Since we like a lot of the same books, you might love the new book I just finished, Home for Christmas by Courtney Cole. It’s set in Alaska and a woman goes back to 1944 and ends up spending time with her grandmother (and great grandmother). It was fantastic! The author’s note at the end of the book speaks volumes! Can’t recommend it enough! Merry Christmas! 🎄
I've got Last Christmas in Paris on my shelf, too! As soon as I read a book for a friend, I'll be reading it. So excited. I love epistolary novels. I LOVED Christmas by the Book. There's about half a dozen foul words in it or so (truly foul) BUT... the story is so amazing. I'll likely reread it every other year or so. It's wonderful. Think It's a Wonderful Life meets the struggling bookstore of You've Got Mail. I have a bunch of books that I'm reading and I LOVE reading seasonally, but I will also read anything at any time if something grabs me. Basically, fork over the books and I'm happy.
Ooh Holidaze has caught my eye and I’ve never heard of that Christmas Sherlock Holmes one! Sounds like a quick one, easy enough to try. Thank you for these lovely recs! I am definitely a seasonal reader.
Hi! Great video. I read seasonally and love cozy reads. Another really great Christmas vibe book is Baby Is Cold Outside. I laughed and cried with this one. It’s my favorite Christmas read so far! Enjoy your reading!
I read Mr. Dickens and his Carol two years ago and it’s probably my favourite Christmas book. Maybe I’ll have to read it again this year! I also read Comfort and Joy last year and enjoyed it. Thanks for the suggestions! Looking forward to getting cozy and reading a few of these!
These sound great! I added a couple to my Amazon list. I have a couple holiday books but one of them I just DNFd. I think next year I will pick more for my reading style.
I read Comfort & Joy last December. It was a 5 star read for me - I really liked it. I also read In A Holidaze - a 4 star read. I really enjoyed that one too.
So i have read the first two vanderbeeker books and i loved them. But i sometimes felt like i sided with the antagonist especially in the first one? If it hadnt ended happily, i wouldnt have been upset if that makes sense? And some of the stuff they do does go over the line sometimes to the point i almost am rooting against them even if i love them? And i do love them. I just… think they get away with too much.
I am currently reading The Holiday Swap and really enjoying it so far! I can easily see it as a movie. The other book I'm reading is The Line Between by Tosca Lee, and oh my goodness it has grabbed my attention! Have you heard of it?
I tried to get into Comfort & Joy but I had issues with the first chapter and the reason for the divorce. Just didn't want to dwell on the topic so I passed it along. I really want to read Christmas by the Book it sounds good!
I am usually a mood reader, however, I have been creating TBRs based on youtuber's reading challenges and am enjoying that as well. I read In A Holidaze this week. I loved the banter which made me laugh out loud...the plot was fine. 🙂 Fun fact...I also have twins (fraternal boys) and I dislike the twin swap trope. Too much miscommunication and lying for me.
Hi ! I want to share with you about one book: "KAYAN KOLLYN- The spiral of the Ellmott & messenger of the secret." a great fiction of adventure, mystery, ART, an ancient CRAFFARTT, and science. once you read it, you definitely love it, because it speaks about all dimensions of life, without the barrier of the beliefs and social divisions. Love your content! Christmas special book: Kayan Kollyn

Yes! The Vanderbeekers is SO fantastic! I have heard that the series only gets better and better as you read. On our family TBR.

I always have to check myself with "hyped" books, even Christmas one! Sometimes they just aren't my type of books :)
