At this point just install Mac OS hahaha. I have both a windows PC and a Mac. Really love the UI of Mac OS. This theme and many others almost seem to be direct emulations of it

I have had this for months and all working a treat, It's really amazing work you have done with this! Looks so good. now I have finally gotten drop down file menus working on win11 and i need to make the menu bar same shade as the rest of my explorer window (It is not tabs bar to avoid confusion here, actual File, Edit, View etc... like old school windows, it is still slightly transparent but is in a much lighter shade)
If you told me this was a linux distro, I would believe it.

Thanks so much for this! Idk if I’ve been looking in the wrong places, but this has shown some of the biggest overhauls to the Windows UI I’ve seen in ages from 3rd party stuff.

I've tried this and it works perfectly on my laptop running Windows 11 (23h2). No visual bugs and 0 performance loss!

@@Muhammad-rx4eh I don’t think so but I don’t use my laptop unplugged so I can only say that I didn’t notice any additional cpu usage ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ CPU is at 3-4% as always with enabled MSI, RTSS and SteelSeries Sonar in the background so I think it’s okay. Oh and I noticed that transparent explorer is disabled on battery
I also really like the old taskbar as it is more efficient and responsive. The animations are very smooth compared to the default one.

My old issue right now is that explorer seems to have an issue where there is a bar below the search bar that has the options "File-Edit-View-Tools" that is a gross shade of grey and i cannot make it go away no matter what, even after following all your steps. Otherwise, it's a beautiful theme!
Some issues I seem to be having with this:
1. It seems to of disabled all apps I usually have open at startup, I have to open them all manually instead of them opening themselves like they usually do despite them being set to open at startup.
2. The navigation bar in File Explorer only seems to be accessible if I full-screen the explorer, otherwise it simply doesn't exist/not visible or intractable.

It's because of the theme you selected, make sure to not have mac variant selected and it'll work.

Micah effect is now "effect=2", but makes it even more transparent. Can't seem to get what you have, it's really transparent no matter what I do with the alpha. Still looks good though. Thanks for the tutorial, I haven't been able to get a good theme ever since Windows 11. My Windows 10 looked like MAC OS, you couldn't tell the difference.
make sure you have transparency turned on in settings > personalization > colors

BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN USING THIS. In this video a theme patcher is used. This can corrupt your OS and the official website is down and you are unable to download off the wayback machine. A lot of sites are malware and even the real version is dangerous. Please only use if being used on a brand new virtual machine like I am.
Same sh!t happned to me, I treid to use WinPaletter and Secureux theme , had to completey wipe and reset and even downgrade to win 10. cureently installing win 11..
I'm really afraid of custom theme & UXthemepatcher since Windows 8. There are users complaining the patcher bugs & they had to reinstall the Windows because of that. Seeing you comment now, it confirms my concern. I miss the good old days of Windows 7 when customization is plentiful
@@Cyan_Nightingale yeah it sucks its risky because its really nice to use. I used it on a VM because I was going to use it for coding and it turned out really nice but i would never try it on my main OS

Absolutely love this, and I love the WIN 7 command bar, however is it possible to restore the function of the explorer tab + button??
Tip: Use the third-party Files application instead of ExplorerBlurMica and set the app to default file manager.
Wish this theme was on w10 looks amazing.

@@vinstar Hey, I've had problems using Word with the dark version as well. The background is light yellow and the text is grey. It's more suitable than the night version.. but is there a way to get around the theme changing the background of my Office apps?

Everything works fine, the translucent file explorer, olive green themes, but for some reason.. 7TSP just doesn't wanna work! Like, whenever I patch it and reboot, the icons don't change! I've tried this with other icon packs and they don't work either. I'm currently on W11 22H2.

Oldnewexplorer is for win10 but I have used it only to hide text and icon in the titlebar of win11 explorer.

Worked great, thank you! My only issue is that in my File explorer the navigation bar and the file path disappeared? Maybe someone here knows the reason. Windows and StartAllBack is uptodate.
Edit: The issue seems to be the Win7 Command bar being bugged.

Hell of a UI. Smooth demonstration. Really nice. Just one question: does anything disrupt the changes, like windows updates, drivers installation, or anything else, so you have to do this again?
There is no problem with that but during the Windows major update, I suggest to change to default theme and then start the update.
During each major Windows update you have to face the risk of not having this entirely functional again until it gets patched properly, even if you revert to a default theme before updating. Always check that all the projects included are well maintained and backed by a strong community.

i really like this theme but some of my search bar on certain websites turned dark gray
Am I the only one who just thinks this is a nice way to break your system with every major update since Windows isn't as accustomed to custom theming as Linux DEs are? I remember the issues I faced with even the most popular custom dark theme for Windows 8.1, and random windows (even native ones such as certain custom panels) just being displayed badly, and eventually restoring back to the default theme was the sanest thing to do.

Only problem I'm having so far is that, randomly, my wallpaper (the one shared in the pinned comment) disappears and I have a black background. However, the theme says it's still there and even setting or changing the wallpaper does nothing. When I reboot, the wallpaper is black. Might be coincidence but it feels like it happens after I close Discord. It's definitely after I close most of my apps, anyway. Edit: Even stranger, when I click the desktop switcher icon on the task bar, the preview shows the wallpaper is there. As soon as I click the active desktop, it briefly shows the wallpaper and then it immediately goes black again.

It's interesting but I feel that it will wear on you quite quickly in a short time. It's nice don't get me wrong but it's a kinda want to try it out for a few days and go back to me previous theme again kinda thing.

