This is seriously cool and a great tutorial on hacking the Win11 UI. Lots of fun. That said, the UI is just so much eye candy for most of us. The real work most of us do at the computer is on serious applications - Photoshop, ACR, Bridge, LR, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Ableton Live, etc. This is where I spend 98% of my time. The desktop is just a pretty face. I'm pretty OS agnostic, but tend to use macOS more than Win10 just because the integration is just so tight and bulletproof. My iPhone, iPad, iMac, MacBook Pro, and beasty little Hackintosh box all just work together nicely. I hate to use an overworked and tired old phrase, but it really is _seamless_ and I don't have to think about it. Nonetheless, this is cool and fun and a great little video. Sweet eye candy! I like to start the coming year fresh. So, I ordered the basic M2 MacBook Air. And I intend to do my computing tasks in this device uncluttered with 3rd party apps - unlike what I usually do with my Windows laptops.
My M1 Pro MacBook Pro (naming convention aside) is the best computer I ever owned. And when you add Crossover and Parallels with Geforce Now, (especially with Microsoft adding their games to it), I have no shortage of things to play. But yeah, I didn't buy it to play games :D
There is one thing with rounded taskbar. If not hidden, while browser is in full screen mode - it is pretty ugly, since it showing the background as well... But overal this was usefull video, thanks!
I really like the customization done here, but could someone let me know about how much of an impact this has on the battery life since rainmeter is always gonna be running in the background ?

There is a problem with the widgets where if i am on any application and i minimize all windows (drag down three finger/windows+D) only 2 widgets and the translucent background shows and the rest disappear until i press the window key. Is there any fix to that? Im quite habitual with the three finger gesture so whenever i do that i just seems kinda unsatisfying and i have to press the windows key again.

How are you getting those icons when you right click on desktop. I am still getting those usual icons and also I am not able to find dynamic mode inside roundedTB
Unforunately this does not replicate the menu bars of applications. And you can search menu bars in MacOS. On the flipside, menubar items in Mac OS can't be reached by the keyboard with the Alt key.

I really loved this. But I'm having some problems. You know there is a button in right down corner, "Show the desktop" or "Return to desktop". When I click that Big Sur Interface disappears, is there a way to solve that? And secondly, I noticed sometimes Droptop disappears too, idk why??

Stopped gaming on my windows laptop Sold it and got my self a MacBook Air 💻, besides customization and proper gaming it’s a great machine n’ I shutdown/restart my Mac like once a month n’ no blue screen unlike my time with windows. #ama still make that windows come back in the near future tho
Does anyone else have an issue with Droptop displaying the Now Playing text after you've closed the browser. It's still there even after rebooting. Tried Chrome and Firefox.
You can enable/disable "Always show song title" in the volume app settings in Droptop settings >> Options tab >> Apps tab >> Volume >> Always show song title (Set to ON/Off). When off, the song title will appear for 10 seconds when the song starts, and then disappear.
Not all windows PCs are cheap. With a budget of $3.2k, I had the option of choosing between an M1 pro and a PC but chose the latter. M1s compatibiliity issues makes it a poor choice for my kind of work.

Bit of an issue installing Rainmeter to your C:\Program Files folder then adding Droptop as you can't install as administrator. So I tried installing Rainmeter to my C:\Users\Me\Program Files folder and when I added Droptop, it installed to C:\Users\Me\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Droptop folder but didn't open the "Choose Language" option so I'm completely stuck. Any help appreciated.

I thought it was a permissions issue with me not being able to update the C:\Program Files folder - the error message suggested that but nice of you to reply.

I think, the start up time will take longer, consumes more energy (a lot of applications simultaneously working in he background). Not practical, more on aesthetical. 😁

Only reason I don’t go windows is because the eco system is wish washy. Too many choices, inconsistencies, and android based. Meaning more inconsistencies. Samsung tablets, random phone, random watch, etc. I just prefer a seamless transition between everything.

Can’t do much with it? Wtf are you talking about? You can do pretty much anything with it by just changing a few settings or using the Terminal.

You can return to homescreen by pressing Windows+M

MacOS is leagues above Windows in terms of design, if only MacOS had more support, and was generally cheaper to get into..

Hey when I try to use RoundedTB to close in the task bar only the right side works the left side just stays normal.
Go to Taskbar settings and align it left then back to centre - should fix it.

The AppDrawer on Droptop doesn't work. When I click it makes like a short buffering without any result. Any ideas?

is there a way to make rainmeter unload all its wigdets in full screen? Because it runs in the background when i am playing games and lowers my fps.
Enable game mode. There's a rainmeter icon on windows taskbar. Right click on it & enable game mode.

I found a solution! You have to exit Rainmeter App before beginning the installation of Droptop. I did it and it has worked for me.

Droptop won't install. The next screen never comes up to continue installation. It looks cool and I was really hoping yo try it.

Yes. Just close rainmeter & rounded tb from windows taskbar. Right click on the icons & click on exit/close.
