The monorail line should have a stop next to the main passenger train station. You're almost there with the station in the oil industry area, and connecting to the train station would help with getting people over there from the river bend community.
Came to say this. It's a quick, short, sharp shock to connect the monorail to the train and tram, giving you a really solid transport hub. Add a station near the farm, between oil & ore, and that side is nicely covered.
Where in the old days the only colour you could get was brown. But nowadays they have all flavour of colours why the other day I even saw a mint tea green 🤣😂🤣
Biffa, your videos provide me with such peace and tranquility. I enjoy just listening sometimes to you work on your city while I plug away during the day. Thank you so much for the content you provide and keep up the much appreciated work.
9:51 there's enough space there to make the monorail curves a little bit smoother, so the train won't have to slow down as much at the junction. just saying.... Also at 6:34, why not orient the station to match the line coming in this area? That U there is simply unnecessary. And then at 5:28 you could do the same thing you did in Orky Borky mines by bringing the line off the road an smoothing out that curve. Doing that would also preserve your dedicated turning lanes. Oh and you're so close to the train terminal, why not bring the monorail line right next to it?
"TEAsla Car Facroty" (link to Tesla) and "Lemon Tea Factory" (link to the song Lemon Tree) would be great :D Edit: You could also make a "TEAsla only" residential area with the green cities guideline for electric vehicles.
Don't mean to be rude but do you know any Australians? 'Cause being one it's the first time I've heard that we're supposed to pronounce the te in tesla like tea.
@OutFoxingFoxysOrder Oops almost reported your message by mistake. 😉 Just messing with you guys, in Sweden we pronounce it like this. I-KE-A but we pronounce the letters a bit different, BTW IKEA is an abbreviation for Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd, the name of the man who started it and two small town/municipal that has some relation too him in some way.
31:00 a nice idea there would be to place some rocks on top of that, make it look like they're going straight into the hill. Also suggestion for the next video: oil refinery! it's a huge one and lokks really nice imho :)
Having a cargo train network within the industry area is almost a must, like you said with good public transport and workers in the beginning of the episode, the same thing applies to industry and cargo trains/ships. So having a cargo train terminal per industry area and connecting them is a really good :)
This is my second time asking for a dog park for all the dog owners in the new residential area near the mines. You can even name it Earl Greyhound park! Tea related. Think of all the poor doggos who have nowhere to play 😭 And dog owners who can meet each other in the park, get to know each other and form life long relationships and friendships ❤️ All because of a dog park! No one likes sad dogs, right? And it also upgrades the nearby houses! 😂
6:34 if you reroute the monorail at the edge of the map you can send the line through the same station and extend it to your central station. And why not extend to the car factory on the other side - or even a horse shoe line further extended towards festival area and tram. 34:22 if traffic gets busier this slip lane can give you a serious headache so close to the highway interchange. But maybe a bridge to the car factory would make sense.
Somebody give that guy a ticket for driving his truck on the grass!😠😆 Biffa, can that slip road be connected to the highway? 🤔 It could cut down the truck traffic down. Good video, thanks...
There’s a section of highway coming off the highway into the roundabout near the industrial area/mining park where one road segment is four lanes and all others are three. The inconsistency is driving me nuts right now. Great playthrough!
Lemonade factory name: Easy Teasy Lemon Squeezy Company (if you haven’t heard the phrase easy peasy lemon squeezy) Or: the Rocks and Teas Factory for those who like their tea on the rocks
I think it would be great idea to finnish the monorail line near the tram stop in the industrial area so people would have a better conection to the center of the city
9:40 - when you added the monorail to the road up to the roundabout, you narrowed it to just 1 lane each way. If you don't want that junction to be a 4-way crossroads then why not remove the road, and just put monorail tracks connecting to the station without a road underneath?
If you set warehouses to "zoned" products it will store raw crops, timber,, ore, and oil. Or you can us silos and storage yards from the industries versions.
I tend to just make a central warehouse district. That way you only need 1 large warehouse for all the resources. Put a train/airport cargo hub in it and lots of access to highways then put all the factories that arnt specifically for a single industry close by and it works really well as a large industrial looking area while simplifying the production chain and reducing the amount of scattered warehouses everywhere. It's also a fun traffic challenge
I think you can give those car & lemonade factory their own area of operation. Like place warehouses & factories in a spot. surround them with a fence. differentiate the raw material zone, processing zone & Storage unit. Give that factory an office space to boost their sales. stuffs like that. that would look nice to see I think.
also I just noticed at the end of the video, in your budget there is literally no income for farming industry area.. maybe something to look into. good work biffa
Keywords for Biffa bingo? "Hugo there" (even though we get him less frequently), "Control S", "Rocks!", "Zippedydooda~", "Roundabout" ^^ And PLEASE, avoid 90° T-junctions for monorails, it slows them down so much... You have more than enough space in that roundabout for proper "turning rails".
I've just bought the industries pack after watching this video, I thought it was too confusing before but now I've been watching some of your older videos to learn how it works 🙂
for your consideration, to boost the people in that area, that triangle shaped residential area next to the mining area. make another vaguely triangular shaped area on the other side of the main road. it would all be served by those two monorail stations perhaps with a short bus route that crosses back and forth with stops at the monorail stations?. and i think it could be interesting to see the diamond shaped community.
The lemonade factory could be called Arnold Palmer Tea. If you don't know, he's a famous golfer that created a drink that half ice tea and half lemonade. Perfect for the lemonade factory!
If you click on the cargo rail terminal, choose the "route" view, and then follow the inbound trucks-- and then look at the oil area you should see the trucks dropping at a train terminal nearby. This also works for public transport, it will show you where the passengers come from.
Name for your car factory "brew broom brew" and maybe adding a solo single bus route from your ore industry to that close neighbourhood might help with the workers getting to work.
You like to manage traffic, I think the way the Industries DLC was designed, is to exactly to do that. Some production plants can be installed outside the industry’s zones. So I’m thinking the traffic can be scattered. So you have the traffic for the extraction taking raw materials to the production facilities then, the traffic from the production facilities take the transformed materials to the factories. By decided those on the map you divide or scatter your traffic. This is excellent. I would even go further and disperse my factories throughout my residential areas. I would put the factories close to the highway access but have a regular road from the residential area to the factory. Then I would make a warehouse area with warehouses with factory finished products and have cargo train, cargo hub right ne to to it. So really that Industries DLC is a big traffic management tool.
So your traffic would be a one way line from extraction to the transforming industries that can be put outside the zone, to the factories, to the warehouses that have the finished products like cars and Tea Lemonade, and have a cargo hub near those big warehouses with the finished products. it's all about managing traffic. Also the traffic for the workers by scattering your factories. Keep those factories close to the highways tho so they can receive materials and deliver finish products with the help of warehouses.
could you use the node mods to open the angle of the monorail t-junction so it's not a 90º and it's easier for the train to turn? it just makes me nervous lol
Little known fact, Biffa is one of the most feared debt collectors in the UK. Now semi-retired he enjoys tea, cities skylines and full contact Muay Thai training.
Hello, I think your problem with plastics is not that you are not producing enough but a lack of transport capacity. Having a cargo train terminal in every specialised industrial zone and one close to the unique factories always helps me getting enough resources where they are needed.
Tealives Factory for the Tea factory . For the automobile factory you could go for Master of Planning Automobile because when you have a cup of tea you can plan like Biffa. 😂
I think you should make a "hot shot" or a "whiskey sling" Cargo Train line between your two stations. That will keep the train from going all the way around and really push out some vehicles.
Car Factory Name= The Teasla car Factory!! And The Lemonade factory Name= The Teasla Fuel Factory That way both names link and they are next to each other .... huge fan biffs thanks for the great videos!!
The monorail line should have a stop next to the main passenger train station. You're almost there with the station in the oil industry area, and connecting to the train station would help with getting people over there from the river bend community.
and on the other side right by the car and tea-leaves factory as well
The superfluous train station 😂
Came to say this. It's a quick, short, sharp shock to connect the monorail to the train and tram, giving you a really solid transport hub. Add a station near the farm, between oil & ore, and that side is nicely covered.
Also, extend the monorail to the new industry area

