You can change the curser to look like macos curser in the windows settings: Settings --> accessibility --> Mouse curser --> Custom color --> Choose black. You dont need to download anything :)

Protip: Auto Dark Mode is a program that will automatically switch from light to dark mode based on location, kinda like windynamicdesktop but for your color theme, combine this with Dark Reader in Auto mode, and you have a more consistent experience

I've been using TaskbarX for over a year now, and trust me when I say that it's worth those few little bucks. It also works with my Windows 10 Pro Dev Build 21390. I also suggest taking advantage of the full-screen Start Menu. The default file system on Windows also has an option for previewing images and documents on the right of the panel. Oh, and that Visual Studio Code, though. I freaking love it!

I used some of these on my Windows workstation at the office and it turned out great! Also, you don't need a custom cursor package. Just go into the mouse settings in Control Panel and you can change it to the black cursor. I'm on 21H1 and it's built in. Not sure about older versions.
In the File Explorer window, click the View tab. In the Panes section, click the Preview Pane button. The Preview pane is added to the right side of the File Explorer window. Select several files one by one. You can preview their contents in the Preview Pane, if they are text, images, or videos.

Windows actually has a build-in archive software. U can mark all the files u want to zip and use your context menu (right click) ang go to send to -> zip archive. For extracting u can just right click to extract or double click to open the archive. Anyways, great video, thank you for the tips!

😂 I'm already using all the tools you suggested. Still a nice representation and good to have a public source that consolidates all the tools. Now I can just share this video to my non-techy friends. Two pro tips: 1. you can enable preview pane in normal file explorer too. It is handy when choosing files from browse dialog in programs. 2. Install "winget" command line to tool for installing programs. Literally you could install all the programs you showed using single command in power shell. Eg. winget install powertoys, winget install taskbarx, winget install 7zip Thats it single line to install your favourite programs
Would also like to mention that QTTtab Bar is a good alternative to "files app". Does pretty much the same job with multitab features etc, by integrating with Windows native file explorer.

Great video - but your workstation needs some serious sound insulation work - the echo on the recording doesn't do your justice. A few cool sound dampening panels on the walls would make such a difference to your videos. You are so good in front of the camera and with your content... this would take you to the next level.

Windows 10? Bloatware? Dude, its not 2015 anymore bro, get with the times. Windows 10 2021 is nothing but very useful features out of the box. Its security is even on par with Linux now, and its speed is sublime. Windows 10 only struggles on 32 bit machines with less than 4GB ram, but only poor 3rd world countries still use 32 bit ancient junk.
@@DiamondZombie Weather app and the xbox setting are both very useful apps that I personally use regularly. In fact, Microsoft has improved the weather app and made a "temperature" icon to display on the taskbar in the latest windows 10 update. Im a developer but also a gamer so the xbox integration is a huge plus (including microsoft's own gamepass as well). like I said, "bloatware" is a term that is no longer applicable to the current version of windows 10.
Windows 10 does come with the ability to compress/decompress files without 3rd party tools. Right Click Selected File/Files -> Send To -> Compressed (Zipped) folder ----- The Windows 10 screenshot short cut was new for me! Nice. Maybe I won't rely on the Snipping Tool app so much now.
For your Cursor option you did the long way. When you install the pack file to change cursor options you just right click the file and hit install. After that you launch the cursor settings and click the variety options and it will be there.
Zip file compression/decompression is natively supported in windows, and the feature you talk about browsing zips as folders is actually in Explorer by default, you even showed that in the video.

WinDynamicDesktop actually can also do this with the powershell scripts listed on their github.

For your Cursor option you did the long way.
When you install the pack file to change cursor options you just right click the file and hit install. After that you launch the cursor settings and click the variety options and it will be there.

Zip file compression/decompression is natively supported in windows, and the feature you talk about browsing zips as folders is actually in Explorer by default, you even showed that in the video.
