FYI Clinical Nurse Specialists ARE APRNs (along with CNMs,NPs and CRNAs). In the video you spoke as if CNSs aren't APRNs. We all have to take the 4 Ps in graduate school and are trained in assessing, diagnosing and treating patients. I've been a CNS for nearly 4 years. Awesome field to work in. Great video, super informative. Nurses Rock!
Been following you throughout your journey on here. Congrats and so close! Your videos helped me get through my BSN program and I’m now racking up them unit hours to apply for CRNA. Hope you’ll continue making vids well into your new professional career!
I love the variety of different specialties nursing has. It’s also extremely rewarding. I can’t wait to graduate :’) Great video girlie! Very informative. 💕
Love your videos! I have no idea where you find the time to make quality content. I'm just doing prereqs for nursing school and I barely have time to do things like sleep and wash clothes. So excited for you to graduate!
Currently in nursing school with hopes of becoming a CRNA. I’m just worried about CRNA school though. Ive heard lots of people make it seem like it’s literally impossible and that you wouldn’t have time to do absolutely ANYTHING outside of school. Although i understand that it obviously won’t be easy, I’m really curious to know if it’s possible to not be depressed and miserable during CRNA school! How long do you usually study per day? I’m willing to work hard and hopefully become a CRNA one day :) thanks.
Hi! It is very hard but if you're dedicated you can do it! It has to come before everything else in your life at the time BUT that doesn't mean you won't have any time for other things. It depends on the day for studying. Rough estimate, 2 hours.
Lol the beginning was so cute, you're so adorable! Great video like always Rhianna, I'm currently an EMT and working on some experience to become a nurse in 4 years! Do you think I should become a paramedic for even more experience or should I stick to EMT and volunteer at a hospital as well? Thanks and I love your videos!
Thanks lol I'm not sure what the right thing would be in that situation. If I were you I'd probably become a paramedic to get more skills experience. It's up to you though!
This is very interesting for sure! There were some surprises for sure, and also some roles that I had no idea about. Great video! Much Love to You, Jon, and B! 💗💗💗
I'm surprised this is only 11 months old because nurse midwives usually only make about 106,000 a year. I did extensive research on this because I wanted to be one.
Why hasn’t an ER/TRAUMA Nurse made the too 10? In California you can’t apply for a Nursing job in the ER/TRAUMA center without being in program just for that OR you must have experience already before applying for that position.
Because UK has socialized healthcare. Government will pay the least amount for services and as a result, hospitals get less $, lower salaries for the nurses.
@@jenniferlynn2108 Thats not actually true. In Canada (for Ontario), a new nurse starts at $33.90 per hour. By the time a nurse has eight years of experience the pay increases to $47.69 per hour. That doesn't include the additional pay nurses receive for working evenings (extra $2.10 per hour), nights (extra $2.50 per hour), and weekends (extra $2.65 per hour). Canada has universal healthcare that is paid for by taxes.
Where would an ostomy nurse fall? After having surgery for my own ileostomy, it's a specialty I've become more interested in, but would love to learn more about!
Will you please consider making a video about your entire application process for CRNA school. Specifically, did you have BSN or a masters before entering CRNA-I am still confused wheter you should have masters before entering Doctorate and whether you can jump from BSN to Doctorate. Which school did you go to and how expensive is/was the tuition. I am planning to pay out of pocket and I would like to have someone smart tell me if I can afford it or not. If you do not have time for a whole video about the process, would you please answer my questions shortly over the comment? I would really appreciate it. You are my inspiration and I am binge watching all of your videos now :):)
I made that video already 😊 here's the link ua-cam.com/video/QWdkIB8j9OI/v-deo.html I also made a video on the masters vs doctorate requirement ua-cam.com/video/9dsHgLnTXx4/v-deo.html
Starting in 2025 you will need to work up to a Doctorate degree through BSN and then work your up to that doctorate degree. 7-8 years of total education with a minimum of one year of actually working in a ICU I believe.
How is nurse entrepreneur a category 🤔...isn’t that you being a nurse but being a business owner ? I thought the categories were degree specific lol interesting video but CRNA technically ranks number one STILL!
Hey! I was wondering if you need a nursing degree to become a nurse antithesis. I will be getting a degree in biomedical sciences will that be enough to get me into nurse antithesis school?
The import of PHILIPPINES and Indians NURSES to city like Chicago , California , Boston and NEW YORK have lower the starting wage for American Born Nurses ,a Truck driver with no GED are making more then a NURSE with a B.A FUGURE THAT OUT
All I know is it's exactly 2 months 15 days 8 hours 23mins until I retire and live off of my sugar momma. 😂
You're in the homestretch!
@@TheSchoellerFamily I feel like you have been saying that for 12 years lol. So proud of you!!
y’all are so cute i’m crying
😂😂😂
Im really rooting for you Jon! Also congrats Rhianna. I’m a Bsn pre nursing student trying to start the path to get like you. 🙏🏾
Wow, there’s definitely some specialties I’ve never thought of. Great vid!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks 😊

