- In this video I take my 2021 F150 to the drag strip to set a stock baseline (No mods). This upcoming summer I plan to modify the truck with a cold air intake, intercooler, cat-back exhaust and tune. Check back as I install the parts and go back to the track to improve on the 1/4 mile times.

I live in round lake, what mods are you considering, I torn between 5-star and Livernois tune
I'm in the same boat, but leaning toward Livernois. Cat-back, tune, intercooler and thinking CAI
Go 5 star don't do livernois for the tune
Did you have it in sport mode and did u foot brake it and bring the rpm up before launching?
@Oxman Garage I have 5 star . and love it. My truck is a 22 platinum and has a Cai, cat back exhaust vta blowoff value livernois intercooler and tunes from 5 star and it moves hard. I should be around 600 hp

I took a serious look at the limited version of this truck with the same motor. I also looked at a Limited Ram 1500 and chose the Ram considering it was nearly $2,400 cheaper and had the built in tool boxes and drove and rode so much better with the 4 way air suspension. Mine came with 3.92 limited slip gearing and ran a 14.35 stock. I decided to only do power mods that also improved fuel economy. I added a Pulsar tuner, Stainless Works long tube headers and catless quiet exhaust with a JLT Cold air kit. I was shocked at the difference. I have not gone back to the drag track since it is 3 hours away, but I have raced 3 different 3.5 Ecoboost F150s here in the town where I live. The one with a tune and CAI got me by 2 lengths. I got the two stock trucks by 5 lengths. I am hoping to see low 13s when I get back to the track. I am not going to do anything else to my truck except swap the heavy 22 inch premium wheels that came on the truck for some lighter and and shorter 20s with a friend.
Before I bought my truck, I shopped around and test drove a few Ram 1500s. They are really nice. My decision was based on fuel economy and the price at the time. Dodge makes good trucks.
@@Oxman_Garage I just ordered a Retrax bed cover for my truck and will be installing a stock set of 20 inch factory wheels next week. The tires have the same width as what came with the 22s, but they are full inch shorter and 14 pounds per wheel/tire lighter than the 22s. I am still shocked that the mods I made to this big heavy truck made as much difference as they did. I'm in the housing development business and drive lots of miles checking on my crews. I have 16 different DeWalt 20 volt power tools stored in my RamBoxes and chargers and spare batteries stored in the boxes in the rear seat floor. I still don't know how to fully use the giant size touch screen, but my girlfriend is much younger than me and she is trying to teach me. I love the dial shifter that is very intuitive and simple to use. It allows for tons of room in the console for my girlfriend to load with all the junk she does not need.
I think that Camaro was cheating with two extra cylinders and chromosomes. 😂 jk
