Thanks for watching the video guys, I’m enjoying the tighter steering and decreased noise I’m getting from that side. I may have the bracket welded to the frame in the future to see if that eliminates the remaining noises. Let me know what brace you guys are running in the comments below 👇
I just put the steer smart on my Gladiator, it's soon to get 37's. I ve had a shake in my steering wheel on one rd that comes and goes with air pressure, first drive today with bracket on and shake is gone, all else is tight and have a big ass terra flex trackbar and 2.5 lift with all the drop brackets.
I don’t recall if the Metalcloak one was out then, I’m still really happy with the switch to the Steer Smarts version. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
You're saying install this YETI XD™ JL/JT SECTOR SHAFT BRACE WITH FRAME SIDE TRACK BAR REINFORCEMENT BRACKET and don't have to take out tire to install this product and is there a room to this job without taking out tire and still use same tools?
Yeah, if you turned your wheel full driver you would have the room needed. But it does make it easier with the tire off and the extra room to work. It’s a pretty easy install, let me know if you have any more questions and thanks for watching the video Jay!
@@jayhernandez6812 it depends if you’re Jeep shifted at all while installing the bracket. It probably will but if you’re working by yourself just turn the wheel a little bit at a time and it will line back up just fine.
New to this but whats the main reason to do this? To tighten up the steering wander and provide more support overall to the steering box? Is that mostly when U move to bigger tires or even with stock setup?
A lot of these Jeeps come with pretty sloppy steering from the Factory on Factory tires. It made a huge difference on mine when I added this, it also supports the steering box sector shaft. When you start offloading this is definitely a great mod for these Jeeps. Thanks for watching the video!
I didn’t experienced any issues with it, they do have two different models of that kit. I believe I got the one for a Rubicon that had some more clearance. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
@@derekdean2614 where is it hitting? Is it something you can grind down and make work? If not, I’m sure the Steer Smarts track bar will fit no problem.
It did decrease the noise a lot, I’m still getting the popping noise occasionally but it’s quieter and less frequent. I may weld it to the frame in the future, thanks for watching Jack!
I know it’s a late comment, I recently had issues with my synergy brace again. I’ve taken it off and looking at installing the SS brace. Especially now I’m running 37x13.50 Falken RT01s
Yeah, I noticed a significant decrease in noise making the same swap. I’m still happy with my decision and wish I did it sooner! Thanks for watching the video!
You could use a big ratchet strap from the frame to the axle but it’s really not that necessary. Just make sure you take that pitman arm nut off and put the new nut on first.

And changing your mind over the original install, did you ever consider the metalcloak selector shaft brace?

Do i need to 1 bolt to take out for sway bar and move it up for room?
@@jayhernandez6812 yeah, I have quick disconnects but if you don’t you will have to unbolt it and move it up out of the way.
When you put back the trackbar is it line up on spot, don't need to turn wheels so will reach the hole?

I noticed you have the metalcloak trackbar any issues with it contacting the steer smart it says on website some issues with trackbars

I have exactly the same problem, I'm the same as you, thanks
No problem, let me know if you have any questions. How do you like your 40’s?
Is there a nut bolt behind the short 4 bolts, or no?
If you’re talking about the 4 steering box bolts, there is no nuts. They just bolt into the box itself.
What track bar do you have an did you have any clearance issues with it
I have a Metalcloak track bar, haven’t had any issues with this combo so far. Hope this helps, thanks for watching the video Derek!
I have a jk and I’m having fitment issues with track bar
