Hands down the best handlebar mod tutorial out there for this bike...thank you! I have an aftermarket handlebar that is a consistent 7/8” all across the stem area so it doesn’t have the thicker 1” stem attachment spot in the middle. The XP has a stem to handlebar bracket that appears to require a minimum 1” handlebar width to tighten down properly. Should I just buy a shim that’s converts the 7/8” handlebar to 1” ?
I just picked up a new one of these, and I purchased all of the items suggested for my upgrade. The quill seems to be welded in, and will not come out.
My stock ones got play up top I'm afraid of the allen bolt on top cuz they don't want to bust it off it's very tight and painted on but thank you for the knowledge
I ordered two stems (one as part of the BMX kit) for two separate bikes. One stem was fine and installed/functions without issue, but the other stem was defective - it can not be opened, even with considerable force, enabling it to be installed. After many many emails back and forth with the company, and having even sent a video demonstrating that even with all my force I could not open the stem (yes, I know how to open them, I installed one already remember), they eventually, after many delays and follow-up confirmed it was defective and confirmed they would send return mailing label. I have now been waiting for days, with absolutely no response from them after, again, many emails, to receive the return shipping label. I am now initiating a charge dispute through my credit card company. Just be aware if planning to place an order. As I said, the product is very cool, their treatment of customers if product has a defect, at least based on my experience, is terrible. Buyer be aware.
was moving the shifter, grips, etc.. as easy as taking them off the original handlebars and putting them on the bmx ones? Really looking into doing this.. but im no good when it comes to wiring lol
Not sure the reason you wouldn't use the factory stem, and just replace the handle bars, I would like to have a similar hight to factory set up with a wider handle bar set.

Thanks for this video! Are there any extended quil stems that can give the BMX handlebars some more height? My stock handlebars are set pretty high 21 inches, I'd like to switch but I'm afraid the new height will be way too low for me.
Does anyone know what size of quill stem adapter fits the Vitilan Pro 2.0? My bike is still in shipping but I'd like to order the parts that I need for the BMX conversion.
Wish I saw this before buying my stuff. I went through the same thing. 1st quill was too loose. Got the right 1 and then the next stem was too big for my bars. I have to send it back. After doing all this I'm thinking the bars will be too low making me reach and bend over too much. But we'll see.

Did you consider installing dirt bike handlebars? If so, why did you go with BMX bars over dirt bike bars? It sort of looks like all the BMX bars do is replace the long stock stem ending up with about the same thing but with less space on the bar to mount accessories. Great video btw....just got my XP and trying to figure out what upgrades I should do. The fender vibration or whatever it is that vibrates at higher speeds is about the only annoyance I'm noticing so far...and also the lag in throttle response...not sure why there is like a one second delay before the motor responds to the throttle movement...You automatically get used to it but I would rather have an instant response.
press up+down and hold few seconds. press select to advance to p11. press down to lower count. press up+down to exit. Recheck values as sometimes pressing up+down same time messes up.
Hello and thanks for all of the great information you are providing. Do you think that the stock stem could be cut down shorter and still preserve the ability to fold? I just got my Lectric XP 2.0 up and running this week and really want to change the handlebar situation. I find the stock steering to be quite jerkey and want to replace it with something with a more swept back, relaxed and upright position. Thanks again for this great video. Awesome video! New Lectric XP owner here. Sorry, for the dumb question but what size is the stem? 25.4 mm? I also see you have some sort of thin foam or between the handle bars and stem. Does that come with the stem or is that separate? Can the handle be raise higher or lower? What do you need for that? Thanks.
Hiya, 25.4mm is correct for the stem size. That foam you see is actually holding on my digital display to my handlebars it's not holding the handlebars to the stem although it kind of looks that way.
