LuLu's Body Piercing I love your energy (⌒▽⌒)
LuLu's Body Piercing 👋🏾 new here. I got my Tragus pierced 2 years ago and decided to change my jewelry out by the same place I had it done the first time for some it got irritated in the process of changing it out. Now Its a little swollen in the back ( going on 3 weeks) like a new piercing.. Any recommendation? Please help!! Thanks
@@msshay7625 Are you doing sea salt soaks still? Maybe that would also help. Don't overdo it though. Treat them as if they were brand new. (Jan Griffiths).
my piercer said the healing for helix piercings are 9 months. i’m carrying a child in the form of a piercing
Yep, pretty much. Always do what your piercer recommends. (Jan Griffiths).
fish pebbles it took about 5 months for it to heal fully for me, ig it’s different for everyone
Mine took 4 months 😳
LM AO
Mine told I can change the helix earing in 2-3 weeks and my lobe piercing took about 2 weeks to heal
I went to a concert 4 days after getting my double helix, someone hit my ear and let me tell you: that shit HURT. Pure agony
Sw yeah mine hurt so badly at first! being the idiot i am, i didn’t think about washing my hair and had to comb through it ufhhhhhh and my hair got caught of course. very bad
I would hit someone cause my mom is letting me get mine done on my birthday
I'm scared because I'll do mine September 2nd and I've got a concert February 7th, do you think it will be OK since?
@@astyeria it should be but a concert in February!!!?
@@myhunger2523 he's still not postpone again but yes, I've got a show in February 7th
I got my two helix done at the same time when I was like 14, they healed quickly, didn’t hurt and never gave me any problems 🤷🏽♀️
i’m thinking about getting mine done! do u like urs? i’m kinda nervous so i’m just curious
@@hannahelizabeth1727 I had a double helix piercing a few weeks ago and they aren't that bad. When you actually get it pierced it doesn't hurt very much, but sleeping is quite uncomfortable if you sleep on the side you have your piercing in for the first couple of weeks, but it's totally worth it as they look really good. Hope this helps!
@Sara Sabbir Year 8 personally, a needle
Sara Sabbir Year 8 needle, do not go to claire’s or anywhere that uses a gun! especially for helix piercings (they made a video on this i think)
Sara Sabbir Year 8 oh yeah don’t do that haha claire’s doesn’t clean their stuff well, my friends and i watched someone get theirs pierced and she didn’t wear gloves while cleaning it and she didn’t clean the gun from the last person 😬 look up tattoo shops or piercing shops in your area (most tattoo shops do piercings too) because they will do it with a needle and it’s much more sanitary, and they will tell you how to properly care for it. claire’s gives you a “fast healing” liquid thing and i’m pretty sure it has chemicals in it 😂 and make sure the place has good reviewsss
You can wear headphones after it’s fully healed. I’m always wearing over the ear headphones and have no issues with my healed helix. However, I don’t recommend wearing them while a piercing is healing.
Same. (Jan Griffiths).
Same here. Nothing bothers my helix piercing, or my 3 forward helix piercings. Now, it’s hard to wear earbuds with my tragus and daith piercings, but I can still wear them. They just fall out more than I’d like.
Diana Woodard I have my daiths piercings and I can’t hardly wear earbuds. They fall out so much!
@@Bree1005 sad😂
I would agree. I have two helix piercings and an industrial and I can wear headphones just fine. I might have to wiggle the headphones to fit my jewelry inside but it's not painful
I've had my helix for two years now, and right about at the 12, 13 month mark I could finally sleep without the jewelry in!! It is 100% healed and happy!
Do you take it out to sleep?
doesn’t it close?
@@martinazuniga8321 Nope, but then again I usually don't go any longer than like 10 or 12 hours without anything in. I didn't downsize, either, so I'm still at a 16G.
@@Misuzu4213 Unless I am just so tired that I forget to take it out lol
xXDemkaBelikovXx Why do you take it out?
