A Day at the Queens Building - Heathrow Airport 1987 - 1996) Part 2

More classic action from the legendary Queens Building at London Heathrow airport, filmed by my aviation friend Ian Austin during the period between 1987 & 1996.
Such an interesting mix of aircraft that we once had, one of note is the Dan Air BAC 1-11 lunchtime flight, which flew on weekdays to Inverness (and Manchester for a while too).
This video contains some vary rare footage making to UA-cam and includes Kuwait Airways Boeing 767-200 and EgyptAir Airbus A300-203 - I hope viewers appreciate the rare nature of this footage and also that the sands of time have not been kind in parts to the picture quality.

Once upon a time, going to the airport and flying to your destination was a fun, exciting, and enjoyable experience. It was actually something we looked forward to with anticipation!! 180° out of phase with the current commercial flight/airport experience. Thanks for the wonderful video my friend!

I wish I had visit the Queen's building in Heathrow (Originally called the Eastern Apex Building 1953 with rooftop viewing are after 1956). At least I visit the old Wembley stadium. UK does one mistake after another. Anyway.

I agree, Heathrow is now just 'another airport' the golden glow of the brickwork on a summer's evening is now sadly long gone. The airport owners have no real sense of historical preservation, it is (Heathrow) purely a money making machine.

I deduce that this one is put together from a few different years. We have A320s and Lufthansa's new livery at the beginning, and then Pan Am's back!
