By God’s grace I survived, hospital would not discharge me until I found an alternate place to live. Consequently, saving my life! My ex-husband was diagnosed as a narcissist sociopath by the domestic violence unit. These people are more than mean or selfish. It's an absolute nightmare being married to one
Dwayne is a hero. He could have just walked away, but he decided to get justice for the man he suspected died at the hands of the woman he was involved with. On top of that, he probably saved many other men from being used and abused.
If there’s one thing I know, is that you’ll always have that gut feeling that there’s something off of that person. The best thing to do when you “get” this feeling and having these lists of red flags, don’t ever brush this feeling off, and get away of that person immediately.
@@mariaimperatricedamore1639 Then it's your mother. I live in a different state than my mother. It's the only thing that gives me peace. Distance. I don't call her unless it's necessary.
This is not simple narcissism. It's malignant narcissism at best or perhaps sheer psychopathy. Obviously can't diagnose, but I am a licensed therapist and have worked with personality disorders over my career. There are notable trait distinctions, but definitely enough overlap to cause confusion at times. Regardless, profound absence of empathy and accountability are at the root.
People think they know narcissists untill you meet a psychopath whose also a narcissist, trust me you won't see it coming 😅 their sole mission is to take you out especially getting you to do it yourself 😅
My mom is fully blown narcissist I disowned her almost 9 years ago. Her lies caught up with her. Can’t literally can’t stop herself from lying and when she’s caught she plays the victim and she then makes up false allegations. Very nasty dangerous people
I'm so sorry that the narcissist in your life is your mama.... I hate that it has to be her.... I hope you are well and happy and strong and kind the exact opposite of what your mama is.... take Care ✌️ & Happy Holidays
The false accusation is a favorite weapon of these dangerous individuals. Be on guard for the false accusation at work and your personal life. Be proactive and take them VERY seriously.
Do you have any tips about how to be “proactive” at work with a narcissist? Would you recommend going straight to senior management with the false accusations, i worry that will make them more vindictive. As you know they appear sooo “believable.” Im a heads down quiet friendly worker … but i seem to have a big target sign on me. How do you win with a narcissist at work? Any tips appreciated 😊
@@Matilda-y yes it will make them vindictive, so you must document every single interaction, keep records of conversations and discussions with the person including dates and times. Find a colleague you trust and report interactions to them. Try not to find yourself alone with the narc, have discussions with another person in the room as a witness. Treat the narc like you believe everything they say, laugh along when they want you to laugh but don’t believe a word out of their mouth. If they don’t see you as a threat, they won’t have any reason to target you. And if you’re smiling back when they speak, they will think you’re one of their adoring fans.. If you can, stay out of their way. Report to senior management when you’re ready and if you need to report bullying. Send an email first so the complaint is in writing but request a formal meeting, take your support person with you.. but you absolutely must have the records to back up your complaints.
This is why I hate it when people throw around the term "narcissist" when someone has done or said something that's simply a bit selfish. They've clearly never dealt with an actual narcissist. As Candace says, they're in a different world to everyone else.
I agree. I was married to one, and when I hear people saying someone is a narc just because they're disagreeing, I be like they have no idea what a true narcissist is.
maybe you are confusing narcissistic personality disorder, with narcissist behavior. ive met some ppl in my day who fit as a solid narcissist type. probably not to the point of it being a mental illness, but close....
@Gizziiusa , a personality disorder is not a mere mental illness. It's not even "just" a mental disorder. Anyone with a personality disorder has no ability for remorse (i.e.: they lack half of that which makes one human. The other half is reason, which they may, or may not, have). They're pretty much an orangutan in a person suit. They're a lot more dangerous than sheeple, who are eligible to vote, if not able to think for themselves. They're able to intelligently plot, but do not give one rat's tail who they hurt or how irreparable the damage is that they do. A type of monster, to be sure.