It took my helix 2 years to fully heal, because I slept on it when I thought it was healed. I woke up with it hurting and swollen. It eventually calmed down, though, and I love it :)
I form kind of a donut out of a towel, with this little helper, I can sleep on it without any pain😌
5 years and i’m still waiting
@@leeeli468 I started to use one of the traveling neck pillows and sleep with my ear in the hole, works great!
@@brynn9919 Yeah I guess that's nearly the same. I don't have a neck pillow, so I thought of a donut
@@leeeli468 I've done it today, but it's so hurting, I cannot sleep:( How many days would it hurt???
I think hate is a strong word. I got my helix piercing almost a month ago, and yeah, the things he mentioned are inconvenient, but they are not things i hate. I sleep with my memory foam neck pillow which has been MUCH better than i expected, it doesn’t catch on many things if you are careful and conscious, and yeah, it will take a long time to heal, but it doesn’t hurt at all anymore until i occasionally hit it. It’s been the easiest piercing (for me) to take care of, and i love it so much. This is just my experience, and i wanted to share :)
I was brushing my hair last night and forgot I’ve just got it done and brushed over it !!😭❤️
elisha howard oh no, is it okay?
Oww
omggg I didn’t think about that 😪
Damnnn that hurts
THE WAY I FELT THE FEEL THE PAIN WHILE READING THIS ouuchh
I love how this guy knows his ‘facts’ abt piercing yet he has none himself 😂😂
They are facts. He's a piercer so he knows from his client's experiences. You don't always need to have something to knows what's good or right.
He's a piercer tho
Why are you watching if u dont care about what he says?
bruh he’s a piercer
Ayo. We have the same profile picture
Sending love to everyone during these hard times ❤️
Thanks Rosy, sending love and health back to you xx
Back at ya. (Jan Griffiths).

This made me smile! Thanks and right back at ya!!!
I started to clean my piercing in the shower with Sea salt soap with no scent... works wonders even on my face
what brand

Damn I just got mine and it’s been the easiest piercing ever?! Getting it was literally a 1/10, (less painful than my lobes!!) and the healing has been amazing. I just have to be careful to not hit it when I put on my glasses lol
emmy zorn mine has been terrible. my worst piercings:(
Same!!!! My lobes hurt more, and I got it a day before! They said my upper ear was thin so I think I got lucky!
I think some people have thicker cartilage (mine also didn’t hurt at all.) not to mention those saying they did it themselves, which is a horrible idea and might have been the cause of some pain.
Mines was exactly the same no pain whatsoever. However when I clean it its sore.
My piercer told me my cartilage was wayyy thicker than most people’s cartilage, and that it will probably hurt a lot, but it honestly wasn’t that bad, still worse than my lobes but not higher than 3,5/4 on a scale of 10
I think you guys should judge subscribers piercings and how they style them, and do it just like you di with the celebrities, that would be a really cool idea. Mainly because I have a lot.
That would be cool!!! I have quite a few myself (27), and would gladly submit a few pics. (Jan Griffiths).
Yes!
Oh yeah :)))))
YES
I got my industrial piercing done about 7 months ago. And it's a pain in the ass, but still love my piercing. Sleeping for me is not so much of a problem. The problem for me is my hair getting cought in it... That is the most annoying thing.
Wear a hair clip or two. (Jan Griffiths).
I shaved an undercut and wore high updo hairstyles! The industrial is a bitch to heal but totally worth it long term!
I love my industrial! 8/9 will be 2 years for me. I also got my conch pierced shortly after and live it too. I want my double helix on my left ear done as soon as my piercer open back up.
Laughing so hard at this😂and sadly rethinking getting a piercing...
i got my helix a month ago and it doesn’t hurt anymore🤷🏼♀️ but when it did that travel pillow came in clutch
I have a helix an it took about one year and two months to heal, I was super careful with it and after healing it never hurted again and now I've 3 years with it and I love it!!!
Loved this. This was so necessary at midnight. Thank you!
