After catching this Brook Trout I am definitely excited to continue hiking and four wheeling to these high elevation mountain lakes!
There are approximately 80 fishable lakes or ponds on this mountain making it a playground for Anglers in search of trophy brook, cutthroat, tiger, or rainbow trout. There is a maze of off-road vehicle roads that get you to most. There are a few that are only accessible by foot. It's the hiking lakes that interests me the most!
Some of these trips will be 4x4 adventures, overland, since some of these roads are near impassable. Luckily my Toyota T100 has undergone some improvements allowing for better off-road capabilities. Other trips will be all about backpacking and spending the night at some of these most remote mountain lakes!

Yes, I do some fly fishing, I'm afraid I would get too many snags in the trees behind me. I like spin cast for these lakes

Yeah that makes sense. I'm dreaming of those fat brookies right now. Good stuff man

Glad I found this channel! I'm really interested in the type of fishing you do, as well as cooking food on fire. Keep up the great work man!

Hello, still alone with your dog? :) Still no bear problem?
The dress of this brook is just amazing. Nice catch.

What is your backpack setup and how do you transport your fishing pole?

It just folds in half and I pack it on my pack, you can see how I pack it in some of my videos and also I have a few videos of how I pack my backpack as well. Hope this helps!

Looks great, but I would prefer just pan fried that piece of nice fresh trout

I think pan frying would work better if I fillet the fish. When I've tried frying the whole fish it arches and I lose contact with the pan. I will fillet one soon so I can pan fry it.

How did you cut up the 4 large wood pieces you loaded? You are getting the job done my friend!

I actually had those from a previous trip. Cut with the Silky F180 and battoned with a Mora Knife. Thanks!
