I think it’s really awesome you shared your pay! Money is always a taboo subject but I think it’s definitely necessary to talk about. I have no desire to be a crna but think this is really helpful for those who do want to pursue that. You have worked so freaking hard to be where you’re at and you deserve what you make!
Great video. I work in Emergency Medicine as an NP, which our pay is similar to CRNAs here in AZ. I had to ask myself the same question regarding the stress, liability, and whacky hours, because ultimately that’s why there is such a drastic pay difference between CRNA, EM and other APP specialties (and I’ve done others). For me it’s a resounding yes, but it’s a very important question to know the answer to, particularly in the case of CRNA because the initial investment is huge. I think it would be helpful to make that video as many primarily focus on the salary as their sole decision making process for moving forward with CRNA, NP, etc.
Thank you so much for your transparency, I think it is empowering to discuss pay out in the open. This also gets me pumped up to start CRNA school!! Thanks Rhianna!
Hafsa Sheikh if it’s what you love it’s worth it if you don’t love it, of course it’s not. But not everyone is lucky enough to have a job they love but they’re lucky if they have a job that atleast can fully provide for themselves and their kids

Yeaa, cali takes almost have your paycheck. Theres always contruction that's takes years to finish and I seen no improvement in schools. Like what are they doing with my money.
I can't wait til I am a CRNA! Started in surg tech and I thought I was going to be a Resp. Ther. But I made up my mind officially over a year ago and now I'm going for it. It's very hard. This is now the 3rd degree program I have put myself through in life. In my 20's I didn't think healthcare was going to be for me, but I completely became obsessed and I now know its absolutely the career for me. I have had surgeries in the past and I didn't always find the Anaesthesiologist to be the most pleasant or comforting person in the room. Too much seriousness and not enough comforting to make me feel better about being put to sleep for surgery. So, I vow to be the most patient conscious and caring, comforting, calming, soothing, relaxing CRNA they ever have. I'm sure your patients all love you, Rhianna! You're cute and nice and smart too. I only hope my next surgery I have is with someone as nice as you putting me to sleep. It can be a very scary experience for some people. Thank you 🧡😴
Thank you for putting this out there! This was super educational and I appreciate the content you produce for us pre-SRNAs, nursing students, RNs, etc!
Thank you for your honesty. I've been looking for straight up answers. Others kind of go around the bush. But you so far is the only one who is 💯 transparent. Thx. You have a new subscriber. 👍
I still remember the day I got my acceptance letter into undergraduate nursing. I was about 5 hours into a 24-hour car ride with my dad from Key Largo, FL to New York. I knew I was going to get in, but I still cried. 3.9 GPA and I'm working as an RN but I can't wait to start an advanced program. My dad was the one who suggested me to be a nurse, it was never in my original college plan. To be honest, I switched my major only because I had no better ideas. I didn't even think I was smart enough to succeed in nursing school - I was totally wrong and I dropped 8-hour study days 5 days a week and never got bored. I loved every single thing I learned. Even now I miss the long days at my old university's coffee shops and on my days off I read chapters we skipped from my old textbooks to keep my educational mindset in check for the next year and a half until I start. I can't imagine the feeling I will have when I get accepted into an advanced nursing practice program. To be honest, I was a total show-off in school getting all these terrific scores and making complicated, 30-40 page study guides. But it just reflected how passionate I truly was for my education.
That’s crazy I’m starting nursing school in 2 weeks, I think I want to pursue Anesthesia school after I get a few years under my belt. This type of income will allow me to travel like I want to and be financially comfortable.
@strongbad666 you already have aloy of nurses and Drs and PAs doing it for the money not only that but should she choose a job thats not paying anything? No! If u work as hard as a nurse u deserve the pay.
strongbad666 not a lack of value but a lack of education and responsibility. nothing they do is high risk enough to give them lots of $, and its a shorter program. they do deserve more but not an insane amount
Following because I love your humbleness. I’m looking into different specialties. Came across your critical care vlog now I’m watching all of your videos ❤️ never looked into CRNA
Thank you for being so candid about pay. It doesn't come across as gloating at all. How does the stress of being a CRNA compare to the stress of working at a level 1 trauma ICU?