I got my helix pierced last may. How do I know when its fully healed
When the swelling in the cartilage is gone, 2+ years
when its not sore anymore
My helix was pierced with a stud about 8 months ago and it has been flaring up ever since. I just changed to a fixed bead hoop yesterday, so hopefully it will be better. The post was really skinny and the hoop is a 16g so the piercing feels new ago but with way less pain.
Went in to get an industrial done, and ended up being talked into a helix because my ears weren't viable for what I originally wanted.
I was riding a confidence high, and therefore not thinking clearly, and decided getting both would be badass.
I think my piercer thought I knew what I was getting into because I have a few other none ear piercings, so she didn't stress how rough getting both at once was going to be.
The day i got them I went to scratch my ear like a dog would (it was super itchy) and the pain about nearly brought me to my knees.
Today is day 3, and man do I have a long year ahead of me.
update?
its been a year now…how is it ? 😅
considering getting a double helix too
@@kimberlygomez130 My right side is great no problems. Left side swells occasionally but nothing some extra cleaning doesn't handle.
Only thing is be careful if you use a pick on your hair... It's gotten caught on the piercing and tugged a little (No bueno!).
Mine healed in about 3 months and I changed it to a ring and can sleep on it with no problem. I can wear over the ear headphones too.
I had my double helix piercing in one go when I was 16. I’m 20 now and I absolutely love them.
Yeah the healing took some time but once it’s fully healed they’re like a normal earring and I barely feel them. Trust me guys this one is worth it.
BTW, I’m considering getting a conch, someone wants to give me advice on how to handle it?
I got a conch piercing 3 weeks ago and on a pain scale from 1-10, I would rate it a 5. It wasn’t super painful and the pain was manageable. It’s funny because it hurt more when the piercer was trying to screw on the back piece to the earring more than the needle going in my ear. It was totally worth it. It hurts for a couple of seconds once the needle goes in but then immediately your ear starts to feel hot and that hot feeling numbs the pain. Hours later is when you’ll feel it hurting a bit and it’ll feel sore but it’s less painful than when the needle went in. If you do get the conch piercing, make sure to clean it with saline solution 2 times a day (morning and before bed), don’t swim in any body of water or pool until it fully heals, don’t sleep on it, avoid touching it, and if you will touch it wash your hands before and very important to get a stud for the very first time that you get it pierced because if you get a hoop blood and crusties can get stuck in the piercing since the hoop is curved and you won’t be able to clean it out. The conch piercing is definitely worth it. Hope this helped!
If my new helix piercing jewelry is 16g and I want it to heal at 18g, when is it safe to switch to a smaller gauge stud?
I got my double helix done at the same time when I was 14 and it’s pretty much healed now - I’ve had it 7 months. I got it done with a gun which people say is bad but mine healed perfectly anyways it meant I had to get studs but I initially wanted hoops. Let me tell you the first time taking it out then trying to put small CONTINUOUS hoops in hurts like hell and I COULD NOT do the back so I definitely recommend hoops but with a stud back!!!! (not necessarily made for helix but worked for me aha)
I hope I did the right thing and changed my heilx jewelry before it healed because it was getting infected and was bad because I had a hoop. I changed it to a stud and it seems to be better now.
I have a triple forward helix and literally shaved that part of my head in anticipation because of how awful it is when hair gets wrapped on piercings!
Love your content!
I love this! 😭😭 I shaved my whole head when I got my conch piercings just because I didn’t want products getting into it and my hair is curly and would always get caught on my lobe piercings so i knew for a fact it would get stuck on my conch piercings 😂😂 i will do anything for my piercings to heal with no problems 😂
well- 👁👄👁 i was just about to impulsively pierce my own helix then you brought up the sleeping and headphone thing
*i sleep on my sides and wear over-the-ear headphones everyday* 😭

i "might" still do it because ummm.. ✨crisis✨
Did u?
