Greetings from an old "has been" motorcyclist who moved to Colorado in 1950 as a wee lad...You're doing a great job of sampling our state, As much as I love Colorado and Wyoming, I think my favorite riding was the "Grand Circle" region of southern Utah...You sure have the right set up, way to many riders just blast through on the asphalt and see precious little more than the road in front of their bikes. I see you're an ItchyBoots fan, I've been following her, OnHerBike, Pedro Mota, and Charly Sinewan...It amazes me the riding I get done at my kitchen table nowadays...
Thanks Mark. I hear you. Editing and watching all these great videos feels a little like riding. Itchy boots is the master. Southern Utah is my favorite riding I've done to date. So much we have talked about moving there. I come from dirt bikes, so the more dirt the better.
Thanks Brendan. I'm getting there. Hard to break through the tornado of content. Having a blast creating the videos regardless. Appreciate you taking the time too watch.
@@localrouteadv You're way too biased.....messin with ya....and that may be a first for an Adventure channel anyway! I'll have to give it another watch now!!
Great job really enjoyed it! I’ve been on most of the same trails with my 1190r… built a 500exc specifically for going back in 2023 (easier to pick up a 500 😆). Should have filmed my past adventures but never wanted to take the time, now wish I would have! Looking forward to your next post Brother!!
Thanks Lee. I almost didn't film this one. Had a hard time justifying the $500 GoPro and $1500 MacBook, not including accessories and cases and not to mention the 12 lbs extra weight for batteries, power banks, you name it. And several times in the moment I wondered if it was with it. But after all was said and done, one of the best decisions I ever made. Now I can go back and watch a 20 minute video and remember just about the entire day. But more important to me is I'm leaving something for my kids to watch long after I'm gone. So I will be filming all future journeys.
they are, but about 20 years ago I tried editing family videos from analog equipment, that agonizing task may have helped. much easier now. Thanks for the compliment. ps ep 03 is out.
@@localrouteadv top notch job. Saw #3 was up. At the same place in life as you are and hoping to get to do this one day. Enjoying the videos immensely and this is far from my first time on UA-cam so… Great job! I’m in your neck of the woods so maybe one of these days we’ll get to ride together. Thanks for sharing!
Really appreciate that. Means a lot. Really just making these so the family will have something to remember about me, but turning into a lot of fun. I'll be at the ero adventure ride Oct. 30 if you want to say hi. Probably film it as well.
Great video! I've been watching and thanks for taking us along on your adventure. I hope to do something similar soon and have one question. How are you charging your laptop to download your videos each night? Thank you.
Thanks. I carry a power bank. I charge it from the bike throughout the day. It will charge everything I have twice. The MacBook battery last 18 hours though. So I could go several days before charging.
That's a long story. Basically. Screenshot of a Gaia map. Then opened it in photo editor. Screen recording of me painting the line of the route. Open that in video editing program and use key frames to animate the truck along the path. It was hard the first couple times. Since then I have gotten better at it. The next episode has a few more tricks as well.
24:43 Damn that bunny was quick. Guess he didn't like the lightning either.
Good eye. I never saw it until now. Haha
Nice selfie. 😁
Thanks haha

Fantastic!!!
Many thanks!
Hey - your videos are really high quality and beautiful scenery - some good commentary too, you deserve more Subscribers - great stuff!

Thanks Buddy
great video's, thanks!!!!
Hey man, I loved this. Subbed right away. Cheers.
Never get tired of hearing this. Thanks
This was great! Looking to do this pass on my Tiger 900 in Sept. Getting a visual helps a lot! Well ridden.
Thanks Sarah. Glad to help.
Well done!!! Fantastic video editing, music is fenomenal...
Thanks so much. Great to hear.
Looks like a good trip so far. You almost lost me with the music early on, but I'm glad I stuck around because that sure is a great ride.
I know music is subjective, but I helped write it and played drums on all of it, so I thought it fit. Thanks for hanging in there.