What?!! That is so so much! I am from Germany. CRNAs get about 40 to 60000 $ per year before taxes!!! And if you don't have children, after taxes and mandatory charges like health insurance contribution, pension fund contribution and social security you have left a little more than half of it. I am shocked! I thought I got your numbers wrong. But then you showed them black on white! All the time we hear the complaints from Americans about the low income rates. Is this a highly better paid job in the US or are the complaints on a very high level? Because you also said that your living expenses are very low. And no one in the comments seems to be surprised. And which professions would be on the same income level? I am very curious about answers!!! And last but not least: All three of you are incredibly uplifting people! Watching your personalities just makes me happy! You put a constant smile on my face while watching how you two interact with your lovely lovely daughter and with each other! How you constantly show your overwhelming love to Tyanna is so touching! And to see how she soaks in your unconditional love even more! You are unbelievable great parents and people! And what a joy Tyanna is. That shows even more what a great "job" you do as parents. All the very best to you!!!
This is awesome. Man, CRNA school is not easy. She definitely deserves it and she seems very nice and genuine. Humbleness gets you pretty far. I hope you remain this way. Congratulations.
I have no idea if you will see this comment, but hi! I am currently coming close to graduating my undergrad with a bachelors and a minor; I was pre-med this entire time but have come to realize I don't want to attend medical school. I've researched other potential careers within the medical field and I found your video and channel and it is so helpful! I'm definitely going to research further into CRNA because of you
You were making $11,000 per week as a traveling crisis RN? Can you please send me the name of the hospital and company your working for so I can apply ASAP!!!! Considering COVID is making a come back, I know they will have positions available soon!
I believe every word you are saying, I think that you deserve all that money. Rihanna don't worry about some small minded people and their opinions. You are a star, transparent and honest. I really admire you, greetings from Poland. I love your smile and enthusiasm and all your effort and positive energy.
My $.02 for what it's worth: You were privileged with ability to attend higher education and then to work hard once you were there. I know not everyone has that privilege. I think sharing your experience is valuable, and transparency helps people to know what to expect and can actually shed light on systemic injustices (such as POC being paid less). Your transparency is appreciated and I don't take it as bragging, bit rather lifting the veil on things often kept hidden so it can be examined in the light.
Privileged??? EARNT! YOU SPAZ. White Europeans especially British French and Germany went through absolute bloodshed to get these countries ahead. Nothing unfair or "privilege" about it
Thank you so much for your time making these videos! I love your honesty and getting straight to the point. Love your channel and so excited to become a future CRNA
I too am a CRNA. Self employed, so it matters on the insurace carrier or if the person is on welfare...so varies a lot! Personally, I gross over 1k per day. I do take a lot of call, but do work approx 40hrs per week and have 10weeks vac per yr.
Well worth it. Have been CRNA for 20yrs. My lifestyle is fantastic is great. Ilove what I do and travel constantly. In fact, I am in Alaska and then to Cancun for week two. It is like having another house payment, but you make five times as much!
This is so helpful. I quit my medical sales job to start nursing school this August and am thinking of pursuing CRNA. I am also in WV, so it was perfect to have an idea of what this will actually look like for me!
I have talked about the study aids I used and highly recommend them! The Vargo Anesthesia app, the Open Anesthesia website, Valley Anesthesia and Apex Anesthesia 😊
Great point! My job as a loan officer is super stressful but I just love it too much! I cant imagine doing it every day if I hated it. Very solid advice!
Man I wish I would have taken that path instead of FNP😳 That’s an insane amount of money!! However I don’t know if I would have made it through CRNA school with all the math involved 😂🤣
Insecurities AND jealousy- that's what makes them say mean things about you. You have accomplished the perfect balance with a career, fitness, family that they may never have. They know they can not work as hard as you do. So they work their keyboard to tarnish your reputation. Try as they may, they won't succeed. *Huge fan here* 🥰
Many CRNA programs are now making their student sign contract stating they will not work. Also, considering CRNA's are now required to become DNP's, I'm not sure where one would find the time.