Let us know hahah
sooo what happened. Hope you got them done at a legit piercer instead XD
I've had my industrial piercing for 8 months now, at first it didn't bother me at all. But recently, I've been tossing and turning in my sleep, and I wake up laying on my pierced ear in the morning at it HURTS. Also, I'm still at work right now and employees are required to wear masks. The straps are rubbing up against my industrial bar, by the end of my shift, it was swollen. Debating whether I should take it out, but I love the look of it so much 😭
I thought because my hair is short it wouldn't be an issue with it getting caught on my new helix piercing...I was dead wrong🤦🏾♀️ I still love my piercing though😍
can you help me out? i got a bar piercing and even when i’m not sleeping my bar digs into my skin and it makes a cut through my skins. what do it do
I literally had none of these problems with my helix. You just have to be aware of it and you’ll learn to avoid these problems. It’s super easy. Like sleeping on a neck pillow and putting your ear in the hole so you’re not putting pressure on the piercing
I did my first helix at position number 2 in Dec 3rd. It gave me no problems so I went and did my second helix at position number 3. No regrets. I am so in love with both piercings. I think I might be lucky coz after two weeks, I barely feel any irritation or pain. But yes, being patient is key as well as leaving them the f**k alone 🤣 P/S: I got them at Lovisa and they used Studex method, similar to gun but it’s kinda like a stapler.
I've had mine for probably about 2 months or so. time flew by so fast. i really don't have any problems with it. i can sleep on that side no problem, it doesnt get crusty or gross and it only hurt quite a bit for the first few days and it still hurt for like the first few weeks but now im i dont get it tugged it doesnt hurt and i dont even feel it.
I got my first helix when I was like 8 and didn’t know what I was doing and it took forever to heal (I got it with a gun, like I said I didn’t know back then) last November I got a double helix done and they were my easiest. I learned about how to take care of them so long ago so I did it right. I had to change them after like 2 months to clear hoops for sports but I still never had a single issue with them and they hardly hurt after the initial piercing. My rook on the other hand has been bad. It hurt so much to get and I got a bump on it. But it also healed quickly just hurt for a lot longer. It’s now been nearly four months and I haven’t had any pain and my bump went away
8!??!
I already went through one helix piercing infection and was prescribed an oral antibiotic. a few weeks later it seems to be all puffy and red AGAIN 😩 which sucks because I only got my piercing over 2 months ago. And it really sucks because lulu’s is closed from the quarantine 🥺I really hope I won’t have to take it out once the shelter in place order is over
Could I use over the ear beats instead of on the ear beats? Right now I have bead rings in, will it still not work?
I've had mine pierced for a few years now and didnt realize that's the proper term. Thanks :)
So I can never sleep on the side of my piercing even I’m when it’s fully healed? I have beats and two helix piercings on my left ear, can I ever use them again on both ears when it’s fully healed?
So I have a helix and an industrial bar piercing I got them in march and if everything blows over by July I’m going to Las Vegas would it be safe to go swimming or should I at least avoid submerging my head underwater also how long should I wait before I dye my hair (it will involve me bleaching it)
I am thinking of getting my helix done soon so this video has help thanks
I went to get the flat near the helix done after watching your video's with the 3 cluster flower so nice. But instead to make it stand out and blend with my other ones we went in the anti helix or stem. The prominent cartridge before the flat. Looks great. But easy to bump. So far so good looks great with the triple gem.
I know that you should sleep on the opposite side of where you got your helix piercing but do u do that just until it fully heals or is it like an all the time type of thing where even when it’s healed you shouldn’t sleep on the side with the piercing? Wondering because I want one but I am a little bit confused about this.
i have terrible piercing bumps (bc i just got it done a month ago) and im wearing butterfly backing. can i change my jewelry though? help
Can someone give me tips on how to hide my helix piercing? I have one on each ear and I’ve had them for 2 weeks they’re healing good but my teacher found out and is forcing me to take them out. Can I switch to bioflex this early or no?
I had my helix piercing done 5 months ago and I’ve already changed it and it’s totally fine, I wear headphones and I sleep on it and it doesn’t hurt. I’ve never had any infected piercings. Maybe I just heal quickly?
