Clearly this is a World Eaters War dog, and since they follow the Chaos God of War, this should be called a "Khorne Dog".
You've won the day.
completely agree, and the color pallet should be the like... with a myriad of condiments of course...
I second this. The khorne dawg, with a mix of red and yellows and browns.
And since Jon called it a her, that could make this Khorne’s Hellbitch.
But I feel like we should really lean toward the yellow rather than red…since red’s easy and yellow, well, is befitting the Ninja.
ua-cam.com/video/TcePkwagNFA/v-deo.html
GW: hey dude, Here's a free box set
Ninjon: Thanks, I'll tell everyone the models look like ostriches
GW: Cool thx
Not just ostriches, DERPY ostriches!
Jon got free stuff from GW AND then goes on to insult it AND kitbash it with a competitor who makes royalty free copies of GW properties 😂😭 like Jon really dgaf
@@BulkBrogan. and then gives it a long neck to make it look like an ostrich again lol
The long neck reminds me of a vulture so I think “Carrion Eater” is an awesome name. Color scheme dark bronze trim & red and white armor panels.
"carrrion Eater the heart lus
1:24
This kit seems birdlike, not good enough
This other kit has the same problem in a different spot, not good enough. Guess I'll make my own: 'proceeds to make a giant bird neck'
I like the name Scylla. The extended neck and the fact that in the myth states that she was the one picking off entire ships of sailors I think fits for it's purpose too.
I feel like this wardog would have a wonderful name of “Stacy”, they strike me as a Stacy.
Paint it in your nightlords scheme so you can use it
Stacy's mom has got it going on?
😂 Genius!!
Looks like "Lieutenant Butterscotch" to me. Even after his/her conversion to the gods of chaos he/she chose to keep her original name to strike fear into the hearts of all.
I was literally thinking Butterscotch too, no idea why.
Is that a character from something, a innuendo to something or is the name just some generic filler name for idiots in the military? I've heard it before but I can't remember where and since I'm not a native speaker I guess I'm missing some background information xD
Ive always thought “Erebus” would be an intriguing name for a knight, just haven’t had the chance to use it myself
I just HATE Erebus, But I can see it being a good Word Bearers name.
@@dkakito It.... Is a Word Bearer name.... One of the two who pretty much cooked up the Horus Heresy.
@@chaosgrunt9554that's the joke
Those are epic toesies!
Since you said the models looked like ostriches, how about painting and / or naming her cassowary?
Name: The Ruin of Miniac
Color Scheme: House Korvax from the codex.
Finally found the time to dedicate to watching this video and boy was it worth the wait. This model turned out so incredible I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that looks like a legit GW model. The pose is my favorite aspect, it is so dynamic and alive. Amazing work Jon, absolutely.
This is an amazing kit bash. It really feels like she is going to walk off the table with the pose you chose to go with. Awesome job Jon like normal!!! Keep up the amazing videos my dude!
Featháne, Seer Dog of Tzeentch. The serpentine head just reminds me of Tzeentch, and the dynamic posing could be used as a showing of change. Beyond that, the Purpleish blue looks nice, maybe painted in a similar style to the Thousand Sons?
Color scheme: Something that fits with your night lords would be nice.
Name: Billy
Short for Billiard
I really enjoy your whole attitude while shooting the video. Te sarcasm amd comments and the intro skit. Pure gold.
“Jimmy”, this mighty knight shall be named “Jimmy”
Great vid! Yes, whenever I make GS tenticles, or just do GS work I take the leftover and make pipes/tentacles with it, or press into rivet/badge molds, waste not want not! Love how that thing came out.
I say go with the Night Lords scheme, lightning bolts would look amazing on it.
Plus, that way he can be their little pet; Max, the decadent
Chaos is all about maximum conversion, lovely work Jon! very inspiring
Using green stuff without excerssive amounts of water like a mad man. Glad the scultpting worked out in the end :D
"Intolerant Hatred" or "Harbinger of Hate" painted in the color scheme of The Sons of Malice, quartered black and white with silver and black trim
Grimdark name: Vastator, Herald of Destruction
Colour scheme: Armour that was once white and blue, now scarred, exposed metal and rust covering each plate, the symbols of the renegade faction that commands it adorning its pauldrons.