Thank you for sharing. You are not at all showing off. You shared exactly what we wanted to know about the pay straight forward. You are awesome! TY again 🙏❤
Thank you for all the information! This is definitely something that no one had shared before so thank you! And I have a question, were you able to work while attending the CRNA program?
Impressive! Congrats, I considered CRNA school and worked in ICU but decided to become a psych NP. Looks like I get less in NYC but no regrets cause I love what I do. Sometimes I miss working with vent pts but I don’t think the stress of working as CRNA would’ve made me happy. All the best!
Is CRNA school math & ochem heavy? I have dyscalcula (math learning difference), but want to pursue CRNA path. It took me 40 hours a week of studying to get an “A” in Ochem. Thank you for the nice video!
By the way, you make more than alot of Internists, Endocrinologists, Nephrologists, Infectious Disease Specialists, Pediatricians, Family Practitioners etc. A person who becomes a CRNA has less debt burden than someone who has 200-300k in loans and became a Primary Care Physician. That's what it boils down to. 👍
Those fields you can go into private practice and be a millionaire, but every doesn't do that. By the way she making a little over 285k a year. In that field, anesthesia is basically killing people with every surgery, her whole career will be on the line, I mean completely over if something were to go wrong. Even though the anesthesiologist is the one writing the orders. They will sue the hospital or facility and that inturn will fall on that nurse. Most companies make you pay for additional liability insurance in order to cover your license. Not anyone can be a CRNA, what they put you through in that program is brutal. Now its a mandatory 3 year program for doctorate. Schools now get an extra year out of you for about 40,000 dollars. I didn't make it though the program, but I just wasn't focused enough at the time. I'm older, wiser, more mature, will reapply next year. You are absolutely right though about physicians vs CRNA, an anesthesiologist that i use to work for made 400k with student loans that he said could never get repayed. He mentioned, if he had known, he would definitely went to nursing school instead to become a CRNA.
@@darienhawthorne1329 Nowadays, forget becoming a millionaire in those fields even in private practice. Insurance reimbursement hasn't gone up since 1997. Costs of running a practice have gone up, especially with maintaining an EHR system. Also, dialysis companies have taken the business away from nephrologists who used to have their own dialysis centers, making nephrology one of the worst fields in medicine now.

I feel like travel or contract is thje best way to stay in the field and continue to get enrichment for the hard work put in.
You make more in one month than I will this entire year 😭 oh the struggles of being a nursing student. I graduate in December and I can’t wait to have a real paycheck!!!
Wait u get paid as a student?
Atne of course not, I have a job.
For real 😂 when I was a student I made like $10k a year working as a tech lol
I have no intention of being a CRNA but my son does. Your transparency on the topic of pay is admirable. Stay humble and thank you for what you do.
stay humble? you gonna write that on every channel you visit? that's cute.
@@stevenwilliams6235 I think you have me confused with someone else. But thanks for taking the time to post a garbage reply that makes no sense.
Doesnt matter what you think....that was the point...since you missed it...dont keep yackin on and on either...im not interested in you...you dont want my interest you really dont. Stay humble.
@@stevenwilliams6235 Ok internet tough guy,...If it doesn't matter what anyone thinks, I guess UA-cam should just get rid of the comments section by your "logic." This is the most ridiculous conversation. It's like I'm debating with a box of rocks. There's no point. I think we're done here.
Omg! I really like how transparent you are! Stay inspiring us!
Thank you for being so open! My long term dream is to become a CRNA, I start nursing school next month! 😄😬
Congrats on getting into nursing school! That's so exciting!
You are such a breath of fresh air 😇😇 thank you for being honest
You're welcome 💕
That's a heck of an accomplishment super motivated by this all of your hard work paid off proud of you may God keep blessing you and your family 🙏🏿
Thank you !
I’m so happy for you! Thank you for sharing this personal info with us. You worked hard for this and you deserve the very best! You’re very wise to continue being frugal. Congratulations! 🎉
Thank you Olga! You're welcome!