So stoked to have found your channel. It's nice to meet other nurses who enjoy CrossFit.
YES! So glad to connect!!
I’m just trying to get through my adn. Lol
Girl same 😂😂😂 I’m just trying to get my ADN so I can officially become a RN. Then I’ll go back to school sooner or later to get my BSN.
Two years after, and I found this video! So informative and useful! Thank you

Thank you so much! A little over 2 months 🤯 I will definitely continue making videos! Good luck applying!

I am currently going to school for nursing informatics
That's awesome!

When I was doing the research before I made the video and I was surprised as well! I didn't even think of some before. Much love to you as well 💕
Gr8 vid...attention to detail as allways
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
I was surprised nurse midwifery is so highly paid. Very cool!
Me too!!
Great idea for a video
Thanks 😊
FNP should have definitely been in this list
Great video! I wonder were travel nursing would fall? Maybe under entrepreneurship?
I would put it there because you work when/where you want and negotiate your contracts!
Thanks for this!! 🤗🤗
You're welcome!

Golden heart Lady Nurse
I thought a psychiatric nurse would be in the top 3. I guess they fall under NP. Regardless, thank you for the info.
Love your videos!!
I counted it under NP 😊
Rhianna Ferial yes. Ma’am. :)
Love this video! So interesting the difference between nursing in America and the UK. In England a staff nurse earns a starting salary of £24,000!!!
Wow, very interesting!
Because UK has socialized healthcare. Government will pay the least amount for services and as a result, hospitals get less $, lower salaries for the nurses.

I'm not sure, I didn't look into it specifically but probably around staff nurse.
THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome!
She swooped up that money so fast at the beginning 😂

I would like to know how you reached to crna? Did you do travel nursing and study meanwhile ? Is it possible to be a travel nurse and do crna school!?
no.
What about CNO’s?
That would have been a good one to include!
Nurse practitioner 5:36

How long would it take to study for to work in CRNA

I consider it a category by itself but if you're going just by degrees than yes, you're right!

My Coisins A Rn Nurse And My Sister is a Respitory Nurse Run in My 👪 Family
Hi
I have bs in health administration and now I’m studying to be RN.
What would be a best specialty for me ? Any recommendations?
Thanks
So do you have your masters degree.?
Hey! I was wondering if you need a nursing degree to become a nurse antithesis. I will be getting a degree in biomedical sciences will that be enough to get me into nurse antithesis school?
You have to be a nurse and work as a nurse first.
Ah ! I cant wait to be a nurse.
I think you mistaken left out “psychiatric nurse practitioners” (psych DNP’s) from the list
Good point I'll have to look into that!
Ughhh where I live a staff nurse only makes 50 to 60 thousand a year ..
Taylor Renee here we only make 4,000$ a year
Same where I live! That's why I did the national average.
