I used to work in cinema, and a black screen was like the blue circle of death on the Xbox, or the Windows blue error screen! These mods show just how simple it would have been for BGS to have put them in the game in the first place. Times have changed in 25 years, and I disagree with losing achievements due to modding, especially when nearly all the early Nexus mods were fixes for what had been left out by BGS! Why must we lose achievements for fixing the poor state of their games, even when it was to fix a broken mission??? It's wrong, and Bethesda need to catch up with the times!
The achievement enabler mod for starfield was released on September 1st 2023 on Nexus. The same date when the game PRE-RELEASED. Pretty sure anyone that's used mods on PC, know you can add this mod as well to enable achievements for any mod out there.
Add hidden loading screens and soon enough you will still be reaching out for your phone after the 3rd or 4th time, guaranteed! LOL. Although it'd be a nice add for planetary landing sure and intra-building travelling. I doubt bethesda will ever implement.
(Havent played it, just interested in the infamous game design problem of procedural worlds) Hmmm.. I was hoping for something that would allow you to fly seamlessly from 100km above any world to 100km above any other, only have a loading screen for landing, because it could solve such a big problem of the game design without needing a whole new engine. You could spawn and unspawn planets within some box so although you might need to do a few thousand high prescision float calculations, the renderer would not need to deal with those. Even a scripting language could probably handle that. There would never be any complicated clipping between the ship and the planet because the ship would always be invisible before it was behind it. Even if the planet was only tens of meters across, you just render it to the background before any ship or important object you can hit. If ever you get too close to the planet it just triggers a landing animation avoiding all those special cases. This is all super low tech stuff compare to, eg, NMS. I was thinking that " Skyrim in space, _IN SPACE!_ " would solve a key problem in the game design: people complain that procedural worlds cannot deliver the same handcrafted exploration experience that skyrim does, and they are right, that was never possible... But you can 1-1 map that style of exploration onto the _in-space_ part of the game. The in-space environment could have the same few hundred handcrafted locations that Skyrim does. "You see a mountain" becomes "you see a nebula", and you can visit it. Instead of a dragon flying overhead there is a warship, castles are planets (still with loading screens to "enter"), bandits are pirate ships. There could be radio signals and sensors to let you detect these things at much greater distances than visual, but space games have already shown various ways of doing this I expect.
I use to think it was a loading screen, then I realized it’s the blackness in between entering and exiting grav jump. However, I do like the mod. Perhaps Bethesda will correct this themselves in the future.
@@XKathXgames I seen on UA-cam from one of the Credible UA-camrs I'm subscribed to he covered the interview, but it's been 8 months so I don't remember the name of the UA-camr, but Todd Howard did say it, you have my word on it.
What a bs💩 an animated loading screen is still a fkn loading screen. So your statement is a blatant lie! If you want to experience a real space game without a loading screen, go play Star Citizen, they'll show you what a absences of loadings screens look like!

@quadgon yes - it's a MOD though!
It’s a good mod that Bethesda should consider adding into the game.
Hey, thanks for the showcase. Glad you like the mod.
Wow. Totally needed this. I was saying at release that loading screens are fine, but make them immersive for God's sake.

I mean you say no load screen... but that is exactly what it is... it's still a load screen, but animated.
I recognize that ship at 0:00 😉
Something so simple that should have been in the game from day one 😅
Hopefully these immersive mods come to Creations!
Very cool, thank you.
I'll be trying this mod tonight
It’s not in the creations on Xbox. Maybe I misunderstood him. I’m sure he stated that it was on PC and Xbox.
He's known for this shit.

first starfield video i seen that wasnt 10 months ago
Good stuff hope it comes over to Xbox!
I like your voice. You would be perfect for forza

Todd Howard needs to do what he said Starfield already did before release, which is background loading screens!
When did he say that? Cuz I saw now interview or post that said such thing

@@XKathXgames but if I come across the UA-camr and see his name I try to remember to let you know
Would you please port this to xbox❤ Need this so much, appreciate it
What? No plaid?😁
try "Astrogate interplanetary travel"
Is there a way knowing the mods need a update?
Will this come Xbox
The mod looks so poorly done. It could done so much better.
Is there a mod to stream video to the screens in game?