I’m from WV too and want to pursue CRNA school. I’m so happy I found you! Let’s go MOUNTAINEERS 💙💛
Rhianna, thank you very much! I appreciate your transparency and your passion to educate and inspire people. Your are brilliant and amazing!
I’m first here!!! It’s been so long since I said that 😩. It’s my last nursing school semester and I am pre-stress about the stress this Fall🧘🏾♀️
You're so close! I know it's a stressful time. Sending you positive vibes!
How’s it going so far?
I think it’s awesome that you share this information If you love what you do they say it’s not work at all😍
Love these types of videos! Thanks so much for sharing. That is an awesome salary especially if you live in a relatively low cost area.
Thanks I'm glad you do! Yes it is!
Thank you so much for your transparency, I think it is empowering to discuss pay out in the open. This also gets me pumped up to start CRNA school!! Thanks Rhianna!
“Is the stress worth the money? My thoughts on being a CRNA” that sounds like an AMAZING title. #JustSaying
Lol
So true the headch and the stress is not worth it
Hafsa Sheikh if it’s what you love it’s worth it if you don’t love it, of course it’s not. But not everyone is lucky enough to have a job they love but they’re lucky if they have a job that atleast can fully provide for themselves and their kids
I agree if it something you love and passionate about its worth but to go to school almost 9 years and have to work under everyone a friend of mine Quit CRNA SCHOOL and did n Nurse practitioner today she have her own clinic and See patients
Coming soon! Love the title suggestion 😍
I like that you were transparent. This video is going to be one of your most viewed. I know I'm not the only one that has been searching up salaries and everyone has been quoting websites only. You can't even find a proper Rn salary video on UA-cam. Big up yuhself (That means you're awesome) , and continue to do well.
I've been whaling about taxes for a year now. Come move to California where you can straight up have an aneurysm from the taxes.
I’m having an aneurysm working in the Bay Area, from the traffic and parking fees in SF too 😭
Yeaa, cali takes almost have your paycheck. Theres always contruction that's takes years to finish and I seen no improvement in schools. Like what are they doing with my money.
I moved out of Cali years ago and never regretted one day of it!
I remember when I was a travel nurse there, SO MUCH TAXES!
I can’t wait til I’m doing well enough to be upset about taxes 😈so excited to get into CRNA school
Fellow WV resident here that is currently in nursing school and hoping to be a CRNA one day. Thank you for being so transparent!
How freaking amazing! Thanks for being so honest & motivating to others. I’m applying for nursing school and becoming a CRNA has been interesting me.
Girl! We love u. Nobody thinks u r bragging. It's good info for some of us.
I’m so proud of you!! This is years of hard work paying off and I’m so happy for you 💜
I can't wait til I am a CRNA! Thank you 🧡😴
West Virginia! YES! That’s where I am girl! I’m on my journey trying to get to where you are! 😊💓
Thank you for putting this out there! This was super educational and I appreciate the content you produce for us pre-SRNAs, nursing students, RNs, etc!
Thanks for making this video! It helps many aspiring CRNA’s get an idea of how much they will be making. I look forward to your future videos ☺️
I hope you are doing it for the right reasons as well...
3:58 you're welcome 😂
The real MVP💪🏾
Not the hero we wanted but the hero we needed
Thanks 🙏
This is awesome. Man, CRNA school is not easy. She definitely deserves it and she seems very nice and genuine. Humbleness gets you pretty far. I hope you remain this way. Congratulations.
Now that you’re Mrs. Money Bags does that mean I can start skipping the ads on your channel? 😂
🤣 hahaha
Lol
No 😂
You can never have too much money
I have no idea if you will see this comment, but hi! I am currently coming close to graduating my undergrad with a bachelors and a minor; I was pre-med this entire time but have come to realize I don't want to attend medical school. I've researched other potential careers within the medical field and I found your video and channel and it is so helpful! I'm definitely going to research further into CRNA because of you
Nice!! That's the exact amount I got paid per week as a travel crisis RN (med-surg) during covid
Thank you for the kind message 💕😭
My $.02 for what it's worth:
You were privileged with ability to attend higher education and then to work hard once you were there.
