I'm not sure why your video popped up for me, but I can say as a woodwright ( frame to finish carpentry, fine furniture and cabinets) that it was neat to see your craft. Your attention to detail and design ideas, as well as your " tricks" to gain a desired effect are all things I can appreciate and use in my own line of work. You are a craftsman on your own level, and you should hold your head high with pride.
I don’t play Warhammer. I only stumbled across these videos because I watch a lot of restoration combined with magic/flesh and blood Contant. You’re very talented but what impresses me the most, is how kind you are to the people that initially painted these projects. You don’t discourage anyone from painting and if it fails, you only hope they went out and got something even cooler. Glad to see someone as supportive as you hopefully being a prominent figure in your community.
Looking good dude. I'm really digging the taking on projects others would consider a lost cause and turning them into models people can say looks great. I think a lot of people fear messing up a model, but with the will and some different techniques you can make most things work. Hopefully causes some people to smash through some projects that have been haunting tables for a while
BTW I see that this could be taken the wrong way. I more mean that the overall effect of the paint scheme is more important to me now than focusing on 6 levels of highlights on a tiny detail.

I hate to nitpick on such a fantastic job on restoring such a mess of a project, but I would want to go back in with a fine detail brush and some black paint to just to cover up that support wire on the mini's right foot as it connects with the terrain piece, the shine of the metal... it mocks me so!

Very nice base, but I think the Knight could use something to help tie it to its environment a bit more. One nice trick is to spray a very thin earthy color at low PSI over the feet to give the illusion of a patina of dirt that accumulated from it stomping around. Really helps to make it seem like the piece lives in its world.

The green turned out great. I think a bit of off-white on the pure white areas would be good for some definition. Pretty easy to do with an oil wash. The black gem stones would look good on this model with a simple Shifters paint. Jet black gems are kinda hard to pull off they require some paint transition to get the depth. I do get that the eldar players are split between painting them as gems or just lumps in the armor. I'm of the latter myself.
Excellent job! I’d have thought with the lettering you used the black ink for you might kept it a blue/white for that ethereal look, but too much can be a bad thing, so awesome as always!
Amazing resurrection of this model. Love the base, and I love the story of the restoration too. I know you were working to a clock here, but just four more hours applying some brushwork to the head and bringing out all the gems would’ve put this entirely over the top. It’s definitely something to be proud to put on the table though, especially given the model’s history.

I checked what a painted version of him goes for on ebay. 1 seller was from Russia(if that means anything) and he was posting "Psychomancer Professionally painted!!!!" Going for a few hundred bucks. The picture was literally the box art from GW's website -.-
The paint job's overall fantastic, far better than anything I could do, but a small point is that the Soul Gems on the armour probably would've looked better if they had some colour to them. With them being black, they just kind of look like primer parts of the model sticking through the paint job, and something like some red on them might have brought a nice pop of colour in to contrast the green. Sure, it's Christmas colours, but there's a reason they look good together. :p

Great choice of strong contrasting colors, and if there are physical flaws on there somewhere I can’t see them in the shadows, the eye naturally is drawn to the bright areas
I once saw one of my devilfish transports on ebay for sale in phoenix az a year or two ago I think. I live in bc canada, and sold it to a guy back around 2006 or so. My worst ebay rescue was a wave serpent, it had about 5+ layers of paint on it if I remember right - yellow, green, black, yellow, blue, black. It took about 2 weeks of soaking in simple green with daily scrubbing and picking with dental tools just to get it clean. Turned out alright amazingly. Not sure if it's worth it, but it was a good deal and hobby progress isn't always about getting it done in the least amount of time possible.
Thank you for the flashlight tip. I've had my air brush for several months. But it has remain in the box for several reasons not the least of which is I am a little intimidated by learning how to use it.
I really enjoyed this. Only thing I don't care for is the white bits. Everything else has such depth and character, the white bits contrast that and almost look unfinished, or like a naked primer they're so clean and monotone. Really like the coloring though. I've not seen one in greens like that before. Great to see something revived as well. Think I'll have to sub and check the place out. You do some good work!
Damn you, lol I've got a Eldar army completely primed and base coated in a dark red metalic(Turbo dork Red Rum) that I'm now thinking about stripping and going Biel Tan
As a fellow eBay vulture, a chunk of my minis I have are eBay and bone yard rescues. My Ghazkull, Yarrick, stormraven, shadowsword, armorcast warhound and reaver to name a few.
It pains me when I see your 3d prints with lots of white cure chunks on it. Could I advise that you completely let the model dry after cleaning before curing it will prevent that which is bad news as those could flake off over time. Another way to prevent that is wipe it off with a paper towel or my favorite blue shop towels before the curing begins. Love your work overall just kills me to see that oversight.
I use LAs Totally Awesome for post-cure cleaning like Casey, and when that dries it leaves a white residue. So I'm wondering if that's what's going on here rather than cure residue. Either way, an extra rinse should fix it.
I was the person bidding on this before you! I’m so glad someone fixed it up!
Lol, I had been watching it but decided not to bid due to the haunting remark in the description. Gotta keep those dice rolls safe from the luck gods.

My favorite video you have ever done. I cant believe what you accomplished here. It inspires me to get off my butt and paint.
Really great rescue. I think the white panels could've used some more love but overall looks really good. Huge difference.
Man, you are super talented dude, great work!
Damn you, lol
I've got a Eldar army completely primed and base coated in a dark red metalic(Turbo dork Red Rum) that I'm now thinking about stripping and going Biel Tan
haha, that's pretty funny because I almost went turbo dork red rum! Over a silver undercoat it looks so good!
That sword paint job is amazing
As a fellow eBay vulture, a chunk of my minis I have are eBay and bone yard rescues.
My Ghazkull, Yarrick, stormraven, shadowsword, armorcast warhound and reaver to name a few.
The finch at the end made me laugh
Love it, it's given me some really good ideas for finishing off my Ynnari/Ulthwe army
@@CoolTrainerJulio maybe its the product but often I see that as curing too soon after wash and having solvent with resin in it still on the model.
15:00 woah what brush are those white things
That ce out absolutely gorgeous!
oh hey! a java finch, he seems very handsome :3
This thing is amazing! I can't even tell that there's any defects!
Rad work! Thank you for all of your content. Really inspirational and motivating 🧙♂️🤙
