    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Rachel and her pup live and travel full time in this awesome truck/camper tiny home on wheels. Rachel began her tiny living journey living and traveling in her car. Living in her car taught her the basics of tiny living and eventually upgraded to her current setup.
When she was in high school, Rachel worked hard to travel overseas and fell in love with travel. After an overseas relationship ended, she lived and traveled in a Jeep back in the U.S.
After multiple truck campers, she invested in a truck camper from OEV. We see this all the time with tiny home dwellers. People will have a certain type of tiny home and upgrade depending on their tastes and needs. Honestly, the only way to know what your dream camper might be, you have to truly experience other options.
Rachel has a mobile income consisting of content creation, freelance photo/video work, and a remote marketing job. If you are looking for a remote job, be sure to check out remote.co and flexjobs.com!

:In my youth I camped and led an active, outdoor life. Once I started a family, due to poor choices, that all changed. Now I'm 61 and all that's left is me and my dog and this is the retirement life it seems my destiny has drawn. 40-years of comfortable living is making the decision harder than it should be. So cute. Great rig. Wish I did this stuff when I was younger. I did a lot of camping, but it was more family camping with extended weekend trips. Not long-term living on the road. Admire the adventurours nature of young folks. Maybe I'll get myself a rig one of these days after the kids all go to college and move out.

In 2015 I started RVing full time. I got a diesel 2006 ford F450 (30K miles) with a Lance 1181 camper (also 2006) on it for $60K. I'm guessing bought your rig new for that price. I did have to spend $10K on an EGR system upgrade (knew that was going to happen) $1500 on a new FICM These are the standard post emission upgrade 6.0 liter problems. Head stud replacement (not sure what that cost but nothings free but it got done with the EGR upgrade expense. I had it "bulletproofed" and it's been over 8 years without another problem. All the things that went wrong did so in the first year I had it. I've got 80,000 miles on it now. The problems happened before I got past 30K miles. Oh, I did blow a turbo boot 3 years ago that the tow was the most expensive part of that but a minor repair. Get a solid metal one if you never want to have that problem if you have a ford turbo diesel. I'd buy one again if it was the right price and I needed one. But if the stuff I mentioned wasn't done yet, I'd deduct the cost of them at todays' prices from the purchase price.

It doesn't just "seem"like a lot of money.. Actually it's not a "lot" of money, it's a ridiculously insane, Enormous amount of money.
I've put more than that "down"..but it had 100 x's the footage with 100' of grass and a pool.

Im in the wrong business. If people are paying $55k for that little toy, I need to change what I'm doing. The trailer I'm finishing up right now will most likely sell for around $12k and it's got twice the room in it that this little thing does.. I could replicate that pop up truck camper for $10k easy.

Quite the rig you have young lady! Very cool! Glad to hear you take your safety seriously as so many people don't till its too late...
I know you didn't mention having a firearm (and that's understandable) but if you don't, I truly recommend seriously considering it.
Bad people are everywhere and most bad guys don't act alone. You certainly look like you could handle a 9mm no problem. As I've
always said g-ns don't make people bad, but people do bad things with g-ns. (the hypersensitive censors on Y-tube are offended by the
word G-un.) 😭 Anyway, enjoyed the tour of your rig, stay safe! 👍

I had a similar looking, but extremely cheaper slide on camper I lived in for a year.
So I'm fully aware of nightime sounds, and of course the most dangerous creature - other humans.
Of the so many stories, I suppose the worst time is in lightning storms! They aren't faraway cages, so I slept inside the uncomfortable car for those.
The best times were all other days, with beach camping my favourite.
Since no one can pay for a year of campsites! I only found free ones or illegal out of site spots.
Once I had some crazy woman screaming at me, You can't camp here! I literally drove 5 kms up the road and found an even better (illegal) spot.
The idea is to arrive late and leave early. Although some hideaway spots I spent weeks at.
In my country 'free camping' spots are like 48hrs, and all other government land is illegal to camp on! Silly law.
You can do it on a shoestring.
All up my camper + 2010 car, was $25k.
Most of the time I lived on chunky soups.
Definitely one of the best times in my life. Howling wolves and all.
I sold my camper mega cheap and moved into a share house😢 Um yes it's horrible.
I dearly want to do it again, but with a better slide on camper. As you have. But I'm not a Director of anything.
I did a lot of walks/hikes everywhere. The strangest part is seeing everyone go home (in towns) and then driving off to a bush secluded spot.

"I lived in a car for a year."
If anyone wants to live life in a camper that would be
a good thing to do beforehand. Then when you started
living in it you would feel like "Wow...look at all this cool
living space in here! This is amazing."
    It's called the
    "Appreciation results from contrary experience"
    rule of things.
    What a lovely, lovable lady.
    She's a real traveler.
$55K for just the camper? Wow!!