:-)
How about Teasla Motors?

Everyone:2 lane road
Biffa: ALWAYS 2 LANE ASYMMETRICAL ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed :-)
Technically, it's a 3 lane asymmetrical road. Just like a four lane road isn't called a 2 lane bypass.
Car factory Name: "BugatTea Factory"
Car factory name: "Tea-sla car companies ltd."
Bwhahaha nice.
Damn, I also thought about it. Was late tho
beat me to it
Yeah, beat me to it also. Teasla Motors
TeaSla Gigafactory
A lemonade factory with a tea-related name would obviously be "Arnold Palmer" for half-lemonade-half-tea.
Hugo Palmer
Car factory Name: "The Model TEA Factory"
Can I add more than one Thumb up for this name?
@@deadly_dave No, but I gave him for you :-)
Probably a winner here!
Had the same idea with a slight difference: The Fjord Car Factory, model Tea assembly line. Works well with the nautical theme, dont you agree?
@@esIworld Awesome thanks :)
Monorails and Unique Factories. A match made in heaven.
You could extend the monorail to your main train station - that would be a cool public transport decision. It's only one stop away.
For the car factory, call it the "Aston Martean Factory". With a play on the martin for martean :)
For the car factory you could go with the MasseraTea Factory😆😅🤣😂
Lol :-)
Love it. Or model T
Or Teayota?
The Daily word of Biffa
"Asymmetrical road"

You should add a big parking lot near the car factory so it looks like the cars they produced are awaiting shipment.
i like the " ZIP OF TEA LIMONTEA FACTORY "
Neat, great one
Seeing as it's your first Car factory in the city: The 'Ford Model Tea Factory'

The highway intersections by the cargo train thingie don’t have hugo there at the ending

Typical monorail: serves some new developments, only a short line, doesn't connect to other rail transit even when it's just a bit up the road.
