Hi Dr. DiNicolantonio. Loved The Slat Fix and more salt in my diet. Even though it was very
thorough I do have a question about upping my sodium intake. I'm not sure where to ask that so here's the question: What about the sodium/potassium ratio? If I am adding a teaspoon or more of salt to my diet isn't that going to require me to need an unreal amount of potassium for the pump?

  • @MikeCola

Hi Dr DiNicolantonio...When you recommend 3g to 4g of omega-3 fish oil. You talking about 4g of EPA. That would be about 4 or 5 teaspoons of omega-3 fish oil...correct? In addition to the fish oil, you also recommend 4g of Krill oil too...correct?
I'm looking forward to reading the new book....Thanks for doing all the research.
    Best - Mike

James can you come up with a talk on omega-3. Dr Jeff Matheson has come out arguing against Omega-3 and advocating a product that is rich in healthy omega-6. Just want to have your important opinion on it. What is the optimal amount of omega-3? Matheson also came up that age spots are caused by omega-3 on the skin.

How do you find a "real" olive oil? I am reading about all of the olive oil scams. I thought I was getting a real olive oil because it became thick in the fridge, but now I'm reading that may not be a good test either. We are trying to eat better with olive oil only to find out we are still consuming vegetable oils.

Gesh. That's a long list of supplements. Do you take them all at once? I have to take 10K vitamin D daily in the winter to keep my D levels at the low range of normal. And I have to take B-100 because I'm always low in B (even my DNA screen says so). And I take a gram of fish oil. I struggle to take those on a daily basis. Why can't there be ONE supplement pill that has everything I need (and doesn't smell like a B vitamin tablet)? Loved "The Salt Fix" and have pre-ordered "Superfuel."

Avulsia there’s a huge difference. Farmer salmon has lower omega 3 and higher omega 6. Farmed salmon is literally injected with dye bc wild salmon gets its color from their diet, which farmed salmon’s diet is awful.
