On this camping trip I cooked fried egg breakfast sandwiches, lemon pepper trout with broccoli and rice, a wonderful cinnamon swirl cake, I roasted a whole chicken then fried another egg to test my pan seasoning's no stick properties.
This was a fun camping trip to some familiar places where I know the fishing is good and the fall colors are magnificent! I try to come here every fall.
I also brought some new gear to test:
A new fry pan kit that we're calling the Ultra Cook Kit, It's a high quality aluminum frypan and cowboy plate (pie pan) that are hard anodized which seals the aluminum behind a layer of ceramic aluminum oxide which is then seasoned like a cast iron pan to achieve a nonstick finish. The advantages are that it can be used at higher temps without worries of a nonstick coating breaking down. It also transfers heat better which makes the oven configuration more efficient. Mr Firebox Stove.....I love the videos. I don't comment much, but I have a few times on your videos....and you hit me back on one haha. I love Ash too. Your vids led me to my first hike in the Santa Fe National Forest in NM.....specifically the Pecos Wilderness. It was my 34th bday wish and I hiked to two lakes with my 57 yr old mother and stepfather....btw...it was my mom's bday month too. She outdid us both and im so blessed to have gotten closer to my family (you mentioned wishing family was with you in this video). We had a blast. It was a great test of fortitude, strength, endurance, spurituality, and so much more. After our approximate 15 mile round trip hike, we said never again, then we recooperated and made plans to do it again next yr....memorial day weekend. Thanks so much. I also caught my first two brookies two weekends ago....pan sized and cooked em up with the family. Aight sir...I'm going to finish the rest of this video....take care.

Once again I'm sat at work watching this on a cold, windy, miserable day in the UK. I'm salivating over all that food you're cooking and just wish I was there in that perfect environment, fishing for those trout! Whenever I've been off to do a bit of fishing, I have been battered by horrible gale force winds! Fantastic video as always! I always find myself at peace albeit slightly jealous after watching!

I came across your channel by accident, been watching all the episodes most of the day now. I like all the cooking knowledge and recipes that you share, but I particularly appreciate how you keep everything clean while you’re cooking. I noticed right off how clean you and your cooking area is always kept. comparably speaking from some other videos on UA-cam with lots of dirty hands and fingernails. Good for cleaning and a nip or 3 to keep ya warm before turning in with the dogs or goats.
I like to rub butter over the skin and that seems to make the chicken or turkey brown up nicely.Thanks for the awesome videos.

Over the last week I have been corresponding with FBS about these new pans and bam you go out and film me a video and cook so much food...and even show the cleaning up - I am sold! Your videos always make me happy! Try pouring a little bit of water on your filter to pre-wet it before you assemble the Aeropress. I think it takes some of the dusty paper filter taste out of the finished pressed coffee. Keep inspiring everyone to get outdoors!

I've used an aquabot for years, Love them for dishes!!! Great functionality with minimal water usage. That washcloth is something I use camping and at home. Never mildews, good scrubbing without being abrasive, easy to clean when you're done. Excellent additions to the FBS lineup!

@@richardm.gramling1772 I actually did use a wireless mic for part of that, most of the time I was using a Sony stereo mic very high-end but the wind protection was inadequate and it was noise-canceling really messed everything up. I have a additional dead cat that I've put over its original and now it seems to work perfectly. Thanks!

inspiring. the land out there i the west is remote and big. on another note, what about some sort of retaining wall that slips over the lid to better hold the coals? some kind of multi fold hinged accordion accessory that once unfolded, it can fasten together into a circle/ring .. hmmm