Fun name: Clive
You beat me to the name! Though I was thinking Vastator Invictus, though that vibes closer to what a larger titan would be named.
Clive is a very good name (:
That beast would look amazing painted up in the same scheme as your Nightlords!
When kitbashing I have always found magnets are your best friend for a multitude of weapon choices.
I've been kitbashing as long as i've be Wargaming (about 19years) and this looks awesome
Cambria, Harbinger of Ending. Id love to see this in a heavily grimed grey and dark green, with lots copper and dark silver. and rust EVERYWHERE
So, as much as I want to say Samantha, so that Olaf can finally meet a Samantha, I think Griblies is the right name. As for colors, I think the sort of video game flammable liquid pool, like shimmering purple, orange, and yellow, very slick and wet and vibrant, would look real cool.
I concur with Griblies
Awesome to see more folks doing something with Chaos Knights. Been doing Chaos knight stuff now for a few weeks and love fiddling with them, be it a kitbash or the regular new boys.
those articulating arm joints on knights can be made more poseable by putting poster tack inside them. It will make them stiff to move, but they will stay in place once moved. Alternatively, let a wash paint flow in there and it will stiffen up pretty good, but still allow you to break the paint bond to re-pose it. That wash paint will keep the joint gritty enough to hold poses.
I would love to see a dark blue colour theme like the nightlords but with an orkish- yellow spot colour. As for the name, I propose Gorthag to support the afore mentioned ork yellow theme.
i'd love to see this bad girl painted up in the colour scheme of the Red Corsairs; bright red and black, with dark metal trims! :)
"It's a me!" was unexpectedly hilarious.
jennifer the death chicken, and with the pre heresy world eaters blue and white scheme, honestly one of my favourite schemes in the hobby
I like the name “Vainglory” it displays the imperial knights pride and inner insecurity. The chaos knight uses itself as an icon, showing the horror and power of chaos. Tempting and corrupting all thoughts in its wake.
He should be painted in the scheme of house Devine, the First ever knights to fall to heresy, and patron knights of slaanesh.
I cannot be the only that the sketch at the beginning of the video gave anxiety to.
This whole build is impressive, but the neck must be my favourite part. Super cool!
Amazing conversion John, well done 👏
Looks like a Nurgle war dog to me. How about something female. Maybe "The Blight maiden", "Rot maiden", "blight princess" (princess might be too many syllables
The prinCESS pit
Name her Schmoopy Poo.
With all the corrosion and corruption texture, the neck that could easily be intestines, and a general “I just took a poo on your bed sheets, who wants to fight me about it. “, kind of attitude, I think some natural browns and greens would make for a nice base color scheme. As I mentioned, intestine red with a nice “wet” look for the neck and such. And to top off the color selections, some OSL in pink or green I think would work nicely for glowing eyes, guns and whatever other lights you deem worthy.
Thank you for your consideration.
I totally feel the band-aid after kitbashing and cutting up some plastic.
Naming for the war dog should definitely be "Sir Derrell"! Amazing Kitbash! Two thumbs up!
love the pose of the model! And of course the name should be Mr Fluffels, to instill fear in the enemies hearts.
I've collected and painted Necrons, Guard, Space Marines and Nurgle stuff and I think Chaos is the most fun to work with like this. The potential for conversions is off the charts.
I love that neck! What a brilliant look, very odd and very alien. Fantastic work!!
Has Tzeentch greater demon vibes and being the god of lies I definitely think “Peace Cat” is the vibe
Purple-blue for armour plates
Beak-coloured skull
Pipes as the red highlights (like veins)
The Revenant, before the Horus heresy this war dog was a brutal and reviled armiger freeblade, who fought alongside the world eaters in their constant warring to the extent that other knightly houses refused to work with it in the great crusade. When Karne the betrayer fragmented the word bearers legion, the Revenant embraced a demon, empowered by the fresh blood on the snow around him. He ascended, becoming a amalgamation between man and machine.
Maybe a black legion type-ish scheme
So Black, Gold and Red as the basic colors. Then mix some bronze and steel in as maybe trim or some other wires of sort? Oh and before I go. Mix in a color of your choice that shouldn't fit in and try to make it fit in some how?
Keep slaying the grey my dude!!
