Thanks David, these dogs have brought me a lot of joy over the years so to share training tips, when I know they can be challenging to train is something I like to do. Enjoy your dogs !

I have been watching many of your videos while training my GWP male pup who is nine months old now, typical head strong GWP and also in teenage phase so not all easy training. Just wanted to compliment you on your videos, very informative and to the point. Well done on making them and thank you they are very appreciated. Regards Mick .

Thanks Mick ! I think that lots of us share the same problems in training, so I hope that it is helpful to share solutions to problems. Our pup Karat at 14 months is MUCH more headstrong now than she was at 9 months.....hang in there !!!!!!!

Hi Rita, They are a breed that naturally have a high level of excitement which is why training must be methodical and calm. The way that a GSP is kept also has a marked effect on the response to and progress of training. I would say ensure your dog has some quiet time before training, give it one to one for its training session and feed it after a training session. I hope this is a help.