P.S I also got mine first pierced and had a ring not a stud
I just pierced my helix and I've been wearing my headphones no problem it hasn't swelled yet and only hurt when someone bonked it on a trampoline been cleaning with saline nasal spray twice a day
"Shower is okay, please shower" was my limit🤣
I've had two helix piercings for a few months now, they're all healed (🥳) and I haven't had any of these problems with them? It's funny how different people experience different things.
I have a double helix on my right ear with a horseshoe ring through both to make an orbital. I got them a few years apart and the second one is a little over a year now. I haven't had many issues with either of them just when I do sleep on my right side and don't wake up because my hip is screaming in pain from laying on it they do get a little tender and I have to baby them but overall I actually love them!
i waited for my cartilage piercing to stop feeling irritated to the touch when cleaning to change out my jewelry idk if that was just me though with consistent cleaning after.
I have a question.. so I’m thinking about getting a helix piercing, shlould I? And I am a swimmer will that be a problem? Can you still shower but not swim is that what you where saying?
Can you get a double helix but not at the same time? Like I have the helix but now I want a double.
I didn’t switch mine till 3 months after to a heart and i love it
I want get my helix piercing but I am a swimming so how long would I HAVE TO be out of the water??? Please respond
I done my own helix piercing one month ago and made the mistake of using cheap jewellery. I want to change it to a high quality earning but everyone advises that I wait at least 3 months. I don’t want to wait that long because I’m afraid of the stud rusting and causing problems, what can i do?
I had recently gotten my double helix at the time that I also broke my thumb so had to go in for a MRI scan not knowing that my jewelry was permanent and mri safe my dad tried to take it out nearly ripping the entire backing out through the front of my ear :) this was a while ago and it’s still messed up.
I got my helix piercing february 29 and it’s fully healed with no issues. i’m still going to wait the 6 months to change it but idk why everyone has so many issues
I got my helix done today with a gun (I know I know) and she told me to change to a hoop in 5 to 6 weeks.... WHAT. But anyway I got my helix done with your standard small circle butterfly back piercing. How long should I wait to change to a labret?
wait why is a gun bad i really want to get it done but i want to do it right
This is why I am glad that I got jewelry I liked in my helix piercing.
I never had any problems with mine, the first night when I couldn't sleep on that side but I just dealed with it and went to sleep.
i have a question if someone could help me-- should i get a double helix piercing on one ear or both?
Im a side sleeper so my helix piercing gets squashed alot. I try not to sleep in it, really try, but sh*t happens. I then have a sore piercing afterwards. My helix has flare ups 3+ years after i got it. It is a fussy piercing. But i love it anyway. Love from a UK fan😃
How do you wash your hair with a helix piercing? I’m scared of getting hair products in it
I got a helix piercing 3 day back and I couldn't sleep properly but today (3rd day)it is not that bad I love it
it took my helix a year to heal because im in dance and the hairspray & the bandaid kept irritating it, also it was with a piercing kiosk in a mall and they used a gun :( it’s fine now and i love it!!
So I’m thinking of getting one, should I ? I am a swimmer will that be a problem? And was he saying that you can shower but not swim ? So you can’t like keep it in water also how would you dry the area?
Swimming in water other people swim in is way different than a shower.
So I du jujitsu and really want a triple helix done…how long before I can get back to jujitsu class once my helix is done?
I got the helix piercing 5 months ago and My sleep was all screwed i felt like i wouldn’t even sleep at all next thing I noticed my piercings came off i wish I knew to only place it on 1 ear because both sides were painful to sleep on
I don't change any jewelry until it no longer hurts. Got my tragus done in Feb and it's still healing so I can't change it to the cute jewelry I got for it yet. I also notice my body doesn't seem to like any cartilage piercings 😂 takes forever to heal them.
I am a swimmer and the last note caught me- my parents would be furious 💀💀
Does it hurt it or irritate it
i’m also a swimmer, is it fine to swim with it or does a swim cap irritate it?