Nothing unfair or "privilege" about it
Spot on!! 🖤
I’m a new subscriber so I felt like I didn’t deserve to know such personal information. Thank you for being so transparent.
Aw welcome! I always try to share what I can!
Wow that’s crazy. Definitely don’t make near that as an NP. 😕
NPs should make more! I hope the pay increases for all APRNs.
what kind of an NP are you?
BasicInstinctx3 FNP in emergency
Rhianna Ferial isn’t CRNA more advanced than an NP though? One of the most advanced nursing tracks?
Arlyn Donnelly it is and usually to become crna is 7-8 years
Just starting on my journey. Thank you for your efforts and eductional content!!
taxes are such a ripoff.
Not when you're living in a country that actually has social security and a good health system.
Yes they are a rip-off
Right! $3700 is insane
Thank you so much for your time making these videos! I love your honesty and getting straight to the point. Love your channel and so excited to become a future CRNA
$130 ish/hr is my guess. That's amazing. I'm definitely gonna be a CRNA now
Just FYI that check had overtime on it so it won't be that much every week!
I too am a CRNA. Self employed, so it matters on the insurace carrier or if the person is on welfare...so varies a lot! Personally, I gross over 1k per day. I do take a lot of call, but do work approx 40hrs per week and have 10weeks vac per yr.
Congratulations baby girl! Hardwork pays off! Super proud of you!
I start CRNA school next May and I have to take out loans for the first time :( I’m so scared but I know it will be worth it at the end
Good Luck. You can do it and don't be discouraged about taking out loan it will be worth it.
Well worth it. Have been CRNA for 20yrs. My lifestyle is fantastic is great. Ilove what I do and travel constantly. In fact, I am in Alaska and then to Cancun for week two. It is like having another house payment, but you make five times as much!
Duane Smith One day I’ll be you 🔥❤️
How is it going
@@duanesmith9770 how much uh make a month....plz
This is so helpful. I quit my medical sales job to start nursing school this August and am thinking of pursuing CRNA. I am also in WV, so it was perfect to have an idea of what this will actually look like for me!
this is extremely helpful I aspire to be a CRNA 😍
i am in love with that video. i feel inspired to pursue my nursing career
Hey @Rhianna why don’t you show us your notes or sell your resources, notes & test that you had in CRNA SCHOOL somewhere on online platform.
So happy for you! Loving your job means so much!
That’s how I feel with increasing income do more traveling for experiences than buying more things or bigger homes and faster cars. 👍
Fabulously and gracefully done. Shout out to you and your amazing success!!!
Thank you so much 💕
Man I wish I would have taken that path instead of FNP😳 That’s an insane amount of money!! However I don’t know if I would have made it through CRNA school with all the math involved 😂🤣
FNP is a great role and is so important ❤️ wish you guys got paid more! You deserve it!
Insecurities AND jealousy- that's what makes them say mean things about you. You have accomplished the perfect balance with a career, fitness, family that they may never have. They know they can not work as hard as you do. So they work their keyboard to tarnish your reputation. Try as they may, they won't succeed.
*Huge fan here* 🥰
Oh wow you worked PRN while in CRNA school !
I always heard that was taboo. How many days a month on average did you work ?
My dream job CRNA im going step by step im excited 🥰🩺💉💊
Is CRNA school math & ochem heavy?
I have dyscalcula (math learning difference), but want to pursue CRNA path.
It took me 40 hours a week of studying to get an “A” in Ochem.
Thank you for the nice video!
you deserve this! glad all your hard work is now paying off
By the way, you make more than alot of Internists, Endocrinologists, Nephrologists, Infectious Disease Specialists, Pediatricians, Family Practitioners etc.
A person who becomes a CRNA has less debt burden than someone who has 200-300k in loans and became a Primary Care Physician. That's what it boils down to. 👍
Hmmmmm interesting. I guess it just comes down to doing what you love
Interesting outlook from that perspective. Good to know, bad for up and coming physicians
Congratulations! I am going to keep going and be motivated by your accomplishment because this is sooo inspirational.
