotten my first Minmatar battlecruiser, let alone one from another nation- Currently about 35 mil away from that
It is cheap, you're just at the early point of the game where it takes a bit of time to earn that. Very soon you'll be finding anything under 500m "cheap" 😊
@@captainbenzie how do you begin to make that kinda cash?
@@direct0r for me, wormhole ratting. 42m per site, each site 15 mins. Abyssals can do that too. Gas Huffing can be up to 100m per hour. Exploration in Wormholes can get around that too.
But you build up over time. More lucrative activities require more expensive ships, but you can make 50m an hour in Abyssals on Day One.
FC can I bring my Drake?
Lmao 🤣
Only problem: the drake is like 48m isk
Cheap! You can make that in an hour in a Day One Tristan!
