Home Blown Glass Studio Walk Through

- Today we got a different style video to switch things up a bit. We were invited by the owner of Home Blown Glass, Freddy to check out his shop.
He's been in business for over 20 years and the quality coming out of this studio shows it. Starts in the office and ends up by all of the glass blowers. Talks about how everything is made and what type of pieces his place makes.
Overall it was a great time and Freddy himself is an awesome person! Looking forward to coming back and documenting some of the color pulls. Or even how to make a glass bowl. ;)
As always, we want to hear from you guys! What more can we show and what questions can we ask on the daily sesh?
Thanks for all of the love and support!

Freddy is like an awesome mad scientist! More of this!!!
Thanks Spenser!
Definitely intersting in seeing the color pull! Also, what the other guys do!
We met Freddy at a Champs trade show and he’s an absolutely amazing person. His products have done very well in our shop so far! Great video.
I looooove my Road Runner(s)!! Pocket dabs! I have small ones and larger ones, always keep one in my hiking/riding bag. Such a great design
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen on UA-cam and I’ve watched like a million hours of UA-cam in my lifetime
Met Freddy at CHAMPS this year and can't wait to carry his stuff. Freddy was an absolute blast to talk to as well!! I
Great in depth video!! We love Freddy, he's the best!!!
Thanks! Would love to do a video of your place when I make it out that way!
HERE TO ROCK will have the best life after giving you 👍🏻👍🏻
Freddy has always been such a cool talented dude, love his work.
Fred is awesome loved watching this video great job on the editing the blue bowls had me rolling great job fellas
I liked that they had khruangbin playing in the background
Awesome video as always man!
this would be a dream for me to work a shop like this with a bunch of similar dudes. nobody would let me catch a gather with some scrap on their torch without trying to get me to pay 800 for a few hours of lessons. so i went out a threw down the bread for my own set up. i was able to torch it up for a month or so just getting the feel of it but then i had to get back on the grind and stack up some more bread for my next go. id love to have the opportunity to do this hourly and make sure i dont pick up sloppy habits. probably gonna hit up a studio near me so i dont have to freeze doing manual labor this winter. thanks for the upload dude, your videos are apart of what inspire me to push towards my dreams. thank you
A lot of the people in town have recommended classes at college. See if you can go that route! Your still super young, stay motivated and dedicated. You'll make those dreams happen!
Road runners are great for flavors and dabbing on the go
This seems like a super chill awesome guy to work for
What an awesome video
Great vid man, I’m really into glass blowing yet I’ve never tried it myself. Keep up the good content
Thanks! It seems people recommend taking classes. Try to find something local to you and make the jump! You'll have a ton of fun!
Man you need go to zong and blue dot and grafix in Phoenix Az that guys are classics for long time and do super quality glass
Awesome video

@@TheDailySesh sweet! I'm working for Boredpanda and I'm constantly in search of quality videos of the satisfying making of video. Will definetely follow your channel

Freddy is one of the koolest kats you'll ever meet, he's built a great business and crew. #homeblownglassrules
Thats sorcery
OSHA would have a field day here.
AMERICAN MADE!!!! Damn good run down on capitalism too.
You should do a video with my baby gurl Smiffglass 😯❤️🔥
Hey dude why did you stop making vids? Just found you today!! Loving these vids..
That fucking snack stash on top of all those plastic drawers is epic. Cheeze-its peppered all over the shop. Can i have a job please?
Can we get an HBG donut cube demo!? It’s what we need!!!
This is actually a different HBG. They're "Home Blown Glass" worded out. Haha, Had to google that Donut Cube. Looks sick tho!
I live in Tempe and have been trying to get into a shop even just pushing a broom so I can work my way up. How do I get into a shop? I am close to just buying my own torch and going for it
Start reaching out to all the shops around town and ask to help however you can. You can also take private lessons to see if its really something you'd like to do.
8th Wonders, Chameleon Glass, and Home Blown Glass are probably the 3 main ones. Keep in mind times are tough right now so they're might not be enough work. But if you're willing to do things for free someone out there will take you in!
I love how you can tell they seshed together before they started filming 💀💀
420science club is awesome
Try Greasy Glass for boro
I need some q-tip holders
Ya know what's crazy, I live in New York City, and 99% of our glass shops are nothing but Chinese counterfeit glass with some roor and grav labs peppered around the front row.
can we find any water pipes exc.from the stizl
Wut?
i can do all this work. series of unfortunate events led me to have to sell all my equipment where can i apply and move.... serious
These guys seem like they might like getting stoned. :)
3:40 Has a channel about blowing glass, proceeds to as what a kiln is..... come on dude
Sup Brad! Some people actually don't know what a kiln is. It helps to educate those viewers too.
There are ways to ask/inform without coming off as ignorant though, would you agree?
@@SomethingNeverClever Dude chill out, to be honest you sound rather ignorant. Not everyone knows everything like you big guy.
Well read a fucking book bud, no I just think the guy needed to hear it, it’s an opinion and from someone barely scratching the surface of UA-cam maybe it’s a good reason why
Doctor Faustus great videos on you’re channel btw, just a regular old content king aren’t you
China glass lmfaooooll
Weak troll attempt my dude. Try again plz.
Wow is it really that dangerous to cut and score glass?
Roadrunners should be $15
Czech republic?
Arizona, USA
Simax glass is from the Czech Republic and Schott glass is from Germany.
There are certain things China should not be allowed to manufacture, glass art being one of them!
Home blown glass is garbage. Low quality glass.
What makes you say that?
Bought 3 of the road runners and the tips all broke from regular use in less than 3 months. None of them were dropped, they just cant handle being heated.
Aww man. Sorry to hear that! We've seen one person who had a Roadrunner last for 2 years. But thats a little extreme. They're made out of boro so will eventually weaken over time. As long as their maintained properly we expect about 6 months of use out of them. The biggest tip is to just not over heat them. If your getting it red hot every time thats going to kill the life of a Roadrunner.
They also need a 6 month warranty
@@ericforemansbasement7472 Who offers warranties on glass tho?
