  • Does your Jeep JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator wander all over the road and have excessive play in the steering wheel? If so this is the fix for you. This 2 in 1 Track Bar and Sector Shaft brace from ‪@synergymfg‬ This is the ULTIMATE and hands down go to steering fix for your Jeep JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator. They even make a version for the JK and JKU Wrangler! Jeep might not ever issue a steering recall so this might be the only solution.
This bracket/brace is designed to better distribute the increased load the frame side track bar bracket encounters on a lifted Jeep and supports the steering box sector shaft from excessive deflection. A track bar bracket or steering box failure is a quick way to end your day. A lift and large tires can easily push these components past their capacity. Reinforce your front frame side track bar bracket and sector shaft with Synergy's Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace.

I ordered the synergy brace and drag link and track bar at the same time and the track bar and drag link are on back order but the brace showed up. I installed it and am blown away with how effective it is. It has resolved all my steering issues and death wobble. it's nice to be able to drive straight down the highway now. Since the day I drove my JL off the lot the steering has been terrible.

Great video. I'm a new first time Wrangler owner. I've had my 2020 JL for two weeks now. I test drove 4 of them before ending up with the one I now own. The first Sport S I drove was work to drive. It didn''t wander, it hunted! The steering was very loose. The next one was a little better. Then I drove a red Willys. The steering was much improved over the 1st two. Time I got back from the test drive another customer had closed the deal on it. However the dealer got me a Willys in billet silver with much better options 3 day's later. Of all the JL's I drove, mine has the best steering. Not perfect! But much much better. You would think Jeep/Chrysler would take care of the loose steering issue so the customer does not have to look into a mod to improve the steering. Other than that, I'm loving my Wrangler! Thanks for making this video.

A guty talked about how there is a gear slop adjustment on steering unit & u want 6mm kind of same thing in the rear gears 6 thousands. The new steering boxes from jeep r going to b heavier like Ram steering unit that is able to drop n up grade & is 30% bigger. The older boxes were light aluminum & movement in the bolts on in side was also contributing factor. So new steering box adjusted tighter in spec, the synergy bracket, track bar flip on top instead of bottom. Min 2.5" bar solid not hollow like stock, & most of all the angle of drag link has to perfectly match the other control arm angle. Aligned & tight working replaceable better stronger ball joints that don't wear slam out in 30k +miles.

I have a new 2020 JL for just a month now. Love it except for the steering. I'm new in the Jeep world but have learned a lot about the wrangler in a short period of time. The wrangler I ended up buying was the 4th one I drove at the dealership, Mine which has the Willys package had the best steering of them all. Not perfect by any means! The 1st Wrangler I drove was like trying to land a Cessna 150 in 20 knot quartering crosswind!!! The others were better but not as good as the Willys. I mentioned it to the sales person and his reply was well you know it's an off road vehicle and does not handle like your Telluride. I thought no crap Sherlock! I will definitely will be getting the Syneregy mod soon. In fact I take it in for the 1000 mile service tomorrow. Actually at the 700 mile mark I noticed the my steering wheel is canted to the left about a quarter inch while tracking straight. It pisses me off that as much as you pay for a new Jeep we should not have to buy a kit to fix what Jeep/Chrysler should be resolving at the assembly level.

    • @jrig92

Jay Hernandez you can torque that bolt without the wheel because the weight of the jeep is on the axle. If the axle was drooping as if it’s on the hoist, then it would cause the trackbar bushing to bind once the jeep is back on the ground.

Just bought a 2015 Jeep Rubicon 2015 Hard Rock unlimited back in June, my first Jeep.... its been a money pit Lemon the last 3 months, with tons of problems, seams on panels have rust bubbles showing, I even had undercoat done with oil/wax by MA undercoating near Worcester MA.. now need to go to body shop for only an 8 year old vehicle... I even see this rust on newer JL's... due to New England road salt coming, don't want it rusting like Escape... Nowhere to off road either where I live, all the places are closed up. I so want to go back to my old 2005 Ford Escape Limited, but that frame rotted out the last 18 years I had it, so was in in hurry for trade, nobody would buy it. I am so em-barest about this money pit, when the other jeep drivers wave to me, I don't even waive back because this vehicle sucks and is stuck in 1941 with its tech... want to get rid of this by next summer for a Mercedes SUV.. maybe GLE350.

Do not buy this. I received mine and where the tapered screw is to go they discontinued it because they found it was shearing off. Well no doubt because the holes in the bracket are way larger than the 3/8 bolts they give you. The tapered side would work ok if the other side wasn’t bigger. It creates a hinge effect and shears the tapered one off. All because you can only torque to 30 lbs. so think this out. They send it out now with 2 3/8 bolts in a way larger hole. What do you think will happen. The whole idea is to have no movement!!!!! That’s why we buy it. I tried explaining this to them. And all he could say is that’s why we use lock-tight. Wtf? Ok lock tight holds a bolt in a larger hole???? Inferior engineering