That thing is dope!! Fantastic work! Thank you sir!
I like how this model looks like its a hybrid of machine and living organism. It's a perfect representation for chaos
This good boy obviously needs to be named Baxter the Badass.
Also this thing is awesome, it looks like if a Servitor skull went rogue and got it's hands (claws?) on some SERIOUS upgrades!
Ok, the solution for the head was absolutely genius
I mean... You already came with the perfect name. "Derpy Ostrich" sounds badass to me. 😂
@7:03 awe man, bringing back the child hood with the TMNT action figures, i had that krang dude. sold him at a store last year.
I think a WH 30k World Eaters scheme would be a great fit. White and blue armour plates with a bit of rust and grime just look amazing.
"Screach" is a perfect name for this Chaotic Abomination! Love it!
It definitely has vibes of "Bullets don't work, Jon"! Hence, name it Garfield. That would make House Rajha most fitting.
With that snakey head, I say it's called Beetlejuice! Scheme, black, white, some green and yellow. Amazing freaking kitbash.
Bavilot the Pursuer
that leg posing!!!! dang i need those claw bits
and holy crap was not expecting the neck but it looks badass too
I really think that painting models black with silver highlights, and gold on shoulder parts and the like looks really good.
in conversions, the best filler/fast adhesive has got to be UV cure acrylic which you only have to hold in place until you hit it with the UV light.
Great conversion, especially the legs and how you got the movement in them. As for a name Chicken Tendies - Destroyer of mankind.
Fido, Woof of Chaos. Fetcher of souls. Golden retriever of mayhem and madness.
A couple name ideas that I think chaos would rock. My bad if some of the more straight forward ones are already attributed to another unit:
- Harbinger
- Sorrowsworn
- Anathema Prime
- Grave Sower
- Coffin Maw
- Sunderer
- GallowWalker
- EndBringer
- Skullripper Omega
- Nemesis Engine
- Dreadghast Alpha
- Doom Assimilant
- Abhorrent Zero
- Worldquaker
- Artifice Anima
- Black Iron Leviathan
That’s probably enough name suggestions that could double as black metal bands. Really dope kitbash though, love the combining of the two sets. Creature Caster makes amazing stuff.
This beauty is sure to turn (in) a lot of heads, of both fellow hobbyists and victims on the battlefield. I guess you could say, she's gonna be a real Maneater.
You should paint it bronze with black trim, give ‘em a single bright red shoulder pad. And then glowing green eyes and weapons. They’ll look like the Spartans of Hades or something.
I'd call it Collum. That's Latin for "Neck" because of his noodle neck, and also sounds like column implying it's a strong, tall, sturdy beast, the last thing standing amongst the ruins of battle.
Now.. I think we have the obvious naming routine here.
We have a badass, living abomination walking with a head coming out of an impressive maw. This made me think of the Mythical sea Creature Morgawr believed to be in Falmouth bay, Cornwall, UK.
Then to follow this up you can have a big daddy knight named as the Kraken.
You always need to follow a naming scheme with continuation haha! This would be a Sea/land themed group of which you could have the base painted more of a beach lending to your awesome resin skills for the shore, have the beasts carapace mossy af going into teal/greens/blues contrasting to a rusty dirty brown/orange metals.
Man I wish I had some money to go do this right now. 😭 Either way it's an absolutely cracking job!
That was an awesome job, my man! What a great model! 👍🏻
I love this abomination! I think your attention to the posing really sells this one.
The scariest thing I have encountered as a dog owner was during those first few puppy days when we discovered he had worms. Nothing quite as frightening as little white worms squirming their way through poop that you're picking up. Did a little googling and dogs can also get some nastier things like ringworms which are also known as Ascaris. With the worm-like head of your awesome chaos pupper, I think the name fits pretty well and IMO suits the 40k naming aesthetic.
So my suggestion is: Ascaris
Big “Wolfgang” vibes, and definitely needs some hazard stripes! Maybe the chainsword all in hazard stripes
Name it "Call of the Void" with a paint scheme That makes it look as if the armor plates allowed you glimpses into the warp. Gunmetal trim, with the fangs painted to look like animal fangs sticking out. Blue/Purple/Pink swirls on the armor itself to look like the void, speckled with stars. Main Body is black.
