Love this! Did a video on this a while back with these exact points! I'm not very good at it but it's important because the head controls the body. And thank you for saying to allow your follow through to move your head. Keeping you head completely still the whole way can promote injury. Continue to dig your stuff!
This has been the biggest struggle with my form since I started. I think it's a big reason I'm hitting a distance plateau, and the over rotating is even making my brace foot spin/lift off the ground before release. Thanks for the drill!
Usually plant foot does start to open just before release… but if your weight is hopping up you likely have too much forward hip drift and are getting to far vertically over your brace. Check the short leg long leg video.
This is a great drill man! Nice and simple and primes someone to keep that head centered on full throws
