When I saw a video clip of her playing the drums in the band with the Honeycombs playing Have I the right, so nailed it good when she played the drums. Her talent live on. We love love HONEY. Rest in peace.

I believe Honey was a pioneer for many women in the music industry , very bold and fearless and I admired that about her. This was a very kind tribute my friend, I’m going to check more of the Honeycombs music out. RIP Honey 🍯❤️🐝

@HarmonyHeartsLifestyle-ul5yv for sure listening to loads of 60s nowadays. I know you don't like to fire all your big guns at once. I noticed Elvis Presley would be a shot of big ammo out the armoury♡

@@evileyes4070 Would love to do Elvis but he has been covered by so many thousands I don't know if anyone would be interested? 🤔 I adore that man and still listen to his music and watch his movies often 🥰 Sounds like you are a fan too? 😃

@HarmonyHeartsLifestyle-ul5yv never a day passes I don't play Elvis. Just a suggestion. Not just pensioners listening to the King. Foolish flogging a dead horse maybe

My cousin was drummer for The Runaways in the mid-60s and he taught me drums at age 7. I remember being blown away by Honey's drumming on "Have I the right". She was wonderful.

So sad about Honey , full of life and
    inspiration clearly much loved and
rightly so , but she tasted glory so
    some consolation .

I remember listening to Have I the Right on an older workmates car radio when it came out, what a great sound and brilliant melody.
I always said that after that, when I started to drive I would have a car with a radio! Well done on this story, brilliant as always! Thanks Honey and RIP.

When the first wave of the British invasion hit the US on American TV , we saw the first lady rocker , it was new and different. Honey is a pioneer. Early history in rock. Have i is a classic song.

One of the pictures actually shows a late sixties incarnation with new members, or the New Honeycombs, with lead guitarist/ singer Colin Boyd. Honey was still on drums and also singing. They made one one of their best singles with “That Loving Feeling”. Could have been one of Joe Meeks last productions.

Oh wow! I’ve been listening to this group and wondering about this lady. She was great, she and Karen Carpenter broke the mould for drummers back then. Fabulous tribute my friend, you are going from strength to strength🙌❤️

I used to drink in the Mildmay Tavern in the 1970's. Pathway Studios were just around the corner in Grosvenor Avenue where various artists on the Stiff Label recorded. I played pool in the pub with members of the Motors, Wreckless Eric and one Declan McManus better known as Elvis Costello!

I always liked the song Have I The Right. Honey also set the pace for Gina Schock (Go Go's), Debbi Peterson (Bangles), and Karen Bassett (Pandoras). While I'm here I'm in Los Angeles and DODGERS !!!!! The rest of the country outside of The Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Upstate New York, and Northern New Jersey is celebrating as we crushed the hated Yankees.