It took 2 years for my conch to completly heal, that means not getting red and swelled from time to time. I have it since 4 years now and i still did not change the jewelry yet.
I'm 13 and I'm getting a helix piercing but I'm so nervous and does it hurt alot ?
I got my helix about 2months ago then i did a second one next to it a month ago. I can relate so hard to this video 💯. Please give us some more healing tips if you have any. I made a mistake and changed out the newest ones.. i regret that so much right now.
i’m a horse rider and we wear helmets (doesn’t really touch our ears) so as long as you’re careful taking it off, it’s fine! i once hit my helmet strap on my fresh rook piercing and that was not fun! luckily my ears aren’t sensitive and my piercings don’t easily swell and get irritated so it was all good. but hair in the helix piercing is THE WORST. i’ve had mine almost 2 years and i have a ring in it now and today i got a bunch of hair caught in the ring in the shower and after i took the hair out, i put the ring back in (it’s the lulus white opal ring) so i went to twist it back and my finger slipped and cracked the opal😪 luckily i just ordered a new one though!
I also ride and am worried about my helmet. I heard putting a bandana over your piercing helps. I think I might try and see if this works with my helmet.
Should I be cleaning it for up to 6-12 month (until it heals).????
They were a pain during healing. I've had them for a few years now and I can sleep on them if something small is in them. They're my favorite piercing.
I'm watching this as a dual side sleeper with piercings on both ears lol. I loved my snug but that one I could really not go through with. I constantly slept on my side and woke up with a throbbing pain and constant bumps around it, even with proper care. So sad and unfair!
Yeah! you'll get used to it at some point best of luck to you^^ it definitely is one of the best feelings once it's fully healed and finally can replace the earring.
I only caught my helix piercings on coats hanging on doors, never had the problem of sleeping on it and I sleep on both sides.
I went to a professional piercing place, but the guy I got was slack he did not tell me how long I had to wait for it to heal, but luckily for me I only changed the piercing when my ear started to hate the metal of the original one, I am sensitive and I am sure it was in there for two years before I got my new one.
You forgot to say how expensive and hard it is to find helix jewellery if you are sensitive you cannot just buy anything for it.
Omg I got mine done today and I went to wash it and found it sooo hard to do it hurt ad my hair got caught in it a lot so I plan to just wear a pony tail for like the whole time
I just got my 2 helix piercing yesterday! Lobe them!!!!
i pierced it by myself last week and i’ll say that it’s the most painful piercing to heal
alia agreed
Damn but helix piercing looks the best ya know
It doesn't matter what piercing I get, or where I get a tattoo. I always get both when it's too cold to swim. That way I don't have to worry about the chlorine doing bad shit to them.
I just dont swim lol. Hate swimming.
It took me two years before I had no problems with the double helix anymore.
Used have piercing bumps or irritation.
Now I tend to forget I have them.
I always laugh when people say "get it pierced on the side you don't sleep on"
I have piercings on both sides (14 total) and I have never thought "oh damn can't get it cause I side sleep" I think "Kay so 6 months is gonna suck but then it's all good"
I know legit no one who didn't get a piercing on one ear where they wanted it because they side sleep, such weird advice imo 🤣
i've had my helix for over a year and it suddenly started to hurt and it got swollen checked around it nothing. few weeks later its gone like it never happend
I took out my rook jewellery after only 1 month, but only because it was a hoop and it wasn’t pretty and was giving me piercing bumps, around just one week after changing to a curved barbell the swelling went down and it’s easier to clean and just looks better
I got my cartilage piercing done and i definitely regret not reading about it before getting it because now I can’t sleep on that side and because it does take a while to heal
because i’m in the hospital a lot with picc lines my body adjusted to not sleeping on an injured side
I made the noob choice of getting my both my helix done with hoops 3 weeks ago, should I go to a professional piercer and get them changed to bars out should I leave them?
