I won an autographed copy of their single This Year Next Year in 1966 after entering a competition in Wham!
I love the dark suits, white shirts and ties! The hair is also great, on the drummer as well as the guys. Come right back, I just can't bear it!
Have I the right 😁 to say these guys were great 👍😎
I went with my girlfriend to the Honeycombs performance at the Town Hall, in Wellington New Zealand in what must have been 1966/67 around then. Great fun. Their guitars fascinated me because they had these horns just like a Scarab Beetle. Latter I learned they were Burns guitars.
I LOVE THIS GROUP. LEAD SINGER IS SO HANDSOME. LOVE THE RHYTHM. GO! You have the right anytime.
Dave, Dee, Dozy, Mick and Tick ??? - I think you'll find that's "Tich" as in hitch :)
I was a ten or eleven year old N London kid at that time. I bought a 45 every week and contributed to their number one hit. My cousin and I used to sing and stomp along.
They broke up and were found in a Crunchie bar.
How could anyone with English as a first language not know that ‘Tich’ is not pronounced’Tick’. Well unless you are Gen Zoomers who seem to have an amazing ability to make mistakes like that all the time and think close enough is good enough.
Love the cool Burns guitars.
small correction tich of dave dee , dozy etc is pronounced tit-ch not tick!
How anyone who has English as a first language not know Tich is not pronounced’Tick’.
@@xr6lad No, the real reason is that this is not a human being, so it has NO language. It's a robotic voice.
Saw Dennis in a club here in Sydney in 2004 (?) doing a Neil Diamond tribute act.
It's Titch not Tick.
Im 58 and I just found out about the Honeycombs about 2 weeks. What a great band. So many great songs, Color Slide and Ive got to tell you something and 2 of my favorites.
Does anyone know where Honey Lantree is buried?
@@davepayne586Or ChatGPT which says this :
Honey Lantree, the drummer of the 1960s British band The Honeycombs, is buried at the City of London Cemetery and Crematorium in Newham, London, England.
"Tick"??? I thought it was "Titch"?
@@xr6lad Grief! I really must get a life when I comment on that kind of thing! lol
Didn’t realize they had a female drummer. Cool. Especially for that day and age!
I LOVE the beehive hairdo! Amy Winehouse emulated that style of hair and makeup.
@@ferociousgumbyHoney was much better looking. Both N London girls though.
You should use your own real voice and not this AI one.

Notice the miming!
"I Have The Right" was #5 in America? America is a continent. Just like Africa is a continent, not a country.
Not Tick ...... Titch
