I don't understand, in the states your parents choose what happens to you? at 16 in Canada we sign whether we want to be donors or not on our health card/drivers license.
I was saddened to learn of David's Mother, Nancy's, death in 2018. What a wonderful soul she was. It puts a smile on my face knowing that she and David have been reunited and are happy together in eternity!

A single mother with an only child who passed away from a bike accident. How could she be so strong? Her son saved and changed the lives of the recipients and their families, including children. So much respect, may she live the rest of her life with many blessings.
She also was fighting cancer unfortunately lost her life in 2018

He deserves the face after rushing into a burning house looking to save more people. He's a hero and that woman's son was a hero donating his face so the fire fighter can live a better life. This story is beautiful.

What I wouldn't give to hear my 23 year old son's heart, see his face, and know he was able to give life to others. Sadly, his death did not allow him to be the organ donor he wanted to be. I feel such joy, and such sorrow, watching this video. What a wonderful, wonderful ending to many life tragedies.

Strong mother. Losing my son would kill me literally.
Sadly she passed away last year due to cancer. I'm pretty sure that the fact of lossing your only child help to develop this terrible disease.

That mum is an amazing woman, what an incredibly kind and unselfish thing she did. It's not until you see things like this that you realise how many lives one human can change, I cried like a baby thru this whole thing. I could see Patricks face after the transplant, he was still very much himself I thought, but you could also see so much of David as well. So nice to watch a truly heart warming, tear jerking story for a change :)
Yes, this mom is an incredibly amazing woman and in my eyes truly, truly unselfish. This quote from the comment, "It's not until you see things like this that you realize how many lives one human can change." This is so true and because I believe there are good hearted people in the world I try & find them and when I do I make sure to let them know their good deed does not go unnoticed, example, leaving comments such as this one and when talking to people pointing It out and thanking them and letting them know this good deed is something to emulate.

What an awesome relationship he and his mother had. A bond only a mother and son could have. I miss my boy where ever he is .. only God knows.😣