Did u leave them in? I wanna get double hoops but I keep hearing not to- 😭
Trap yeah, I went and saw someone and they said for now to leave them in and keep a close eye on them. Wait the cursory 6-9 months then see someone to change them out.
The general consensus is helix-have them originally done with the labrets waiting out the healing period, then change to hoops.
Sezzadore - thanks
... I got my helix done about a month ago. It felt healed a week after I got it and i so far haven’t had problems 🤷♀️ It never hurt and feels like a healed piercing to me.
Is your upper ear thin? Mine is and I feel like mine will take shorter to heal?
Lauren, I’m not sure if it’s super thin lol... I think it depends on how your body heals and how you take care of it. Good luck!
does a conch piercing heal better than helix? i had a helix, it was a nightmare to heal. so afraid to get the conch cause of the bad experience with helix
hy cee my helix was a nightmare to heal too. even though I have it longer than a year, it’s still making problems. my conch is half year old and the healing process is much better, it doesn’t get irritated as easily as helix and feel like it’s already better healed than my old helix or forward helix xx
I have got a double helix in January and only ride a motorcycle (with a helmet ofc)! Just gotta be careful when putting on the helmet and taking it off, my hair helps act as a cushion so my helmet never comes into contact with it directly, and oftentimes I wear a balaclava under the helmet too and that works as even more cushion. Doesn't hurt or get irritated even after long rides! :D
I was wanting to get my helix done and now you've put me off! Could you please do a video on 5 reasons, or more, why you love it xx
Kirsty Macfarlane just do it!! i got mine late last year, its healing rn but i LOVE it so much!! didn't regret one bit
@@shermaynelim9665 thanks, is it better to go with a stud rather than a ring? I'd prefer a ring but I'm prepared to wait until it's healed before I change it!
Kirsty Macfarlane Kirsty Macfarlane I got a double helix last october and initially wanted to get rings for both. My piercer didn’t recommend it, he said something about the jewelry rotating could cause problems if not cleaned properly. I ended up getting flat back studs and planning on getting them changed later.
Kirsty Macfarlane i personally prefer the ring look and also the stud can be annoying if ur hair is all over the place
Kirsty Macfarlane definitely have it pierced with a stud! you don’t want the hole to be curved because it adds pressure in the middle and sides, and it is much more likely to catch on a ring :)
My 2nd cartilage piercing did healed very good. When I got it and it didn’t even hurt. I said it was liked butter when I got it pierced. That was in late July 2021. My 1st cartilage piercing was done in late May 1999. That one was painful and it was done by a gun at Claire’s at that time. My sister had hers redone before I got it. I was a little bit nervous when I was getting it done. I was so lucky that the cartridge didn’t shattered or get really infected. It did got a little bit infected but, it did heal.
Thanks for sharing l!!
Yesterday I did Helix piercing for first time, and still managed to sleep properly at night on both sides
If only I had known all of this before getting an industrial piercing 😂😂😂
Is it bad that, it doesnt hurt when when I sleep on it- I got it like 14 march-
Use a donut travel pillow. They are a godsend, believe me. (Jan Griffiths).
@@douglasgriffiths3534 I tried but..somehow when I wake up the pillow is on the floor-
I love all of my cartilage piercings---11 in all, between both ears. They are all at 16 gauge, except for my tragus piercings and conch at 14 gauge. They are over 25 years old. I really don't remember them causing any real problems during healing, and I did use a travel donut pillow for sleeping. I wear either labret studs or hinged seamless rings (titanium only, various colors) in them, and I like to mix it up---I hardly ever wear anything matching. (Jan Griffiths).
Douglas Griffiths hi any advice on a tragus piercing ? Change mines out after 2years now it’s been swollen for 2-3 weeks now. I purchased the jewelry from them I have no idea what it made out of 😩
@@msshay7625 Email them and ask what the composition is. Also, I wear nothing but titanium (colored) in my piercings. You could be having a reaction. Try putting your original jewelry back in and see if that helps. Are they hoops or studs? (Jan Griffiths).
