Dreamstation is already a DC based machine. It comes with a converter (the brick) that is plugged into the wall. All you need for it to run on the back-up power supply is the respironics dc shielded cord (35$) and it plugs into the DC power port of the battery. A year or so ago I bought the rockpals battery that does not have the capacity of this new on you show, but it works great. I get about 4 nights out of it, no heated humidity and a setting of 10. I have the rockpal solar panel and it clips right into the solar connectors you show and works great and charges very quickly. All the circuitry is built into the power supply which makes it plug and play. I've used battery supply for my machines since 2007 and this set-up you are showing is by far the best way to go whether camping in tent or a RV. While traveling I plug it into the vehicle's power supply to charge it in between uses.

i just got the rockpals version of this, (exact same design and specs but red and black).
im using a DREAMSTATION.
im on my 4th night of using strictly with CPAP. my setting is at 7.5cm min with auto max at 15cm. most nights i average 8.0cm.
and im NOT using heater or humidifier.
the modem and bluetooth are still set to ON.
ALSO.....i AM using a DC cord (cigarette lighter plug) for this. i think the numbers would reflect MUCH differently using the standard adapter.
1st night - 9hrs 10 mins use. battery from 100% down to 85%
2nd night - 9hrs 51 mins use. battery from 85% down to 73%
3rd night - 9hrs 22 mins use. battery from 73% down to 61%
4th night - 9hrs 27 mins use. battery from 61% down to 49%
im VERY confident that with modem off, heater off, humidifier off, and heated tube off that i can get 6+ nights use, on 1 full charge.
which makes this a VERY cheap alternative to the pricier 500 watt size models.
I was just looking to replace my 4 year old Freedom CPAP batteries setup I had. I might have give this a try since I guess it can be plugged in and still used as the same time.

This looks pretty good. You have a ResMed there.. Aren't they 24v? If so, I'd guess there would be a step up transformer needed? What would be the difference in runtime between a 12 cpap vs a 24v cpap... all using your best figures??
The only big complaint I have with my Resmed unit is that it operates on 24 volts, which means you need the expensive adaptor when using power stations like the Baldr. Other CPAP units that operate on 12 volts and need an inexpensive cable with the proper plugs.

Hey, TheLankyLefty27, we got 2 Baldr330s with the "coupon" box and I was trying to spread the word down here in South Florida about the set up and now when I and the Newletter editor click your Amazon link the coupon box isnt there. Can you check and see if you can get it to work for the next few weeks cause I got a feeling there will be more sales. We got the 330 and the 120W Solar Cell and get a full charge Solar in 6 hours and only 25% use a night with no heat/water. We got 2 so we can Always Be Charging. This hurricane looks like a dud, but more will come. See if you can get the coupon link to work before I submit the How To to the guy here to spread the info. And Thanks for doing the homework for us. The FlashFish had to be returned and the Jackery one only goes 6 hours before it forces a cutoff so the BALDR was a find.
5:30 The Dreamstation actually has a straight cable, it doesn't require DC DC conversion.
Great video! 1 question; Did using the 12V 5A output (not cigarette barrel output) really power the Resmed Autosense well for use? I see that CPAP requires 10 amps, not just 5. I think it shuts off if it gets lower than 8.3 amps, hence must use the 12v 10 amp outlet? Thanks

How has this held up over the last year and a half? There are a lot of reviews that say it stops charging and bricks in at the 1 to 1.5 year mark.
I would say well, but I don’t think ours gets “heavy” use.

I purchased this for my Resmed Airsense 10 and it does not work. I have the DC adapter and plugged it directly into the socket. Help! What am I doing wrong?
My Baldr shuts itself off after 2 to 3 hours even though it has 75% + power remaining. How do you get it to stop shutting off and losing power to your device?
Is this while camping? If at home and using as an UPS I would just leave it plugged in. Not sure why it would be doing that if being used actively.

I don't know where else to go for help. I use the Philips Dreamstation, I want to hook it up to a battery. I have the $35 dollar adapter, also came with the car lighter receptacle with the alligator clips. The battery lI am using is fully charged, but it is not a deep cycle. I can't get the machine to run. It will start, the menu screen will come on, but will not start putting out air, then it shuts off. Any ideas for me?
How do you feel about the Jackery power station with the solar panels that you can use to charge it with? Ive heard people say good things about it, but it's pricy so I'm scared to commit. I'm in TX so I'm paranoid about my electric grid in case the power goes out for 2 days again.
I've never used it, but it looks like it would be great. This one has an input for solar panels as well. I really like this one. I just used the heck out of it on a recent vacation.

8:00 Cigarette lighter plugs are the worst. If was designing a power station, I'd put some Deans connectors on it for sure.
Did you time AC w/8c, of pressure and no heat or humidity?
I can't remember now....I think I did though. Whatever it was I think there was a 25% extra drop in power when AC was used, then just add whatever the percentage drop there was when humidity was used at the DC sampled rate. I remember this being linear.

Does this power station auto-shut off if the draw is under 10w after three hours? Jackery power stations do this and it a poor issue for cpap users. If this one does not, then it might be my best choice.
No, it didn't ever shut off for me while using CPAP on both DC and AC.

Yes, but not for CPAP. I have another battery that will be my next video coming out in the next few days. The Baldr is my favorite for this size.
Could you use the the 12 vault dc converter
You can but you might need a "clean sine" inverter as to not damage processor in the machine. And of course it will use a but if power so calculate accordingly
which DC converter did you use with this? I dont see it in the parts list above. I bought a rockpal converter and used it on the Baldr 330w and it didnt work!

Kudos for the Video clip! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered - Franaar Magic Dream Formula (should be on google have a look)? It is a good one of a kind guide for eradicating sleep apnea and snoring without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my friend after many years got excellent results with it.
