Brilliant Chorus. What I love about the 80's scene was it wasn't just glam or thrash. There were loads of mid range bands that were able to mix heaviness with accessible melodies and choruses.
What used to be called Us metal (american metal bands who didn't play neither glam nor thrash metal, but have a "classic"/"traditional" european heavy/power metal sound to it) is the best type of metal IMHO.

This album and the band for that matter is criminally underrated. A friend of mine Jim Dofka just did the guitar work on the latest album When Angels Kill and it is also fantastic.
This brings back a lot of very, very old memories. I was 13 and an outcast and oppressed. I endured horrible things during my youth and this video was on Headbanger's Ball back in 89 which was my unholy baptism into hard rock or as it was called then Metal. I personally think that hard rock and metal have a lot in common, but Fifth Angel really made me smile with their crossover between hard rock and melodic metal. My best friend at the time was horrified. Everybody went and attacked me for loving them. I had threats against me if I bought their albums. This was what life was like for me then and still is now! I was living with a GF and played this song around the house. I was totally in to the song. She asked me what it meant, and instead of answering what the band said, I said without thinking much, "It's just the way I look at us (our relationship)'. She went and immediately looked at the lyrics. We didn't last of course. But this song was dead on the money about it. I didn't intend to breakup at that point, but obviously there were wheels turning to protect myself. This is why this song means a lot to me. I stood and began to fight for myself.
Wow! What an era of memories. It was a special carefree feeling back then. It also helped us metal heads to have so much talent to be proud of. I am so grateful to be from that time period. Hanging out with friends and listening to great hooks like this. Damn how I miss it.

Yep. He became an endodontist. The band has since reformed with the entire Time Will Tell lineup. They tried to get Ted to rejoin but he didn't think he could get his voice back in shape quickly enough, and he's also doing some kind of contracting with Boeing for something. That guitarist that looks like Yngwie (Kendall Bechtel) is now the lead singer and he is badass. Sounds so much like Dio it isn't funny.
@@corey8711 I'm not buying the not getting the voice back into shape bit. I think the real reason is that he has a thriving practice and just can't put the kind of time necessary for a reunion tour.

Listen closely, it's all around
The way to make it I've always found is to
Turn the thoughts inside
Steal the strength that hides
Follow feelings to make the climb
Intuitions can tow the line, through the
Bars that would not break
To the great escape
All alone in a change, may be a lonely place
Everything is so strange in this race
Time will tell, stand and begin to fight for yourself
Time will tell anyway
Time will tell, only the strong can take it so well
Time will tell anyway
Only time will tell
Take a flame to ignite a try
Indecision won't satisfy, all the
Choices must be made
When your hand is laid
In the end there may be some pain
Before you're back on your feet again, but it
Always comes out right
When you've won your fight
All alone in a change, may be a lonely place
Everything is so strange in this race
Time will tell, stand and begin to fight for yourself
Time will tell anyway
Time will tell, only the strong can take it so well
Time will tell anyway
Time will tell, stand and begin to fight for yourself
Time will tell anyway
Time will tell, only the strong can take it so well
Time will tell anyway
Only time will tell
Only time will tell
Only time will tell
Only time will tell
