After watching your video I had to try this. It was a very simple stamp but it worked! I decided to make the cut out to fit the stamp. I cut on 12 and then stamped the image. It looked like great job of fussy cutting. Going to try it again today on a detailed stamp. I enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas!
I haven't got many stamps as I don't like stamping much but, now! You have opened up so many new ideas! I have to do the offset in Inkscape as I don't have Silhouette but it is just about the same method. You are so clever! My ideas are running riot now. How about infusible ink! That will be fantastic. Thank you so much.
I can't justify the expense of a Scan N Cut just to fussy cut stamps so I am trying all the YT suggestions I find. I see you noticed the similarity to Inkscape, which is free - so you just confirmed that I can't justify buying this program either. Off to flex my inkscape muscles and wrestle it into submission.
New subbie n gotta say i dig the way ir laying out all this info. For us Big help thanx! Btw my moms name R.I.P. is also Patricia ann n we called her patty lol
Stamp on white card then scan into the computer will work just as good. I found out how to cut the outline then use my stamp an stamp on top ,instead of my computer ink. Its cool an easy too.
@@PattyAnnesPlace Now I wonder if I could use the pdf scanner on my phone. I'm not sure how it works yet as I haven't used it but it is time to experiment!
I'm a little confused are you saying I can design in silhouette studio...the free version...and import into Cricut for cutting? Does that only work for SVG files?
Apparently my printer does not scan at high enough resolution to achieve high qualityprints. my printers scan options for dpi are 50-100-1200. 1200 dpi would be too high to scan die cuts in one at a time into a windows pc wouldn't it? The resolution on my scanner is set on 100 dpi. Do You know how I can solve this problem? I am doing my best to learn the silhouette software business edition. I am waiting on my silhouette cameo 4 pro its been on back order for two months. I want to hit the road running when the machine gets here. PLEASE HELP ME. I watch your videos often to learn the ropes, help is much appreciated... Thank You!!!
@@PattyAnnesPlace Honestly I’m not sure for some reason silhouette business runs horribly slow on my pc. It has the specs silhouette listed. Even took my pc in, came back with same slow response. Thus haven’t really attempted scanning stamped or cut designs in again. No money for new computer system. Who knows in the future. Can’t keep paying for a fix with no results either. Makes it somewhat difficult to learn new software like this. Thank you for replying…
PattyAnne, when I try to use this function with the 'auto apply' unchecked it doesn't cut correctly once I've finished outlining the image. If I keep the auto apply on it works fine. Do you know what would cause that? I haven't worked with the program that much because I finishing up mini albums but I want to start.
Hi Linda! I have two links below the video. the free one is the one you get first and then you upgrade it to the silhouette business edition if you are using it for Cricut. You don’t need that addition if you have a cameo. Yes! You should be able to use this technique for all of your stamps.
Hi Meredith! I’ve been trying to upload a video for you in our Facebook group where you asked this question. For some reason it won’t upload but I’ll keep trying so watch there for something that may help.
Did any one else find that manual apply doesn't work. If I leave it on auto apply then, shazam, it completes the crop but double clicking without auto apply just leaves a weird red polygon.
Okay, I figured it out. In another video you suggested setting preferences to switching back to select as soon as the tool has been used. In this case, that means that I couldn't use the tool effectively. Now I've set the tool default for Knife to stay on the tool and all is working as it should!

Incredible! This is just exactly what I’ve been looking for!!! Finally!! THANK YOU!!!
Glad it helped!
So I keep waiting for the resizing to fit the actual stamp, but in stead you are printing the images and even resizing? Is this legal 😬
It's much easier to scan the index sheet of the stamps at 100% than to fluff around with taking photos, always works for me.

Great video! I have a lot of stamps and am not fond of fussy cutting, this is perfect!
Thanks!!! I agree about the fussy cutting LOL

I love this what an adorable card! And an amazing video!
I love your videos! Little things= metal cutting dies. lol.
Thanks Cheryl!
Great video, you teach us so much. Do you think you could scan the stamps instead of taking the picture and achieve the same results?
Whoa!!! Great idea. I probably wouldn’t scan the stamp but you could certainly scan the sheet that I was using I would guess!!
@@PattyAnnesPlace thank you

I always use the business addition when designing things for my CRICUT machine.

Gosh, Meredith, I am not sure. I will have to try to figure it out.
Do I have to have a previous SILHOUETTE edition before I buy the Business edition? Can I do this with all my stamps?

When I try to double click after drawing around the image the knife won't release, is there something I'm missing?

Just a thought.. could you not move your cursor around really fast. Lol I get a little dizzy. My husband says that isn't anything new. LOL
