Made a few of your excellent dishes from this channel, this was my absolute favourite! I blitzed the sauce with my hand blender at the very end to make it even creamier, but other than that wouldn't change a thing, it was amazingly delicious! Thank you!

Hey!! I have a Korean fusion dish I started making myself, that is super delicious! It's an Indian Korean pancake, with all the vegetables you choose (I use carrot, potato, onion, garlic, ginger, cabbage, chilis) and add all the spices you would add to curry in it (kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin, clove, cardamom, etc) as well as your binders of flour, corn starch, and panko and fry it low and slow!! I think you will love it, good for freezing portions for later!

I have tried kimchi and loved it so much I have been adding it to a lot of recipes over the years. Last year I had a jar of it that was about to reach it's use by date so I decided to make a pasta sauce (😮 but I'm Italian 😂)
Pork belly, kimchi, passata and chestnut mushrooms. I used penne rigate, i only use rigatoni when I'm stuffing them for an oven recipe.

i'm with you on the carb avoidance...i've been working on a "notbokki" recipe, and another commenter had mentioned that diagonal sliced king oyster mushroom is a little like tteok, and enoki mushrooms are a bit like noodles. and in the US, they've been marketing zoodles (spiralized zucchini reminiscent of noodles) and when i was on Atkins years ago, i subbed out my pasta for spaghetti squash. you could probably make a keto friendly(er) dish by coming up with a veggie and protein combo = 250g (maybe 150g sliced tteok mushroom + 100g shrimps or sliced sausage, or maybe 150g zoodles + 100g chickpea pasta) or just make the sauce to serve over steamed broccoli. good luck on your good health!

Okay so I made it, and it's gonna be one of my staple show-off dishes going forward. Holy smokes it's soooo goooood.
One tip, if I may - if you don't have access to well-fermented kimchi (I always eat mine before it gets to that stage 😔), I suggest just adding some raw, uncooked kimchi to the pan at the very end of the process. It really brightens the dish and brings the kimchi flavour right back up.

How about trying our Hoe Deopbap (Korean-style poke bowl)? Or cook it with our homemade teriyaki sauce? I’m sure they would be fantastic! 😁🙌

This looks wonderful. I will have to give it a try. If I am feeding it to my brother though I will have to run the veggies through a blender or food processor after cooking because he hates onions and I don't know if he will eat kimchi😞. So better to disguise them. I will let you know how that goes. Speaking of fusion food we just had a new Korean/Mexican restaurant open up here in Detroit😮. When I get t o go there I will let you know how it is😁. Both you and Claire have a great day❤.

Do you guys have a guide with your personal recommendations of restaurants in Seoul?
Despite having lived in Seoul for 3 years, I'm bringing my gf to visit the city for the first time and I'm not sure I will be able to bring her to the best restaurants, for each dish.
And I trust your recommendations haha 😅 I'm sure many would too.

    Interesting!! 😋
I've actually been doing something the other way around lately. I take a packet of Samyang Buldak cheese flavoured ramyun and make a tomato sauce made of fresh roma tomatoes and a bunch of other things. So the noodles kind of become spaghetti.

This dish was delicious but I felt it was lacking spiciness and garlic so I added chili and garlic when I reheated it the next day. Perfection.