LOVE the model, taps into the spirit and idea of chaos itself. Kaut'rax, Cradler of Damnation, would be a good name... perhaps
I'd say that model deserves a grand name. Tendietron, Destroyer of Worlds
Nauchtshreck, the liberated. Go with a Night lord's playing (blue with lightning) but use a red metallic in place of the Gold accents and a tarnished silver in place of the red wing motif
I think a World eaters white, blue, and gold scheme in a grimdark style would be super fitting. The name should be something that strikes fear in all enemies, I’m thinking “Spooky McWarpface”.
Best I’ve got would just be “Woof.” Because LOOK at it. Woof.
Really though, haven’t had a chance to hobby/sculpt/paint in about 4 months and this video made me miss it soooo much. Keep up the great work
The Desecrator sounds fit for what this thing looks like it's capable of
The Scion of Tainted Tendies. Painted like rotting tendies. 'Nuff said.
I think this is the fabled WarDog Morblius of the Death Guard. Mortarian's very own personal goodest girl. Named for Mortarian's famed catchphrase, "It's Morting time"
Night Haunter’s Revenge sounds like a good name to me if you have it match your Night Lords army. The model looks like it would work with them as they scavenge around and gather goods and materials from their pirating raids.
cant wait for the paint job!
Mindhunter sounds like a good name to me. She looks like she hunts down people to take their skulls and brains.
Color scheme? I wanna see an Alpha Legion war dog. We don't normally see these things, so it'd be terrifying to see it on the battlefield.
NIGHTGAUNT - it is has to go in your Night Lords army!
"The Chicken Tendog"
Rusty orange to brownish alien mars type color scheme.
Lessgooo make that thing look like a tendy dipped in gravyyy jonn
I love the videos! Always a fast click from me when a new video pops up. Could you do a video on 3d printing? Preferably one for new people getting into 3d printing, starting from buying the printer to the first model ready to paint
Graklict the War Eater. Paint it like a dread blade. Maybe like darker colors with really bright colors just randomly in warp corrupted parts
"Doggy McWardog" and I reckon any combination of dirty metal and dried blood would look awesome 👌
The extra detail in the resin kit and the slithering neck give me Slaanesh vibes for sure. Like ah... Kalathraxia, The Pain Gorger.
Peanut the lone wolf from the acid desert. Once black with steel rims. Now covered with acid splashes. Bleaching the black to white and makeing the steel rust.
I'd name him/it Scurvox. First thing that popped into my head when I saw it. Awesome kitbash, can't wait for it to be painted!
"Henrietticus, the Soul Swallower"
The long goosy neck reminds me of the deadite, Henrietta, from Evil Dead II. In the movie she says, "I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!" like a hundred times, so it seems like an easy title lol.
Maybe go with a Word Bearers paint scheme as those dudes probably have the Necronomicon lying around somewhere and could have used it to possess this machine.
That model looks beast, you did a great job with it. I don't have a specific color scheme in mind, but from the metal as hell look of this thing, I would recommend taking inspiration from Iron Maiden album covers. They have cool looking undead guys, and very chaos looking color palettes. As for a name, I put forth: Sammeal of Nod, Crusher of the Light.
As always, thanks for another great video.
those creature caster models look like my warhound. thanks for putting them in this video.
Skippy the War Dog! With all those tentacles, I would go for an Emperor's Children colour scheme.
Maybe this should be called a "Fueled by Nightmares" (because this Knight is really scary and twisted and can inspire nightmares, when stalk his prey on the battlefield). And about color scheme - maybe some Night Lords - related? All this dark blue armor plates witn lightning-like highlights, and some brasen and golden and crimson details - i think it would be impressive.
For name and color scheme: I think that Fallen World might be a neat, non-traditional name that sounds both sort of knightly and reasonably renegade-esque. For a color scheme, I’d love to see a gritty, grimy monochromatic scheme. Mostly white with black paneled heraldry.
With all those tentacles and the stretchy neck, I'm throwing Noodles out for the name. Who doesn't love some hot corrupted Noods?!
3:28 “Position and pose starts by fanning your toes and placing your left foot right."
That green stuff neck is badass!
The first 25 seconds made the thumbs up. The build made me a subscriber. The shoulder gun pic made me lmao.
