I call every time I hear something. I live in the middle of the city. I hear the base, the train and the zoo. I have extremely sensitive ears. If im on my porch I can hear the neighbor across the street talking on their phone and their caller. I near gun shots often. I'm surprised the 911 operators don't recognize my voice 😂. I tell them how close and which direction. I called one night and told them 2 guns went off about 3 to 4 house's down from mine. One was a shotgun and the other a hand gun. I never thought about the friend going so that model girl wouldn't be alone... That's an interesting idea, because you're right, she would be doing the "good friend" thing to do, and it got her killed.
Two excellent points. Thank you. I still wonder why a married girl would be going home with 3 guys. I mean, if that's her marriage, and it works for them, hey, who am I to judge. It sure wouldn't be MY marriage though.

Please ladies of all ages ...DO NOT put yourself in dangerous situations!!! I watch these shows because i like seeing how the crimes are solved. But also to figure out what the victims could have done to avoid dying. I sat on a beach alone in the late afternoon and was approached by a serial killer. Thank God their were a group of elderly gentleman near by that kept staring at Christopher Wilder. I walked past them when i arrived at the beach and they knew I didn't come with him. He kept looking back at them as a stood over me on an empty beach. Those elderly gentleman saved my life that day. The seral killer had killed a girl early in his career on a beach in Australia. I should have never walked to the beach alone and sit in the sand alone on an empty beach. We lived only 4 blocks from the ocean but it was summer late afternoon and the beach was empty. The elderly gentleman were sitting in a picnic area playing backgammon or cards right above the sand close to a small parking area. My point is there are predators out there 24 7 looking for victims. Dont put yourself in a vulnerable position to be their next victim. These type of people are everywhere out hunting. These girls broke every rule of staying safe. I just lucked out that day thanks to those elderly gentleman being there.

Everyone always says “safety in numbers” and while 2 isn’t good odds. At least they didn’t leave eachother. I can’t imagine being that neighbor. Jane Dorotik is likely guilty. If you read the entire case, there was massive amounts of blood under the rug that seeped through to the basement ceiling below the bedroom and the rug in the bedroom had huge bleached areas. Part of Robrerts skull were found stuck to his chest under his t-shirt and there were other indications he was dressed after his death. The marriage was extremely unstable and they had seperated at least twice. I mean, both sons believing her guilty had to give you pause. The prosecution had a strong case but were sloppy with the evidence due to over confidence. This episode only focuses on the things supporting Janes exoneration.

Instead of an uber, why didnt they text a relative and tell them whats going on and ask for help? Why not call 911?

No surprise here, regarding corrupt, nasty police in San Diego. I lived there for several years. There was an inordinate amount of police convicted of se*ual assault, and one tried something with me, but fortunately, my friend worked at the 7-11 I was standing in front of the door area waiting for my taxi to arrive to take me to work. It was about 4:30am, as I had to be at work at 5am, before the buses or commuter trains were running. It was still very dark, and I was alone. He kept trying to get me to go to his car. I had heard about the San Diego police, so, when he threatened to arrest me, I rushed back in the store. My friend asked me what was wrong, I told her, and she very authoritatively ordered the cop to leave her store immediately! She had heard about them, too. I stayed inside the door to wait for my taxi. That was the police M.O.---they would threaten to arrest, or actually arrest a woman alone, then say they will let her go if she does as they say and don't tell, cuz they can find her, having taken down her ID info. I barely escaped, thanks to my bold and brave friend.

I think she did it. There was too much evidence. Plus her sons testified against her, plus those tire tracks. Also there was no emotion when the verdict came down..at least she spent 20 yrs in prison, plus her attorney was willing to pin this on her daughter. And she didnt stand up tir her daughter.

Don't do drugs, don't go with strange men and party recklessly. They did not deserve what happened to them of course. However live well and with more virtue, personal responsibility and they be alive. Tragic. Don't do drugs or be around people who do.

the "don't do drugs and stay away from addicts" thing is really reductive. people don't stop loving their family and friends when they become addicts, nor do disadvantaged young people always have the experience and foresight to avoid addiction when presented the opportunity to escape life for awhile. without a social safety net to catch people falling into addiction, and a prison system hungry for labor, it's not a surprise to me that there's so much of my class of '22 dead and buried or in prison already

I'm glad Christy got to travel the world, sky and scuba dive etc, and enjoy her short time here. She had so much to live for. All the things she got to experience is such a short time, imagine if she was still here with us. She would of achieved so much more imo

I feel sorry for the fiancee... Not only did he lose the girl that took his heart but he also found out that she had no problem using drugs when he was out of town and going home with strange men. This has nothing to do with the case so don't say I'm victim blaming it even if they left alive just saying I felt sorry for the husband to find all that out at once and then for it to be made public.

Christie was described as "there was nothing she wasn't afraid to do." That unfortunate trait was the thing to have led to her death. Too bad she didn't have fear. She sounds like she was manic. Poor lady.
