Another tip before getting your ear pierced that I didn’t hear him mention. This is in general for all piercings and not just helix. Please eat before coming to get pierced. I made the mistake when getting my second helix done a few months back of not eating. I almost passed out because my blood sugar was too low. They had to give me a lollipop, cold ice compress in my neck, and water to prevent me from completely going out.
So, please please...eat something before getting pierced.

No, it is because your body needs the blood sugar to go thru piercing. If you are low in sugar, then your body will pass out.
Yes I completely agree, this has happened to me before when I got my industrial piercing. I know never to make that mistake again!!

I’ve never wanted to sleep on my right side more until I got my helix pierced on that side.
I got both my sides helix peirced on the same day. I know stupid 😂😂😂
I sleep on either side, and never know if I'll wake up on my right or left side (although I sleep on my left side more often than the right).
😑 this was default information with any piercings you get.

Here's one for double helix piercings, if your ear cartilage is super sensitive like mine are, don't get the double done. Do one, wait, do the other. Cause for me that turned the pain from a 8/10 to a 30/10. And next week getting my septum pierced.
One good tip for a helix piecing! All the others was just things you should know for all piercings!

had my double helix pierced for a little over 3 months now and it has been so good to me. i have only snagged it once and that was a pain and when hair gets caught around it it’s annoying, however other than that it’s beautiful and i can’t wait to change my jewelry to hoops.

@@divinee4330 I use a travel pillow for it. You can just lay your head on it with your ear in the hole so you don't put any pressure on your new piercing. It's actually suprisingly comfortable to sleep on! :)
I have a helix i had such a finicky pircing i follwed all tge rules and it got infected but i was lucky ans did the salt water thing and it is all healed now
I just found you guys and subscribed with the bell love you guys videos I recently just got into piercings I now have 15 new ones and had to look up how to clean them because my tattoo/ piercing tech didn't tell me any way love the videos keep them coming

I’ve had my helix pierced for about two weeks and it occasionally feels warm is that normal? It’s not swollen there isn’t any pain.
I’ve only ever experienced one piercing (had my lobes done at a young age) and I had my helix pierced with a gun which I know isn’t good but at the time I didn’t know. However I never had any issues with the piercing and overall it was a good experience considering I have a very low pain tolerance and a fear of needles.. tomorrow I’m getting my second helix done however this time with a needle and I’m really nervous so I’ve been watching loads of online videos and yours have been so informative and comforting to see others having theirs done. I’m hoping that all will go well tomorrow
I had a helix piercing for 1 year, but I had to take it out becasue apparently I sleep with my head all over the place. It never really healed.
TomteNisse - so it can take over a year to fully heal?
@@dancingdivazriooo It can definitely take up to a year for cartilage piercings to heal. I've had mine for just over a year now. It definitely doesn't hurt much anymore, but it still gets sensitive and I try to not sleep on it :)

I had mine pierced at a tattoo shop and loved it but it got infected even though I washed it 3 times a day

It probably got infected because you washed it so much. You stripped away the good bacteria as well as the bad, so it was more vulnerable when worse bacteria came around. If you get another piercing wash it when you wake up and before you go to bed with salt water, then don't touch it at all throughout the day.
(Note: I am not a piercer and you should do your own in depth research rather than trust a random internet person lmao)

I had mine pierced for years! Even after a decade it still hurt so I was finally like just forget it & took it out. However, I have had my tregus pierced for probably 15 years and it's never given me trouble. I wonder if having my helix pierced with a gun was what the problem was?
Thanks for that info- good to know. I'm only a week out from helix piercing, but dang after five spinal surgeries I thought it wouldn't hurt me this much. I got it done w a gun also.🤨

I got my nostril done on 6/14, and from my experience, cartilage piercings hurt like hell. If someone says they're painless, they're clearly lying to you.
This video looked better in the millisecond before the color correction kicked it, he just looks orange.

How long does a helix piercing normally take to heal on average, and if the healing time is longer than average then what’s the longest time it can take to fully heal? How can you tell if a piercing is fully healed?
Helix takes 6 months to a year to heal

@@dancingdivazriooo Yes, but very rarely is that the case. Usually only happens if you take bad care of it. The better the care, the faster it will heal.
Okay. These videos would be really great, but there are a few problems. The audio on this one and the last one of these videos was not up to par. You can really tell when you compare the intro music to the actual content. There was a lot of background noise along with that. This brother also does not speak clearly or slowly enough to really be understood. On the regular vlogs, it usually isn't a problem unless he's really rattling something off because the camera is right up on his mouth, but like this .... it doesn't work. This has the potential to be a great series. Just needs a little tweaking!
Also -- the background music really exacerbated the audio problems.

Im not sure why you shouldn't get it done if you're high, but if you're drunk then you'll bleed a lot
