I keep going back to IMA looking at these. From what I can see they are all fairly rough. I purchased 2 MK IV Martini Henrys from them 2 years ago - 1 untouched as this Enfield seems to be and 1 hand select (quite a bit more cost). Turns out (luckily) the untouched was in as good shape as the hand selected one. You takes your chances! I still may try my luck again with one of their 3 Band Enfields. Enjoy your restoration. Wood shrinkage and worm holes are common with their older model rifles. But overall you got a decent example and should clean up ok.
It cleaned up very nice!