I dated a narcissist for two and a half years. Pathological liar, manipulative, but a very charming and charismatic guy. It was subtle at first, but he was constantly undermining my self esteem, my relationships, even my job. He kept me down to keep me around. Once I got wise and started asserting myself, his tactics stopped working, until he resorted to physical violence. I left him real quick after that.
It's definitely a pattern of behavior. Narcissists behave in a certain victimized way while they demonize those that are simply trying to love them on a basic level. It's horrible and a mind fu**. Most people on the outside will never recognize it, which alienates the real victim even more.
That's because people tend to listen to the fake ones...people seem to like the fake ones. And to believe a bad rumour faster...it's really a shame...that's why narcissists tend to get away with their dark agenda for long time before they get exposed
I will forever remember the darkness of my father’s eyes when he stared into mine and said viscous evil things to me as a child….the same eyes that told lie after lie…they were the same eyes that shed fake tears. I will never forget his eyes
My fiancés mother and step dad are both narcissist and it was painful to watch him struggle with them until we both went No Contact, they’ve gone on a smear campaign and spread lies about us, but the real ones will know who we are. We are so happy now and feel so free!
I lived with a Narcissist for 8 years and I moved out 10 years ago and I barely made it out with my life and the ptsd is horrible, I don’t date at all and am very uncomfortable just talking to men ❤❤❤❤
Same! I did it 10 long yrs living with him. Been separated for about 8 and he’s remarried with 3 other kids and still harasses me and gets away with it. Currently my car has 3 out of my 4 tires with huge nails hammered into them. He refuses to leave me and my children alone. He got his current wife pregnant while she was still married. When she was like 5 months along her divorce finalized and then married my ex immediately lol she thinks she won a winner. Oh no no sweetie. Your life is now basically over. They never go away or leave you alone. I don’t trust my judgment in men anymore. So I refuse to date one again. I’m just fine being single and alone. I’ve reached out for help and nobody listens. He’s turned my support system against me. I know he’s not gonna stop until I’m dead. His obsession is scary!
I'm sorry you go through that. I go through it sometimes myself. I have to be careful with my current wife not to overreact to something that is not a big deal.
My first husband was a habitual liar. He made up his past and manipulated me into marrying him very quickly. I was beyond blessed to have gotten out of it without bringing a child into that marriage. We called it antisocial behavior or sociopathic behavior back then. Those were the “diagnoses of the decade” back then. I wonder what will the term “narcissistic behavior” will change into in the next 10ish years.
But sociopaths are also narcissistic; it just means they have additional issues, like breaking the law, instability, impulsivity, prone to substance abuse etc. It's a bit like, all psychopaths are narcissistic, but not all narcissists are psychopathic.
Narcissistic self-centered, arrogant thinking and behavior, a lack of empathy and consideration for other people, and an excessive need for admiration. Others often describe people with NPD as cocky, manipulative, selfish, patronizing, and demanding.
Two narc sisters. One is my twin! Its tough to finally go no contact but such a relief. I feel in charge of the abuse i allowed hoping, praying for either/both to recognize the psycopatjy of narcissistic behavior. Much better to walk away. Thankfully I only knew one for around 3 years, I could find her weak spots and was able to manipulate her back. She ended up being the loser, and she never got her 'Tyrone' down in NC he wasn't into her.She wasted least $2000 to travel to him, plus hotel expenses. He was stringing her along with two other chicks in some kind of Polyamorous relationship and she wanted him to herself at the time. She was so ecstatic at actually being present to watch the scene she set up where a guy she didn't care about murdered someone else she also didn't care about all *for her* that she couldn't help but have (in her mind) a little vindictive fun herself
If you're an empath you have to be extra careful. Narcissists behaviors are cunning and evil. There's covert and overt narcissists. My ex is a covert malignant narcissist. Going no contact is the only way to be free of them.

