    So pretty and intricate looking. Who knew a bunch of kites could make such a pretty star! I want to try this. I love stars and pinwheels. Thank you for showing it in a way that makes it so doable.

    Yes I love this is a simple project. I like sewing it together😊
    instead of gluing it
    Thank you

    Off to the fabric stash to find suitable Christmas fabric to try these. Who wants to do housework on a Monday anyway? 😉

    Love this idea. Try for a new ornament every year. Just found 2022. Give many away

    They are very pretty. However, I would want to use them at other times of the year. In royal blue and white (my team's colors) during a get together. Or during the Fourth of July in red, white, and blue at a family gathering. They could be used over and over again; because, they are washable.

    These are so pretty! You’re so funny, the small squares are “fiddly” to turn. I can see where they might be. Thank you for this idea.

    Ok Christine to help you turn these type buggers inside out I would use a straw and bodkin. Way back when I just used a good sturdy straw and a blunt chop stick. Put the straw thru the opening up to any corner then take the chop stick and push down a bit. Pull the straw out and turn thru. If needed you can repeat on more corners. I too have carpal tunnels issues and I find this helps my hands out a lot.

      You can do it Penny!! Just try it with a few squares of paper, fold them over, lay them out and you'll see how easy they really are. Even as paper ornaments, they'd be a great project to do with kids 😀

    Thank you Christine for this great video and I like your idea for making the squares in a strip. I was looking for a star for above the crèche at church and this was perfect.

      @@ChristinesHomeAffairs I just made my first star! It turned out really nicely. I wonder if it's possible to add something to the centre, like a button or an ornament? What would you suggest?

    • @ChristinesHomeAffairs
      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  2 роки тому +1

      @@thatsfunny2051 absolutely. You could embellish it with beads, crystals, buttons, or anything else you could think of 😃

    Lovely video Christine. I wonder if you could tell me what you think about your JACK sewing machine. I'm thinking of buying one after Christmas. Is there anything I should keep in mind before doing so. I would be using it for bag making and a little bit of quilting. Thanks, Clare.

    • @ChristinesHomeAffairs
      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  2 роки тому

      Thanks Clare. I love my Jack machines. I have two straight stitch machines and the 5 thread overlocker. The A4e & A5e are great for my alterations service, bags, and dressmaking. For quilting you might like the A5e. It has a wider throat space 😀

      @@ChristinesHomeAffairs Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Christine. I'm hoping to get the A5e in the new year. A local guy sells them and he is going to lug it upstairs to my sewing room and stay with me for an hour or so until he's satisfied that I'm happy with it! How's that for service with a smile! Thanks for your positivity about Jack!
