I have the tall unit Garage. There is some buffeting for me, it isn't bad. I much prefer having the reduced pressure on the chest and a bit of protection. BTW your channel is by far the best for our bikes... thanks for all the info.
Great video! Just finished up a 2,000 mile trip with a very small windshield, and definitely need something larger at highway speeds. But at slower speeds (which are more fun anyway), no problem going naked.
I just ordered the regular size Unit G screen today. I wasn't going for Goldwing like coverage or anything, just seeing what taking the wind off a bit is like. I'd be interested to see how you would mount a phone or anything to the windshield bracket.
Great video. I had looked at these in the past and wasn't sure if it would be as advantageous as I had hoped. Seems like your research paid off. Thanks!
Thanks for the run through. You found a lot more than I have since I have been looking. I am tall as well, and after your review, may start looking up Unit Garage dealers here in the states. cheers
Looks great. My scrambler came with the small clear flyscreen which I changed twice; once to the touring screen which you had, then the tall flyscreen with an additional deflector on top. That was the best but was narrow and I still got wind on my shoulders. The rear bolts were awkward on my first screen too. I got it out from the other side with a bit on a socket extension bar. I later bought long handled t-bar allen and torx tools which were better as they were slimmer to get around the wiring. Bob
Good work Songs. After two years of happy but hard work touring the uk on the xe, I wanted a more comfortable bike to explore Europe on. I bought a R1300GS in March this year (2024) and I must say it’s an immense machine. 9500miles in and recent new boots (Anakee Adventure Roads) it hasn’t missed a beat. I still enjoy a blast on the xe but it’s touring days are over.
I tried 2 different sized marlin dart screens before getting the unit garage. The UG is ideal for touring, combined with my highway pegs on the sw motech bars and a holdall on the rear seat for some back support Scotland to Plymouth overnight in one hit was a breeze.
I have the smoked smaller screen but don’t ride long distance on it. In my opinion it’s the best looking but completely useless for wind protection 😅. Another informative video. I hope you get some time out on the road, this holiday weekend.
I've ridden completely screenless bikes for years and put on average 20k miles per years on them...I'm not gonna deny, there's about 1% of the time when I'm on motorways in the passing rain for hours on end that I wouldn't prefer a screen lol but the other 99% I couldn't stand having one either...it's a big reason why I ride, I want the full experience of mother nature. On a different note, I'm detecting your an engineer, your bike has witnessed marked bolts just like mine lol
Nice video don’t do much motorway travel so I’m ok with triumph small tinted screen but if things change I’ll get that one good to know thanks take care
The police are going to arrest another person who's concerned about how the UK is losing it's sovereignty to you know what! Oh, love the new touring screen!!! Viewing from Aus!
Thanks so much for posting! What’s your feeling on the aesthetics? one of the things I love about the scrambler 1200 is the retro styling. Have you taken the bike off on rough dirt roads? Does the windscreen feel solid with moderate off-road use?
Screen does change the aesthetics and I loved the bike "naked", but it is so much more comfortable for me now on long strips. The screen is solid, even on very rough stuff.
Thanks for the very useful video. Unit Garage is the one!

Good job, Proffessori. One of my pet hates is other people's lack of care, thanks for another great video. P S. Love the logo.

glad to see you looking healthy ,cheers mate

I got the triumph tall touring screen and it cuts the air and leaves my head in clean air. Never tried another.
How tall are you? Is this the XL screen?
I'm 6'1". This is the XL Screen
Fit on 1200 « X » 2024 please ? Thanks. 👌🏻🇧🇪
I believe so, but you could email Unit garage to check.
