What is the difference between log shooting (flexible iso) vs selecting slog 3 in the picture profiles?
No difference, sony’s new menu system is just a bit confusing on that specific topic. But I’d recommend doing flexible iso as its quicker in mu opinion
with the flexible ISO you cant use gamma display assist so you end up looking at flat image and its hard to see the footage on the LCD during sunny days. So better to use slog3 in picture profile and then turn on the gamma display assist so you can preview footages with color while shooting

Thanks for a great,, concise, starter guide! I have upgraded from the A7C and I can't find the option to shoot 4k 30fps. I only see 24fps and 60 fps. Where do I find the option for 30?
You likely need to switch the camera to PAL mode

I found it! I was able to get my memory settings for a 30fps A Roll setting and a 60fps B Roll/Slow mo type footage. I was able to find it somewhere in the video quality setting menu. I tried a few options and stumbled upon the one that I needed. Thank you!@@MomentTutorials
I don't understand the continuous autofocus on this, it always focuses to the edges, regardless of what I'm photographing, ( mostly landscapes.
Anthony Brown Hi, can you please tell me if there are any limitations when I have a camera monitor connected to the Sony A7 C II?
Does it show a full screen picture with the camera settings displayed?
Does autofocus work in all shooting modes?
I currently have a Sony A7 iii and when I connect the on-camera monitor, the image only shows 4:3 and not full screen. I also can't use autofocus when I shoot at 4 to 25 FPS!😢

Thank you for the video. I have a question about the "tracking" (and not recognition target). You use it on the screen and it looks very efficient. I think this tracking option exist when you use the evf, without the screen. Can you tell me how to use it because i can't see it in your video or other test videos i've seen on youtube about the a7cII.
Thanks for watching! Subject tracking I believe will be on by default and if you have face-priority it will focus specifically on a face rather than a subject! Hope this helps! - Victor
I think shooting 100mb 4:2:2 vs 100mb 4:2:0, you would get better quality video with 4:2:0 as the codec has more headroom to work with. You’re effectively choosing more colour detail at the expense of overall image quality
That is not true, image quality will essentially remain the same, 10 bit 422 simply gives you more color depth
@@MomentTutorials yes, but more colour depth with the same 100mb base. Storing more information in colour at the same bit rate surely must mean a loss of information somewhere else correct?
with high speed sync is the camera shutter stuck on 160 ?

Unfortunately, you can't pause video while recording, you can only start and stop recording. Hope this helps!
Sony a7cii don't have dual iso like the one of big brother a7iv
That’s incorrect. Sony A7Cii has dual native ISO, same as A7IV.
While not listed it most likely does as they have the same exact sensor.
