So many bands just like Babylon A.D. didn't get the credit they deserve cause of grunge! I still love this music and wouldn't give it up for anything! \m/
Being born in 1970, I was 13 in 1983, up to 19 in 1989, so when I was a teenager, it was the 80's, and I wouldn't trade that for anything in this world!
Can we please have such riffs back again ? This is pure brilliance..... Just eargasmatic...... 80s Metal was, is and will remain the finest music to have ever been created...... \m/
Completely understand. I attended over 200 Rock concerts. Eye thank the infinite multi - Dimensional Universe everyday for having the priceless experiences of growing up in the 1980's. Nature is my church, and Rock N' Roll and Heavy Metal music is my religion !! Thank - You Mother Ayahuasca, infinite Endless Gratitude ! ;- )
Man, when I was growing up, my dad was all about this kind of 80’s - early 90’s rock and on Saturday/Sunday mornings, when we were off from school and work, he would rock the house with songs like this. I grew up listening to Metal Church, Sleaze Beeze, McQueen Street, Asphalt Ballet, Helloween, Bang Tango, Babylon AD, Warrior Soul, Dokken, Fastway, and Bullet Boys...etc. I miss those times back then just enjoying the morning, rocking out, and no care in the world. Man what I would give to go back in time bout 22 years ha. All this great music though is just nostalgic to my childhood and I couldn’t be more grateful!
Ron Freschi was a co worker of mine, he has his own band " Syrym" I know he was taking time off all the time touring europe.. not sure if much traction in the US for good music anymore but, the dude is a awesome guy. * rock on man!

You still had 80's bands performing in the 90's. The Grunge Era didn't kill jack shit it started in 1983 you didn't start seeing Grunge bands fading out until 1995 .
The reason those bands started struggling was because of Doom Metal, Black Metal , Power Metal, Symphonic Metal, Nu Metal. A band like Korn , Sepultara, Cannibal Corpse, the new era of Pantera was changing the music industry in the 90's but most of those late 80's bands carried on until 2000 struggling nobody was listening to Grunge bands at that time . They wanted something like Skinless, Cryptopsy, Limpbiskit, Disturbed, System Of A Down , Drowning Pool, Vader , Night Wish.
This is one badass band!!! I had this tape and I never understood why this wasn’t one of the biggest bands out there. Great choruses, write great songs, great singer with a distinct voice and a tight rocking band.
My main regret in life is that I pursued a career and not my dream of being in a 80's hair band. Yeah, I might have been burnt out by now, but god, it would have been quite the ride! Gotta watch these videos once a week! Keeps me going!
man it's funny I'm 21....I totally wish I grew up in the 80's.......funny thing is when I was in 9th grade me and my friend loved 80's hair metal and I swear best times of my life even though it was 30 years later.....it kills me every time guys talk about how awesome the 80's were well at least I got to take some of it in
BLSMan94 same dude! I was born in 1994 as well. Throughout middle and high school everyone listened to rap, and I'm over here like "screw that! Motley Crue, AC/DC, GnR all the way!!" I'm glad I took a liking to 80's metal, it has shaped me into the person I am today.
I wish I could remember more of the eighties, and in case anyone reads this that knew me then I apologize for the dumb shit......well maybe I do,maybe I dont
This CD never gets old! Never! I got it as part of BMG Music Club...remember them? Thought okay, this could be good...24 freakin' years later it's still one of my favorites!
They were playing in a bar in their hometown in Northern California and l saw them and thought 'Who cares'. That night l won this CD as a door prize. Loved them ever since. They should have been huge.
There are so many unknown bands from this era, hard to pick a "most underrated" These guys were awesome but so was Shotgun Messiah, Tuff, Danger Danger, Roxx Gang, Sleez Beez, Dangerous Toys, Vein just to name a few. Great time to be alive and party but now we are all just old lol.
perfect debut album with songs that will not leave your mind once you gave them a listen - love that band big time, had the luck to see them live in germany at the Bang Your Head Festival not so many years ago - still got headaches from back then - cheers and stay healthy everyone
It goes without saying that this song kicks serious ass.......The disc is one of my top five of of all time. There is not a bad tune on there, and this band is beyond underrated. What a kick ass band.........I would still love to see them live one day.
I completely forgot about these guys. Great stuff. Man I miss the '80's. Sucks getting old. But we still have this stuff to take us back to our misspent youth. Rock On. Bang Go The Bells!!!
Steve Sullivan this type of riff was already exist if you know the band called RIOT, song name is HARD LOVIN MAN, ablum- "restless breed" 1982. RIOT was a head of their time in 70's they already had 80's sound of speed metal
Great band, great album, still listen to it regularly, The Kid Goes Wild from the Robocop 2 movie, was a belter too, from the same album, Sally Danced, Desperate, Shot o love, Hammer Swings Down, Back in Babylon, every track on the album is outstanding
I just did a guitar tutorial of this classic Babylon A.D. song. One of my favorites. Can you believe I was the first one to make a lesson video of this killer tune? WTF?!
I heard this tune for the first time in L.A. circa 1989....it has all the elements of a killer rock tune. Great vocals, crunchy guitar, sweet lead, GREAT drum mix!! I Love this song!!! I have also banged many women's bells while listening to this song...lol

Indeed. Probably the finest music of the era. I don't like labels, but long live the "Hair Metal"... even after the hair's gone. Lol! Damn I miss my mullet and Jackson guitars.
I agree 100%. But even if there were bands like this today they wouldn't be the ones getting airplay on the radio. And I don't think there is anywhere to watch videos anymore.
I was a teen in the late 80s and it was the best time to be a teenager. The hair bands, cruising with the windows down radio blasting, headbanging till you had whiplash. What a time to be alive! I'm just sorry my son and granddaughter didn't get to experience that time. Everything is on camera now and everyone wants to be offended by every little thing now days. You can't have any fun anymore. It all started going down hill with NIRVANA and that grunge crap. Then on top of that Metallica cut their hair and dressed like boy banders. What a disgrace
They put out an album in 2017 called, Revelation Highway. It wasn't bad. As of 2019, "Desperate" is the only song that still gets played on our Classic Rock station. But great memories with this one. Sam Kinison was on the album, too.
Got on as a morning show comedy guy at KBER in SalLake we broke his band in, with Slaughter, Steelheart, Tesla, anWingnut Winger!