Amazing stuff, How do i change the font color in context menus? for example if i right click a folder/file and hit properties, the font in properties is beige, hard to read

It's all pretty and what not but what about resource use?
There is one pretty critical bug with some unknown part of this setup: Some apps, when minimized, will leave a black screen over the entire monitor other than the task bar. You cannot see anything or interact with anything under it. You can't even open the task manager and use it, as it will be hidden under this black box. Discord, Notion, and some other apps do it. I unfortunately can't find a fix so I'm rolling back. Looks nice though!

When microsoft wont make good theme you must do it yourself:D but what after update/upgrade? and one more thing now you have two panels to pin apps..that would be much more of use if creator made modified taskbar just with info wothout pinned apps ( that is a job of a dock )

Is there any way to change the transluency of this effect? like if I have a complete white webpage opened and then I open windows explorer on top, I cant read the text because of the translucent background.
It works completely fine with darker windows but the text is unreadable if there is a complete white window open in back ground.

They are the Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha values.
The first 3 are straight forward, they're for colors. The 4th one tho is for transparency, I believe the higher valye you give it, the less see through it is

The window buttons on the top right are too close to the top of the window frame
the ExplorerBlurMica is missing a file
Install probs just didn’t work as intended. Try uninstalling and then re-installing the package/folder, re-apply the blur and see if that fixes things.
Failing that, if you can figure out what the missing file is from another source, you might just be able to copy-paste it onto your system and see if that fixes things. Just be careful that doesn’t affect other parts of your PC by doing that somehow…

honestly i cant get any theme to work, it says patched, but once i put the files in the windows theme folder, it actually shows a bunch of blank thumbnails for all the newly added themes, when i click on em, the only thing that changes is the accent color, but my explorer never changes, I'm on the latest version on windows 11, i assume its an incompatibility issue
It works fine, but the problem is that in some programs the background color and text are light, so you can't see what I'm writing

The Mica effect won't work for me sadly. When I run the setup file, it is successful but my explorer is completely transparent. No blur/mica effects at all.

I wasn't convinced by the design of the nexus bar, so I went back to the restore point and started the process again although I didn't want to go beyond the glass effect, which was set up correctly. I'm still deciding with other videos how to redesign the taskbar. Thank you very much.
I got this working perfectly, except for the Drive bars, which are still showing the thick bars. Any way to fix that?

Why aren't there options to customize our windows machines like this as a default? Windows be slacking so much with what we can be doing to have extremely good and clean desktops and feel not to mention can make it so much faster instead of just being forced to have so much bloat ware.
Sorry, i wish i had somthing good to say about this, i like the idea, however the lack of no one talking to explain how to do it just makes me want to turn it off. Having to read instructions on what next is to much like hard work.
Completely get what you mean, but this is pretty common for these “aesthetic UI” videos (and it’s worse on Linux).
Sadly, if you wanna make your OS look good, it’s often at the price of dealing with weird, obscure software with tutorials of the same calibre. I’m just grateful to see them change the UI this much. Often, it’s just a small taskbar change…

Wow, what society has become... What we have most today is people who are too lazy to read, now too lazy to pay attention to a simple tutorial video. Everything has to be chewed, otherwise it won't work. I was happy in the 2000s watching 240p tutorials recorded on WinXP, without a microphone and without anyone writing anything. I could barely read what was on the screen. I spent a while deciphering those steps, and in the end I treated it as a challenge achieved, then I thanked whoever provided me with the tutorial. Now there are people complaining about 4K videos, with very well demonstrated steps and a calm pace, just because there isn't someone telling you EXACTLY what should be done.
It's a slow and easy tutorial. You should stay with what you have if you can't do such simple stuff.
@@EaglexEyeGaming Yes it is slow and boring, that is my point, the presenter is just to lazy to do the tutorial right by actualy talking on it, just wants to put me to sleep, the same thing is happening all over youtube, they are getting to lazy and just want to do it the easy way and not put an effort into actualy making it worthwile watching, i am not asking for much, just a little bit of vocal action.
If I were to use DDU to completely wipe my graphics drivers, would any of these effects be removed?

Hey, amazing video been using this theme for some months now. My only questions is sometimes little boxes will be completely blacked out and when I type in them I cannot see what I am typing. Its not on every but its on mostly the important ones lol. Like I was signing up for classes for college and some of my boxes even the next page arrow the whole number and box was blacked out. Any recommendations I can find on nexus to fix this? I have been looking for a while and cannot find anything. I have tried all setting on chrome and windows settings and nothing helps. Anyone else experiencing this?
If anyone ever sees this, I think it was a glitch with an older version of windows. I recently updated my windows 11 and they vanished, that's all I know on how to fix it.

Yes I have used glass themes in my Window 7.. but still not satisfied as Java Or Symbian or nowadays Xiaomi's Themes 😢😢

It's funny, I downloaded the Theme, but it says only 1 image when I want to select it, not 27 images as in your video. I had the same issue with another theme downloaded...

My explorer search bar doesnt display unless the window is in fullscreen, anyway to make it work like yours when the explorer window is not fullscreened?
It doesn't work on Windows 11 Pro 22H2. When the theme is installed some folders will disappear in the "Quick Access" inside every folder and there's no way to make them appear again (maybe I couldn't figure it out). Also, when installing StartAllBack and using the EXACT SAME configurations you show on video, the search bar INSIDE folders disappear too.
My point is: When you did all those things in the video everything worked just fine, but when I replicated it didn't become the same as in the video. I really liked this theme but I can't use it.
Tested this theme in a new Windows installation after the update.
