Nice. I've got one of these on its way. Their waxed suede panniers look the business too. Trying hard not to buy one and a rear rack, as I already have the Triumph pannier, ha.
Windshield is great… I have the normal L and not the XL… form over function for me… blocks wind good but there is a slight buffeting, however not too bad… I did have the sticker in the box btw… now on the 1200 Scrambler the windshield works better than on the 900 Scrambler, due to you sitting more in the bike and not on it… love it and better than the OEM but if you need more wind protection grab the XL
Got this for my Trident and cannot figure out how to install it. Unlike the Scrambler there is nothing for it to mount to…I emailed them and they sent the same instructions I got in the box LOL.
Do you know where to buy the rubber grommets? One of them broke when unmounting the windshield (idk why) and I need a new one to mount the windshield back again. Thanks for the video!
what model or description windshield is that ? i like the fact that the wind is deflected over the helmet and the windshield isn’t that tall. good video.
@@ginoasci I don’t have the model number for that screen. I got it from unit garage which is in Italy so it was a bit pricey to get over here. If you go to their website I’m sure it will show you the different options.
Dude it was some cheesy microphone that I bought on Amazon for like five bucks🤣 I don’t even remember when I bought it I’ve had it probably four years. It’s hooked up to my hero four silver. I just ran the wire under my padding and wrapped it around my existing boom mic for my Sena. 😜🇺🇸 Ride safe my brother and enjoy the swag.
Great video. Do you know why Triumph ask that we disconnect the battery when we only move the headlight a bit installing wind screens? I don't think it is really necessary to disconnect the battery during this install, is it? I have the Triumph tall (not really very tall) flyscreen. Going to install the Unit Garage windscreen now. So you didn't install that cable holder thingy or did you? What brand is the cloth tape?
I never disconnected the battery. I’m sure that is done so no shorts occur. Not sure on the tape. I got it off of Amazon. Not the best for weather though. I just used it cuz I had it. I hate regular electrical tape. Friction tape is the best choice. I think it’s advertised as extreme tape. It adheres to itself without sticky adhesives. Hope this helps👍🏻 Ride safe🇺🇸
May be am alone on this but at 6’3 I can never find a windshield that eliminate buffeting on my helmet so I just take the wind in my chest . It’s annoying on long highway stretches but I could not stand the noise and movement of strong wind buffeting
Hey Larry thanks for the vid, I am really digging the Unit Garage accessories. How tall are you? I am 6’2” and I don’t mind the wind on my helmet but would like some chest relief going 70+
The combination of the heat off the pipe and also in extreme riding situations the wind did create problems. The windscreen helped but it didn’t resolve all the wind issues. The Tiger 900 has little to no wind issues👍🏻
could you please tell me if the hardware is the same for all motorcycles and if not how do you order the correct installation hardware for a specific motorcycle?
That screen was hopeless for me. Caused massive buffeting which you can see in this video with the camera shaking. Forunately the blade broke in half when I dropped the bike. So it's not a very flexible or robust material. I've recently fitted a Dart Marlin which, for me, works well and is adjustable on it's mounts for angle. It comes up about 12" from the top of the headlamp shell. I'm 5'10" with average proportions. Another thing to mention is that I saw a video recently where the guy had mounted his GPS on the crossbar of the frame and the frame broke. Unit Garage told him that he shouldn't have mounted the GPS there. So they didn't honour the warranty. Not good.
I never had my bike long enough to really test it but it was minimally helpful overtime. But I never did dirt test it. Sorry to hear you had problems with yours I think with the scrambler inherently you’re going to struggle with wind as the bike wasn’t designed for a fairing in mind. That was one of the reasons I switched from the scrambler to the Tiger 900 because I was planning on doing long distances.
If you’re a fan of the Triumph Scrambler, read Forgotten Road by Randall Arthur. The whole last half of the book highlights the Scrambler with numerous on-road adventures. The book is a work of fiction, but supposedly the adventures in the book are all based on Arthur’s real-life experiences. Randall Arthur is the author of the bestselling novel Wisdom Hunter. On a side note, Forgotten Road is a faith-based novel.

Those wax suede panniers are really nice looking
Well, this video confirms two things: first, I'm buying one of these screens. And second, I absolutely despise helmet-mounted camera footage. Jeezus!!
Sorry to disappoint you. Jeezus🤣🥺
I think it looks good. It makes the bike look better in my opinion.
I really like it too! Sure helps with the wind.
Loving your Scrambler videos. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for your kind words there will be more to come!

There’s always gonna be a bit of a compromise on something like that👍🏻
thanks for this, I am looking to buy an XC and I am used to a windscreen for wind and rain protection - this could be just what I need
It does help, but it doesn’t solve all the wind issues👍🏻
You are not sitting in a car 😜I have XE 2024

That’s a bummer. Sorry to hear that. You would think that they would be able to take explain it a little more clearly.😂
Hey Larry! Decal looks great. You still have the Suzuki, nice!
Yeah I still have the Burgman I love that bike! Probably won’t ever get rid of it👍🏻
Love mine too.

Thanks for the video!
I would say you would have to hit up the company. I communicated with him through emails. I know they’re in Italy so it’s a bit challenging.
Been looking at the same windscreen for my scrambler. Used PlastiDip on the inside of my last windscreen and the stuff works great. Great review.
The plasti-dip is a great idea! I wish I would’ve thought of that it would’ve been a lot easier.🤣

It becomes very challenging and fatiguing on long rides when you have that going on. Luckily I am a Shorty.🤣

I’m about 5’9” so you may feel it more than me. I does take it off the chest but not so much the arms.
Is that the same shield for the 900?
Not sure on that. I ordered it from Unit Garage and they are based in Italy.
The Wind Buffering on mine is terrible. Fit beautiful looks great. Terrible wind turbulence.
