I appreciate it. Yep its one of my favorite BDRs to ride. You can find me on FB if you ever have any questions. Ill be more than happy to assist in any way
Made it in a rear wheel drive Ford 350 extended van once I started i hadda go for it no turning around then I came right down glad no one came up or down while I was on it
I was there three weeks ago on the BDR, and was thinking this one was going to be easy, only having my right arm& hand I made it up and down. It was the roughest of all the passes on the route in my opinion.
100% agree with you. Once we made camp and started talking about it the both of us thought the same thing. Hagerman this year was far more difficult than the rest of the BDR route. Ophir except back in I think in 2017/18 cant remember back when the rock slide happened was not as difficult as this.
I just did this last Friday on a stock 14' ktm 1190 adv. It was in worse shape than your video, but not by much. Several times, I used the same choice words, but I'd do it again. Next time, you should take the pass to Eagle-Vail absolutley stellar ride, and ut keeps you off the pavement a bit longer.
Thanks for watching the video. Its funny that you mentioned that cause today i was just thinking while at work that Its about time to tackle it again. Im hoping the wild fire smoke isnt so bad up there. I think this time I may take the 650 Rallye bike.
Hey MeerkatADV its been a min since we last seen each other. Hope all is well. As I completely agree with your comment about the placement of a comm device whilst riding I do think its far less important the placement of that device when you are riding with a buddy or a group of any size. Not to mention when I also carry a second comm device like my spot on and or sat phone in my hydration backpack so I would say I am over prepared wouldn't you? I personally think its all over kill after traveling across 27 countries and 4 continents over the past 30 years even before cell phone days. But hey! each to their own right? Well if you're ever up for it lets meet up at Rudy's in the springs for some BBQ sometime.
Love the commentary, I'm aiming to ride the COBDR in 2024 - excellent video!

Give Shane and I a shout so we can connect while you're here in CO.
It should be but you never know. Come prepared for anything :)
Looks familiar but that rutted area was awful!
they where surely the deepest ive seen them. but overall was an amazing time and well worth it. basically glad i didnt fall over lol
Im looking at the video with you and Dad to see the difference in the trail
I'm sorry, but I just laughed at you guy's crossing the rocky part of the track. Why, because I would be saying the same stuff.
LOL and dont forget to throw in the fact being excessively out of shape this season from being stuck behind a desk all summer lol

Would strongly suggest wearing your inreach. You end up hurt and separate from your bike and it does you no good on your handlebars.
