Rocked this CD throughout '93, when I was stationed in Korea! Seen them live in '94, when I got stationed in CO. Was able to meet Fred Coury & Donny Syracuse after the show, they were so cool!!
Great band, great song. I miss the vibe and overall attitude all these old school rock bands brought to the table. Mix that with superb musicianship, great song writing and presence onstage, and boy, you were in for a show. Bands back in the day entertained the fuck out of you.
I knew Donny Syracuse when he was in Pink Pantheur with my ex boyfriend, Brain "Rev" O'Neill. Raft was my favorite band, and I was thrilled when he got into Arcade. Great band, great times. I miss the old days
I love how Stephen can handle his limitations, he has a really poor range compared to other singers, but he can write better and more memorable vocal melodies than anyone.

I think it will make a comeback there's a few new bands popping up and most of the forgotten 80's bands are finally starting to get recognized by us 90's kids . We grew up between both era's we had Glam/ Trash & Grunge than the New Era of Grove Metal , Black Metal , Doom Metal, NU Metal , Industrial, Alternative Rock. 80's bands were still around in the 90's and new bands like Nelson, Trixter, Tesla, Testament, Ugly Kid Joe , Freedom Call were forming .
Go look at most of the roster of Frontiers Records. Most are either classic hair metal bands putting out new music or new bands who play classic hair metal. Crazy Lixx, Chez Kane, Girish And The Chronicles, Hell In The Club, Black Swan & Shiraz Lane to name a few "new" bands on their roster. And that is not even including bands like Reckless Love & Crash Diet who are on other labels.

OK, this one took me completely by surprise! Even though I was around and listening to music back then, I wasn't following the details of musicians/singers/labels, so when this video showed up as a recommendation, I had no idea who Arcade was. When I clicked the play button, I turned away to do something else. Great riffage and thunder drums kept me listening with attention. Then came the vocals and I went, "Hmm, sounds like Stephen Pearcy." When I finally turned back to watch I go, "Hmm, that even looks like Stephen Pearcy. Why didn't the band just get Stephen Pearcy?" A minute or so later, I finally realized that is Stephen Pearcy! Doh! Now I have to find this CD. I like what a lot of bands were doing at that time. GnR were teetering on blowing up, but by then a lot of bands took the hint with their raw, full throttle sound. Good example of that is Winger with their Pull album from the same time as this song. Quite a step up for them sound-wise. Damn Yankees is another. Warrant...
I wore out this CD. Such a great line up and great music. Arcade was a great example of how hair bands could have matured beyond glam. The music still has those great riffs but the edges are rough and the songs have a story to tell beyond sex and partying.

In RATT, there's so many vocals/production, I've never been sure what Stephen Pearcy was doing, Shouting? Singing? I could never tell, and as said, there's so many vocals on Ratt albums, everything's so layered, it was hard for me to tell if he was actually good or what was going on. I was surprised!

Definitely one of the best bands from the POST HAIR-METAL, PRE-GRUNGE twilight zone.
Still had the “hair” riffs and attitude, but a bit more raw, and no glam image.

i remember those times...the world was"infested" by Grunge at each cost(this means,that i like grun grunge too,but Americans destroy everything,by turning it into a Big trend9 and bands like this one gave a breath of fresh air to the hard Rock fans...til their second album,where they tried the grungy way too....
Don't be too hard on all of us, my man. I've been ignoring no-talent music since the early 90s. And I live in Washington State where Seattle is located. I'm ashamed, but there are some true hard rock and metal fans that still have not given up the good fight.

don't misunderstand me,dude..i've been growing up with american and english music...but as time went by, i understood a bit of the american industry mechanichs,way different from the european way.... here we still like,promote and adore the big groups..in America all is transformed into a trend,where you then become even too much of something(the hair metal groups became a joke,in the end) and suddenly from somewhere someone will come out with a new idea..and since then this idea will be trasformed into the next big thing, and you ll get too much of it...and the wheel goes round... it's a shame ,that such big acts don't get "any" promotion,and oin mtv you see the same 2/3 trendy groups,period :( you got the biggest artists in the world,and they're destined to disappear in silence...
Yeah, I can see what you mean. When a certain sound makes money for someone, everyone wants a piece of it, I guess. I agree, it is annoying.
exactly,and it generates clones,what in the end is missused from the industry ,until the people have enough of it,and turn their attention to something else...but if the bands would be left doing what they do,you could have Grunge ,hair,pop and rock in the charts,just like in the 70's,and everyone would enjoy,what they Love... nowadays Bands like Poison,Cinderella,Warrant,Furehouse,Kix,Skid Row,hericane Alice,TNT,ecc are still existing and playing,but who sees them? in the TV no Signs......