I had someone in my life that would create the most unbelievable stories to cover for them being late, not showing up or if they were in trouble. They could and did convince many that they were telling the truth. The only time people saw through them was if they dared to question or challenge them. They immediately got cut down to size.
Honestly, I find the presenter's face equally as terrifying as the narcissistic murderer in the video. All that botched surgery is seriously scary. Why would somebody do that to their face?!

It’s amazing how many narcissists live amongst us. They don’t have to be people we date or married to, they can be neighbors, co workers, bosses, family members. Dealing with one can be so frustrating. Signs are always there. Usually they’re hated by people around them cause they always want to be in control.
They do, but some of them are so subtle people don't even see it. I didn't see it myself until I'd spent quite a bit of time with the narc. Then when you say no, you get a glimpse of who they really are. But casual onlookers don't get to see that. Sometimes narcs are popular people, or leaders, which is absurd.

There's nothing weak about being kind. In this world, I think it's taking more and more strength to be a kind, loving person anymore. I do agree with you that they seek out the kind and play on their sympathies because of their tender hearts, which is a special kind of evil.

Their narcissistic brain patterns appeared exactly because of their insecurities. They likely felt worthless as children/were abused/neglected during childhood traumas. As human beings we all need to feel some type of self worth to manage to stay alive, thus the narcissistic brain structures of these genetically disordered people kicks in for their survival through traumas. For the human brain, it is always about survival, and that also goes for the dysfunctional ones. I am not excusing anything, merely explaining the science and logic of it all. It makes sense if you really think about it. But they are very harmful people, stay far away from them...
I'm not qualified, but for me, a classic Narcissist has deep down insecurities and that's why they are Pathological liars. They don't think anyone would be interested in them if they told the truth. They're probably right, because they're not nice people and they actually think people believe what they say and if you burst their bubble it's dangerous and they get angry. Sad, sad excuses of human beings. I just wish I'd known this information years ago before the internet
23:55 I just realized this about a childhood friend. I always thought her to be histrionic or borderline but after my last correspondence with her it gave me the clarity to realize she’s a malignant narcissist and we were never friends.
I had a childhood friend like that. She at one point went on full attack mode, because she didn’t like when anyone disagreed with her. I just told her I didn’t kneed anyone like her for a friend. I’ve never looked back.
Thanks for sharing candice. I think we all meet a few pathalogical lairs in our lives but not always noticed. When I was 15 i met a new girl at school and after 1,5 years found out she could only lie. When I was 23 I met a new boyfriend and after 2,5 years i found out everything was a lie in his life. At a party everybody wanted to be around him because he told stories. The thing is mostly i didnt know what he told people as I was talking to other people. Every 5 months he had different friends that was always strange to me. I think they found out or his presence was to much he wanted to eyes on him. After I found out he stole money from me and his stories changed. Sometimes i caught him telling a story to people what was not true. I said that didnt happen that way. And he just walked of and then the person looked akward at me. When I confronted him he said he didnt say anything and I missunderstood it. One day a neighbour asked me if he was okay because he had an horrible accident with his car the day before. I said no in the evening we watched telly and he never mentioned anything. He denied everything. The person lied. Just after this I found out that he stole money from me and broke up because of this. I went investigating after this. On his job nobody ever heared of me and he took collegues on dates. People came up to me and said they saw him with other women and his big stories he told them. Nobody was ever positive about him, even former friends. His family thought we were not serious because thats what he told them and he attended all birthdays of his big family. He told me they didnt celebrate tbeir birthdays. After that i was crying a lot because everything was a lie. He wasnt a teamcoach he was just working there.
Extra note. After that I thought about all the strange things that happened and the awkward moments in the relationship. He always had an answer to everything I questioned.
My ex is the true definition of a narcissist. She did everything to try and destroy me as a person, as a father, and my relationship with my daughters. Even years after I have had absolutely nothing to do with her she still tries to reach out to my current wife.

I fear my dad has married someone with traits of NPD and even psychopathy. 😢 She had been married & divorced twice by age 22. Within 3 years she was married to my dad with no prenup. She got pregnant because he wasn’t moving fast enough. He’s made a lot of bad choices with women and chooses a partner based on level of attractiveness rather than character.

My 50 year old Daughter is a narcissist. When I was in the hospital for a month, mid December to mid January, she came in my apartment, ransacked the place, stole 78K worth of valuables, plus my car which she doesn't need, and my pain meds. She found the key to my safe, found my last Will and Testament she is very upset that she is not in it. I really don't know what to expect of her now. I changed the lock in my door and will not open it if I don't see the person in the peep hole. She has been a nightmare ever since she turned 15 years old.
I met Candice DeLong one time when she came to interview an offender at a prison I was working at. I have to say she was so rude. I was so disappointed bc I was always a fan of her shows. I didn’t ask for a autograph or anything unprofessional like that but she did not want to comply with the prison rules and regulations. She thought she was above us. She had her nose up the entire time and only turned on the charm once the cameras were rolling .. She was so annoyed that we had to search through all the makeup, camera devices, stereo equipment ect they were bringing in bc it was an inconvenience. I’m like ma’am this is a maximum security prison your entering. Technically she shouldn’t have even been allowed to bring in the “free world” as they call it make up but the warden allowed it. Let’s just say after our encounter I had a very different opinion of her. I mean this woman thought she was Angelina Jolie or something.
"A false reality cloaks their conscience." what a great description! they do believe the lies they tell, and live in an alternate reality, which makes them so dangerous

