- Jelena Ostapenko ended her impressive run in Dubai with a fifth career WTA singles title!
The Latvian defeated FOUR former Grand Slam champions on her way to the final, before beating Veronika Kudermetova in straight sets at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
There were also comeback wins from a set down against Iga Swiatek, Petra Kvitova, and Simona Halep.

Jelena Ostapenko played out of her mind. Her aggressive baseline play very reminiscent of Monica Seles and Mary Pierce. If Ostapenko can maintain the high level of play with low unforced errors, she's definitely a contender to win another slam. Ostapenko has got to work on her recovery after matches. Everyone on tour is amazingly in top form, so winning more slam titles will be no easy task. But if Ostapenko can recover after tough matches, there's no reason for her not to win more titles.

살 많이 올랐던데 다 근육이었나 봐. 파워가 장난 아님. 하지만 barty 만나면 통할런지.. 구석구석에 곶아 넣으면 살쪄서 못 따라 갈것 같음.
