Real percentage...huh, the whole Claster B(including psychos etc) used to be 9%, according to some. To me it was annoying when some rated as 1, or 2%. Narcs are scary, especially when they go into rage mode. If you have no idea what kind of person you're dealing with or don't understand what counts as a healthy relationship, you will feel like you're going crazy and become fearful at the thought of being emotionally attached to anyone ever again. Their manipulating skills are a crime of their own!

    Having been married to a narcissist for 28 years, I can truly appreciate how they can be. He wasn’t a cold blooded killer as seen here. Psychologically, he almost killed me with his manipulative behavior and my non existent self esteem a recipe for disaster. In 2015, he turned my children against me temporarily, which I couldn’t bear, and attempted suicide. By God’s grace I survived, hospital would not discharge me until I found an alternate place to live. Consequently, saving my life! Fast forward 9 years later and a lot of therapy, I am able to watch this. They are very sick individuals who pray on the demise of the people closest to them. I swear, they enjoy it! They seek out people like myself to control. Fast forward…. I am remarried to a man who experienced similar life with his ex. We are thriving, which is the ultimate payback to the Exes. My children forgave me very quickly, and have all been in extensive therapy as he went for them once I was out of the picture. I absolutely love watching a narcissist being held accountable!

      Do you have any tips about how to be “proactive” at work with a narcissist? Would you recommend going straight to senior management with the false accusations, i worry that will make them more vindictive. • @leiakiki
      @leiakiki 5 місяців тому +2

      @@Matilda-y yes it will make them vindictive, so you must document every single interaction, keep records of conversations and discussions with the person including dates and times. Find a colleague you trust and report interactions to them. Try not to find yourself alone with the narc, have discussions with another person in the room as a witness. Treat the narc like you believe everything they say, laugh along when they want you to laugh but don’t believe a word out of their mouth. If they don’t see you as a threat, they won’t have any reason to target you. And if you’re smiling back when they speak, they will think you’re one of their adoring fans.. If you can, stay out of their way. Report to senior management when you’re ready and if you need to report bullying. Send an email first so the complaint is in writing but request a formal meeting, take your support person with you.. but you absolutely must have the records to back up your complaints.

      @Gizziiusa , a personality disorder is not a mere mental illness. It's not even "just" a mental disorder. Anyone with a personality disorder has no ability for remorse (i.e.: they lack half of that which makes one human. The other half is reason, which they may, or may not, have). They're pretty much an orangutan in a person suit. They're a lot more dangerous than sheeple, who are eligible to vote, if not able to think for themselves. They're able to intelligently plot, but do not give one rat's tail who they hurt or how irreparable the damage is that they do. A type of monster, to be sure.

    Thanks for sharing candice. I think we all meet a few pathalogical lairs in our lives but not always noticed. When I was 15 i met a new girl at school and after 1,5 years found out she could only lie. When I was 23 I met a new boyfriend and after 2,5 years i found out everything was a lie in his life. At a party everybody wanted to be around him because he told stories. The thing is mostly i didnt know what he told people as I was talking to other people. Every 5 months he had different friends that was always strange to me. I think they found out or his presence was to much he wanted to eyes on him. After I found out he stole money from me and his stories changed. Sometimes i caught him telling a story to people what was not true. I said that didnt happen that way. And he just walked of and then the person looked akward at me. When I confronted him he said he didnt say anything and I missunderstood it. One day a neighbour asked me if he was okay because he had an horrible accident with his car the day before. I said no in the evening we watched telly and he never mentioned anything. He denied everything. The person lied. Just after this I found out that he stole money from me and broke up because of this. I went investigating after this. On his job nobody ever heared of me and he took collegues on dates. People came up to me and said they saw him with other women and his big stories he told them. Nobody was ever positive about him, even former friends. His family thought we were not serious because thats what he told them and he attended all birthdays of his big family. He told me they didnt celebrate tbeir birthdays. After that i was crying a lot because everything was a lie. He wasnt a teamcoach he was just working there.

    I fear my dad has married someone with traits of NPD and even psychopathy. 😢 She had been married & divorced twice by age 22. Within 3 years she was married to my dad with no prenup. She got pregnant because he wasn’t moving fast enough. He’s made a lot of bad choices with women and chooses a partner based on level of attractiveness rather than character.

    My 50 year old Daughter is a narcissist. When I was in the hospital for a month, mid December to mid January, she came in my apartment, ransacked the place, stole 78K worth of valuables, plus my car which she doesn't need, and my pain meds. She found the key to my safe, found my last Will and Testament she is very upset that she is not in it. I really don't know what to expect of her now. I changed the lock in my door and will not open it if I don't see the person in the peep hole. She has been a nightmare ever since she turned 15 years old.

    I met Candice DeLong one time when she came to interview an offender at a prison I was working at. I have to say she was so rude. I was so disappointed bc I was always a fan of her shows. I didn’t ask for a autograph or anything unprofessional like that but she did not want to comply with the prison rules and regulations. She thought she was above us. She had her nose up the entire time and only turned on the charm once the cameras were rolling ..
    She was so annoyed that we had to search through all the makeup, camera devices, stereo equipment ect they were bringing in bc it was an inconvenience. I’m like ma’am this is a maximum security prison your entering. Technically she shouldn’t have even been allowed to bring in the “free world” as they call it make up but the warden allowed it. Let’s just say after our encounter I had a very different opinion of her. I mean this woman thought she was Angelina Jolie or something.

      But one thing I think he got right when he indicated 'Generosa wanting to kiss him or if not losing his job' That is very plausible. I once saw something like that. A middle age women had a guy fixing her house windows for a few days and she would put herself together even perfume something she would not do when staying at home. The repair man was going to do some work on a regular morning day. She started talking to him offering coffee, juice etc and the poor guy wanted to do his job and she was continuously after him and chit chatting so he started talking about his wife hahahaha well she did not like that but this woman was relentless next time she kept at it to the point of preparing him breakfast and asking him for a hug after he finish his work day. I heard women talking about the type of female, that when she sees a man she wants nothing stops her; well that is exactly what I saw. I later heard the guy in order not to burn bridges with clients has to know how to move around women like the one I mention because if not his business will suffer. The older women was infatuated with him and called him for another repair but he did not show up hahahaha

The worst of all is that I help her to get out of the relationship and now she want to manipulate me and my family and she doesn’t like that we don’t buy her excuses and her manipulation. My family knows how to handle her because I just wanted to save her life and that’s it.

    If your living with a narcissist they wil gaslight you. The best way to fight this is to learn about personal autonomy. Know where your limits of responsibiltiy are and what is your personal space. They will try and distort your understanding in these areas. Yep, I have had this experience.
