Bought this for my xp lite easy install works as advertised
Man that install looked so easy it did not take long at another thing I thought I wouldn’t be able to do you make it look so easy I’m confident I can do this install and I do not know anything about e bikes I’m learning by watching your videos
Take your time and look out for your connections. Everything will be fine😎
@@ElectricAllWheel do you know when your getting more in to be able to order? I noticed it says currently out of stock.
We should receive another shipment by the end of this coming week.
Great video. Super helpful. I ordered the Folding Rear Pedals that you recommend, but I can't seem to get them to fit. Can you do an installation video, please?
Matt, I finally got a 20 mile bike ride in with the dual balancer with my 20 AH non oem and 10.4 ah lectric batt. It was great, but weather is still on the too cool side for an all day ride. Just wanted to say thanks. and I suggest your ElectricAllwheel site and product whenever I can!
Great to hear! Thank you for your support!
I wish you made a upgrade kit or plug and play replacement for the Lectric M-5 screens.
You answered this question with a different video. But I want to make sure before I hook it up. If I were to use my other EBike battery which is 52V, 17.5 AH on the Lectric 2.0 with the discharge balancer, I would simply max out that 52V battery at 48V because that is what the Lectric battery is. But I would not do any damage to either battery by doing this? Thanks.
The balancer balances discharge between and to equivalent voltages at a maximum current discharge. Principally, the hardware can sustain a large range of voltages. Current discharge is different.
The official answer, for sake of your battery’s BMS, stay within uniform principles of use.
Another answer is, a battery operates in a range of voltages. You can see this on your Lectric charger label maximum output.
Covet your BMS.
What shipper do you use for the Dual Battery Discharge Balancer Kit for 48V 500W E-lectric Folding e-Bike? Thanks!
USPS
Hello. You may have already answered this. I just purchased the XP 2.0 Long Range Edition with the 14ah battery. Will this setup work with that configuration? If so, any issues or things I would need to keep an eye on?
That battery will have to be adapted because of the plate connectors. We are hoping to have a viable solution at the end of October. Stay tuned! In principle, the kit will still work with any 48V battery.
The recommended aftermarket battery has a XT60 connector which plugs directly into the extension cable from the kit.
Does the key still need to be in the on position for the internal battery to work?
Yes
When I plug in the 2nd battery to the bike should it say that it's fully charged like all bars or should it be at 1 bars?
The display/controller will share energy bars of the two batteries viewed as one.
You will need to independently charge your batteries
From what I’m hearing you can add
2x batteries with the Internal xp 2.0 battery but with 2 balancer’s connectors and this will work?
The xp 2.0 will be 48V 30ah, Is this sufficient longer range and work with the default controller. I do food delivery
Uber Eats/ Doordash on XP 2.0. I just need that longer ranger or torque!!
Or can you use 48V 20Ah with stock controller and add dual balancer.
Think of amp hours (Ah) as the gas tank size. The stock 48V Lectric battery has 10Ah gas tank. With the balancer kit you can add as big of an extra gas tank (Ah) that you want so long as that tank (battery) is rated at 48V
@@ElectricAllWheelthanks a lot for the help👍🏻
In the event of one battery being short circuited will it affect the other battery? In other words, is there diode isolation for both batteries?
The batteries can operate independently if necessary.
When you plug in the charger to the bike with the batteries installed and connected will it charge both at the same time?
The batteries will need to be charged separately.

So does that mean that I can add a third battery and triple the range of my base 10 amp-hour battery?
It has been done, Yes. It might be more practical to choose a battery that provides all the Ah you desire in total.
Can you add a third battery to XPremium?
We have not been through the wiring configuration and controller limits of a premium.
Our first inquiry would be about the existing dual battery connection components.
Our second question would be about the current limit of the premium controller.
These questions would relate to current limits of the balancer and needs for further configuration.
Ultimately the answer is yes. A third battery is not an unreasonable concept.
We do not have the information to give an assertive confirmation regarding the kit.
Just out of curiosity will this work on the new 3.0?
Yes. The controller connectors on the 3.0 have been upgraded to XT60 so it’s an even easier fit
My bike's battery is 12Ah. The 10Ah I bought will put me at 22Ah. Will that still work with the 20Ah balancer kit? What happens?
It’s a 20A current limit balancer.
The “amp hours” are the tank size.
The 20A limit is the “fuel line” size
@@ElectricAllWheel Thank you, that makes sense. My balancer gets here on Saturday, I'll let you know my results.
Hello I just bough an Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 white long range.(new battery 48V 14Ah) I would like to know if I buy a battery 48V 20 Ah ($389.99) from the seller that you recommend (Hailong) and I buy form you your Dual Battery Discharge Balancer Kit (20A) (Lectric Fit) Regular price $50.00 and install both parts that I just mention will my new Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 white long range will not any problems ? Will I have extra range ? will it hurt in any way having a battery with more amps (20 Ah)? thanks for our help
The real criteria to worry about is the voltage rating and the connector type on the battery since the balancer has XT60 connectors.
Think of amp hours as gallons of gas in your 48V tank.
With the balancer, you can have as many Ah in your tank as you can carry so long as they are 48V rated.
I would do this before paying $500 for a long range battery.
Tons of people have and are very satisfied
Can this kid work on the radwagon?
Email electricallwheel@gmail.com send some pics of your battery to controller connectors and we can see about setting you up