Daniel pelosi was my cell mate. He was protected via his money. He put money in all our accounts & had guards bringing us burgers, chicken & anything he wanted but once he left our wing. They beat him up & linked him. He wanted everyone to think he was part of some mob connections… Lol
But one thing I think he got right when he indicated 'Generosa wanting to kiss him or if not losing his job' That is very plausible. I once saw something like that. A middle age women had a guy fixing her house windows for a few days and she would put herself together even perfume something she would not do when staying at home. The repair man was going to do some work on a regular morning day. She started talking to him offering coffee, juice etc and the poor guy wanted to do his job and she was continuously after him and chit chatting so he started talking about his wife hahahaha well she did not like that but this woman was relentless next time she kept at it to the point of preparing him breakfast and asking him for a hug after he finish his work day. I heard women talking about the type of female, that when she sees a man she wants nothing stops her; well that is exactly what I saw. I later heard the guy in order not to burn bridges with clients has to know how to move around women like the one I mention because if not his business will suffer. The older women was infatuated with him and called him for another repair but he did not show up hahahaha
I had a friend somewhat like that. His lies were outrageous, but not deadly like Danny. It'd amaze me how he believed that anyone was buying what he was saying.
My friend is the biggest narcissist, but she was living with one just like her and almost got killed by the boyfriend. And she hasn’t change. The worst of all is that I help her to get out of the relationship and now she want to manipulate me and my family and she doesn’t like that we don’t buy her excuses and her manipulation. My family knows how to handle her because I just wanted to save her life and that’s it.
Danny was obnoxious. How did he ever get over on anyone? He's like the kid who lies about everything in school. People listen, but then make fun of him when he leaves.
Lol, I just found this channel and was like who stole Agent Delongs voice over, then I realized it's my deadly women girl! Woohoo I'm so excited to watch, since deadly women isn't happening. Well my evening is booked now lol.

Send an email first so the complaint is in writing but request a formal meeting, take your support person with you.. but you absolutely must have the records to back up your complaints.

maybe you are confusing narcissistic personality disorder, with narcissist behavior. ive met some ppl in my day who fit as a solid narcissist type. probably not to the point of it being a mental illness, but close....
@@Gizziiusa I think you need to re-read what I wrote.
Hope u r in a better place now 💜
I went through something similiar. Very smart of you to get away! It takes time to rebuild yourself. But makes you much wiser.
It's definitely a pattern of behavior. Narcissists behave in a certain victimized way while they demonize those that are simply trying to love them on a basic level. It's horrible and a mind fu**. Most people on the outside will never recognize it, which alienates the real victim even more.
Perfect summation!
You really hit the nail on the head....
Very true
That's because people tend to listen to the fake ones...people seem to like the fake ones. And to believe a bad rumour faster...it's really a shame...that's why narcissists tend to get away with their dark agenda for long time before they get exposed

I understand your basic point. Everyone’s a narcissist right now. It’s definitely very faddish at the moment.

Reminds me of my female ex work colleague her lies were unbelievable and terrifying
Candice DeLong is an intelligent woman thats why I like listening to her
I loved the looks she was giving Daniel Pelosi across the table!
I have a daughter that is a narcissist. She is also bipolar. I can’t even have her in my life because she tries to destroy me and my small business. It’s hard to disown your own child.
Danny Pelosi is so funny ! He thinks he’s so clever and believes his ridiculous lies.
Everything about him was nauseating.
@@adrienneadams3009He’s soooo gross!
Excellent incident coverage and analysis here; thank you, Candace Delong.
Danny was obnoxious. How did he ever get over on anyone? He's like the kid who lies about everything in school. People listen, but then make fun of him when he leaves.
Women like this are BECOMING more COMMON
Listening to Brian's cries in the background on that 911 call was gut wrenching..
Lol, I just found this channel and was like who stole Agent Delongs voice over, then I realized it's my deadly women girl! Woohoo I'm so excited to watch, since deadly women isn't happening. Well my evening is booked now lol.
If your living with a narcissist they wil gaslight you. The best way to fight this is to learn about personal autonomy. Know where your limits of responsibiltiy are and what is your personal space. They will try and distort your understanding in these areas. Yep, I have had this experience.
Can you explain a bit more on what that means? The personal autonomy. I’m in it myself now…
I LOVE love love Candice! Her voice is amazing to listen to! Thank you!
Candice DeLong, always awesome!
You rock Dwayne in bringing this abhorrent being to justice. Hope you and your son have found true happiness.
Background check should be done first thing..not after
Except when their background is clean.
1st. You won't know until you get the info.
That's sound advice an all but some records are sealed. Sometimes there are blocks on websites that prevent an individual from obtaining the information. Or like the other commenter said, what if they don't have a record.
You might think of moving on; just move out of town with no forwarding address!
Yes. The program is very exciting. True stories Filled with intrigue and mystery. A sure magnetic draw. However for me Candice's eyes are the true magnetism of this program and why I watch this show. I tune in to watch her eyes. My gosh what I wouldn't give to have her sit across from me at the dinner table and just stare into the beautiful eyes of this woman.. forget about putting any food into my mouth
It's no accident that her men are not exactly GQ. They might have fewer options, and hence they become dependent on her.
Danny is full of it!!😂
