You mention in the description below that you recommend using the 10ah battery but what if I wanted to go crazy and install a 20, 30 or 50ah brick? Should I need a different load balancer?
You can use any amp hour you want. Just match your system voltage
Ah .. Now I see you have been fiddling with dual battery set ups and ways to carry the extra one. Very nice. You can also get an aftermarket 20-30 ah battery to toss on the rack in a mount bracket or bag. I have seen 3 battery set ups in my fb group. The AR Kepler can hold dual 20 ah 52V batteries on the rack for 60 ah of juice total 😂
The real question is, can our butts sit on those seats for that long? 🤣
Is there a recommended bags/boxes that can be use to mount the second Lectric battery to the frame?
Our first inclination is to use the Lectric large rear basket with padding etc.
We have seen a lot of chatter about using Harbor Freight hard cases as well. Some people are putting them in padded backpacks and strapping it to the frame rack. Others are equally weighting deep pannier bags and storing them there. Time permitting, we hope to put out a video addressing this.

So what’s the difference of adding this to a spear battery and just use the balancer with Amazon battery 10V.9H you shared us. Sorry I’m a bit confuse.
The adapter is specifically built for the Lectric battery.
A lot of folks bought a second Lectric battery before they knew about the kit and the battery you mentioned. This adapter was made for them.
I have the new lectric xp st longrange with extra battery that is 14amp will the kit work with that

The 20A kit with the external factory adapter is what you need
The controller is 20 amp so I'm assuming I only need 20amp kit
40amp kit would be overkill
It's the 3.0 extended range with free battery so 24amps total when connected that's where I was confused but controller only operates on 20amp

Yes. It will work. The real criteria is the voltage rating. You want it to match the factory 48V rating.
