Definitely better than I would have expected. Id get one but I've got a financial issue currently. But I've always liked to get cracked stock rifles from RTI and others. The way I see it (especially for RTI rifles) if the stock is cracked, then you know they didn't stop shooting it because it was shot out. They stopped shooting it because of the stock. So a stock crack (usually) means a better quality bore
Im glad the bore looks decent. Itll clean up and could accraglass that stock up. And ull have a decent mk3 for 200$ plus labor. In your case a dp rifle would be nice for the parts
C grades are 99$ now for the labour day sale, just in case you're interested lol. I bought one that's an A grade for 384 after shipping and hand select fee
@imperialhonorguard1483 I appreciate that, bad thing is I have like 8 or 9 enfields now, it's a good deal, but, and I can't believe I'm saying this, I have too many lol.
Well damn i guess i got really lucky? I just purchased a No4 Mk1 Long Branch built in 1943 with 70% of its finish and really good stock with ,minimal dents&dings and no pressure marks! My local gun store must have bought out someones entire collection of Enfields? They had about 10 of them ,sitting on their counter they havnt even had a chance to inspect and price yet. I have always wanted a No4 ,since eiwas a kid. It only took me 58yrs to finally get one!LOL I feel like a kid with a perfectly functional No4 built basically by Savage! IOts truly a lovely rifle! Now for project guns i will have to go with an Arisaka or Nagant maybe? As i only plan to get a 6 rifle WWII collection. 3 from the allies and 3 from the axis side. I already have a Czech Mauser my grandfather took off a german solder, and purchased a really nice Carcano from RTI But the Enfield right now is my top ranked collector piece! Although i told them at the shop as i put my name on it i just want a shooter and not a wall hanger! Even though i dont care as much about the historical part of it(as long as its an exact example of a WWII rifle) I dont want to fear ,that every time i shoot it ,that it devalues the gun! So i think for 500 bucks i got a hell of a deal on my No4Mk1!!! :>) Now as for a project rifle im not sure what to go after next?lol The rifles i need i cant get at RTI other then a Garand so idk just yet where to go for a Nagant and Arisaka?lol
That's really cool. I've ve got 4 of the No.4 Mk.1 rifles, one from each manufacturer. I like the Mosin nagants, they're very strong rifles. Not many places still have them, J&G Sales and likely Hunters Lodge do, but definitely not as cheap as they used to be.
@@The_Casual_Collector Oh ill be checking out bo0th places ,and thanks for the info!
