Anybody else miss the good old days of the '80s where we'd go to concerts like these, drink beers, rock out and meet gorgeous metal babes. . . all at the same time?
Still happening at every show idk where you been but you need to get back out to the shows, I know a guy q little over 80 named Shiprock Santa who travels all the festivals in America and still crowd surfs and mosh so your never too old
this band is really cool.one time when i was in highschool i wrote to them and they actually took their time to write back to me( btw it was the drummer that wrote back too).they still rock!
I like these late 80's - early 90's bands like Heavens Edge, Slaughter, Warrant, FireHouse, Winger and Lynch Mob. They have the coolest looks. The great metal hair, the rock n roll threads and moves, and tight songs.
I was at the bar when H. E. made there first album, / tape, I don't remember what year. I knew Tim Kelly, (Slaughter), he was a good friend of my cousin, even jammed with him in my cousins living room. My, BRUSH WITH GREATNESS! He really was a great person, besides being a damn good player!
I know what you mean. There are a few bands out in 2020 rockin' the late 80's, early 90's Glam Metal style though. Bands like Love Razer, L.A. Cobra, Keith Kessinger and Chase The Ace. There's a bunch actually.
Man I just found out about this band Last month and picked up the 1st album because of this song and the solo is brutal As all get out these guys were worth more then the 2 records put out
I’ve said this for years now. If GG (rip brother) never got shot and their album would’ve been released when it was planned, then these guys would’ve exploded in the late 80’s early 90’s. Reggie Wu if a freaking virtuoso on the guitar and Dave is a monster on the drums. Mark Evans was a great frontman as well with a great stage presence. It’s just unfortunate events took away their shot. Thanks grunge for screwing good musicians and good bands out of their turn in the spotlight.
Grunge didn't screw anyone. Those guys were doing their own thing hard/rock and heavy metal had thrived for over 20 years by the time this came out. Times changed music changed you can't blame anyone for that.
They screwed themselves, look how ridiculous this shit looks . And I'm class of 1986, I drank more beer back then and listen to more metal while you cried to your mommy. Ronnie James Dio called it out back then, he said glam rock like Poison killed the scene. And grunge cale along because times change & musical tastes change.
I was on the bus trip from the Pennant East bar in New Jersey to NYC for their Showcase in NYC when they were signed to their record deal. It was one of the most fun shows I was ever at. I was and will always be a huge fan. RIP GG and thanks for all the fun times!
Saw these guys at a small club in LA. They were incredible! Also, one of the guitarists had an absolutely priceless 3 stooges axe. Now that my friends is hard to beat!
Is it Cool for me to miss these late 80's/early 90's Hairbands like they were are a part of my past, like the Wingers/Slaughters & Firehouses of the world....even though I didn't even know they existed at the time....and didn't discover them until much/much later....Really....MTV & Much Music should be ashamed...but....thanks to the World Wide Web & UA-cam we can all enjoy the Amazing Stuff!!!! we were never exposed to back in our days.....ROCK ON!! \m/ \m/
Ace song pal. Powerful, catchy, great riffs. These guys sadly missed the hard rock boat though. Should have been huge with their debut album as it's class.
Saw these guys in a club in Cherry Hill New Jersey. They played this song and said they were making an album! It was almost 2 years before hit hit! They almost missed the hair era before they hit it!
Brian Mann thank you Brian, Heavens Edge,Lillian Axe, TNT etc some of the best bands people missed out on. But not me n I’m sure you love them all too!
I was there when they shot the video at the Trocadero in Philly. Also just saw Mark last night, he was sitting in playing bass for my favorite local band (Philly) LeCompt
Is that where they recorded the song for the album? I don't remember them saying anything about a video, but it was a long time ago. I do remember they played the song three times, and said we (the crowd) would be on the album.
Empire rock club in Philly got to see them several times there always a awesome show. Jay Arnold, Gina and Joe Scott, Brian (sorry man about the spelling) Caskie great nights and good times
He was a student of Scott McGill, probably the best guitarist in the world few people know about. And Scott was a student of the great jazzist Dennis Sandole, who was a mentor to none other than John Coltrane.
+Racine Evans Can't Catch Me kicks some serious ass as well !! GREAT CD this, there was so many good bands back then like this that released only 1 or 2 CD's then vanished because of the grunge movement, shame!!
I hear ya man!! But the songs will always be with the true fans who appreciate the tunes of these killer bands. Also the fact, that the "true fans" never gave into the lame chain of trends, always carrying the flag:)
Great video. Great days. The "metal" folder came-up in the car yesterday which of-course has a bunch of HE tunes in it so I figured I'd do a google on you guys. I moved to Hollywood with the old band in '87 and a little girl I met from Long Island who had a thing for drummers turned me on to you guys so I bought the CD and still enjoy it. Even today it's prolly one of the best sounding rock albums ever. Dunno if it's NK to thank for that or what. Damn shame you guys didn't break big. Cheers !
Being influenced by me being a fellow guitarist, my six year old son loves metal guitar. He just told me that he thinks Reggie Wu is the best. Looks like a guitar is in my son's near future. ;)
Yup! Completely splatted by depressives wearing jumpers and polo shirts, with shitty instruments, playing depressing ass music with songs that made you wanna tan your wrists who had no fun and constantly opined things like "we are indie, not sell outs" and general congregated like germs around Seattle. 😷
I remember back in the late '80's Philly,PA area radio station 93.3 WMMR promoted the hell out of these guys.Too bad that they didn't make it big because they were a really good band.
used to cruise the main drag cranking this sweet jam. pulled so much tail to heavens edge. if you can't get to third base playing this for a girl you are doing it wrong son.
Hey Nick, Dave is working for Roadrunner these days. I can remember seeing these guys back at the Trocadero years ago. My brother and I used to work actual jobs with these guys before they got signed.
I used to go see them at the Galaxy , I agree if grunge didnt show up they would have been better and bigger than all of the other bands, Lyrics and music was the BEST,
GODAMMNN !!! they're here !!! fuckyaeh. i still have my METAL EDGE magazine issue 1989 with these guys on one page. saw the video from headbangers ball wid rachtman awhile back maybe 1988 or 89
Their new album is KILLER! Best release of ‘23! Can you believe that?

No, but I remember doing that in the 90s. LoL
this band is really cool.one time when i was in highschool i wrote to them and they actually took their time to write back to me( btw it was the drummer that wrote back too).they still rock!
They have a new album out.
I lived the 80's. Graduated spring 1990. MTV and the radio didn't play these guys. One of my favorite albums now.

they are the bands who made it just under the wire before overrated nirvana came along and ruined everything
this is a awesome band 80's era and 90's its a era gold
the best times till today

How did I not know this band back in the day? They are awesome!!

I hope they caught the shooter. It's almost like the Vince Neil drunk driving incident.

These guys were really good for the era even now actually. Reggie Wu is a very underrated guitar player.
Saw these guys at a small club in LA. They were incredible! Also, one of the guitarists had an absolutely priceless 3 stooges axe. Now that my friends is hard to beat!
